LOVE my Motorola Moto G (3rd gen)!!!

The Motorola Moto G (3rd generation) is the best budget phone I've ever owned! I absolutely love this thing! I'm not the type of person to spend $600 on a cell phone because I don't use it for anything extensive, just the basic functions like calling, texting, checking emails, browsing Pinterest, listening to music, and I take a lot of pictures of my pups, so it's not worth spending a huge amount of money on a phone for myself. That being said, this phone is great for the functions I need it to do and the price wasn't super cheap, but affordable. I paid $219 for it and it was worth every penny.
PROS:
The phone has a 13MP camera and takes beautiful pictures for what's considered a budget phone, I attached some pictures I took with the camera. I opted to buy the slightly more expensive Moto G with the 16GB storage and 2GB RAM and IMHO the extra RAM is definitely worth the extra cost. I have several gaming and other apps on my phone and there's no lag in any of them. The phone loads and browses SUPER fast! I also like that there is no bloatware preloaded on to this phone, so you can download the apps that YOU want and not have to deal with all the junk apps that the other manufacturers preload on there. The battery life is absolutely amazing. I think the longest I've gone without charging my phone was 4 days and I'm constantly messing around on it, so I would consider that to be excellent battery life. Again, I think that's because it doesn't have all of that bloatware that runs in the background like other phones have even when the phone is asleep. I was pleasantly surprised at how incredibly loud and high quality the phone speaker is and I love that the speaker is on the front of the phone not the back like many others. I can actually clearly hear my music when I'm showering, the sound is not muffled at all by the running water. The phone is equipped with gorilla glass for the screen and is also waterproof for up to 30 minutes, so it's very durable; however, I would never test the validity of how waterproof it is on purpose. And finally, I love that you can buy different colored interchangeable battery covers for the back of the phone, so you can customize it to your taste and style without paying a premium price for a phone just because it's labeled "limited edition".
CONS
I can only think of two very minute cons and those include:
-The battery is not removable (but neither is the iPhone's and the iPhone is much more expensive to replace).
-This is not a con for me, but it might be for other people, is how basic the phone is on startup. However, I like the fact that I can add and delete whatever apps I want to rather than being stuck with apps that I never use and are just taking up space and slowing down my phone.
If you're looking for a fast, fully functional phone with a great camera, high quality sound, and long battery life at an affordable price, you can't go wrong with the Motorola Moto G (3rd gen).

I'm a very light cell phone user. I originally had a Moto E with TracFone service. I was looking for something very low in cost, considering my usage. The TracFone prepaid plan works perfectly for me. The Moto E nearly met my needs, but the 2 GB of internal memory was quickly filled and I couldn't install any new apps, upgrade existing ones, or upgrade the operating system. The Moto G provides several improvements over the E. It has more memory, a front-facing camera, and a flashlight. Maybe there are some other useful improvements, but again, I'm a very light user. One thing I liked better about the E was the size. The E fit comfortably in the front pocket of a pair of jeans. The G is only a little bigger, but it fills my pocket to the brim. It's a little awkward taking it out while sitting.

I like the Moto G3 phone except for the size. I replaced a Droid Mini and was use to a more compact size. This phone is feature rich and user-friendly. I am still exploring and learning to use some of the features. It definitely has a long lasting battery. It will last several days on a charge, whereas my Droid Mini had to be plugged in nightly. (larger phone translates into larger, longer lasting battery). Takes better photos as well. Very reliable. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay $600 or $700 for a Smart Phone which essentially is a disposable device. All in All a very nice phone!

I have to admit, this was a 2nd choice for a phone, mainly to look for a slightly cheaper brand. But that being said, for an unlocked phone, it is well worth the money. its cell performance is actually quite good, whether in call sound quality, or actually using all types of apps from games to practical ones like Waze, and even to those used in the field of meteorology like Radarscope. the only thing that keeps it from being a 5 is that I can't get rid of the indicator saying the back cover isn't perfectly sealed when I did everything like I was supposed to.
and some advice when getting the phone setup right after purchase: upgrade to android 6.0 right away via your wifi at home before doing anything else, that way you're fresh with it. and use the migration app to bring things from your old phone to this one, as motorola's app did quite well in the migration of photos and files from my samsung rugby pro.

Purchased Moto G 3rd Generation after in-debt reviews on-line. Nice size, 4G very fast. I believe it can do everything a I-phone 6 can for 1/3 of the price. Got a Track-phone sim card and a 200 minute pay-as-you-go card $40, best deal to be found . (triple minutes) Now almost 4 weeks later my data and minutes have hardly changed. Texts have dropped a bit but downloaded free "whatsapp" for instant messaging (wifi) so hardly any text used. Pictures are pretty decent, not as bad as described on line. Long battery life and nice features. Regular use, no gaming. Pretty impressed with this phone, it's a "keeper" . Received very well packaged and within reasonable time.

The Moto G (3rd Generation) is an excellent phone for people who are looking for all the core features in a smartphone at a more affordable price. One recommendation: opt for the 16GB model because it also has 2 GB of memory. Without very many additional applications installed, the memory usage on my phone hovers around 1.0 - 1.2 GB of memory in use. I suspect that the 8GB storage / 1GB memory phone would not be nearly as enjoyable to use.
The phone is responsive and smooth-operating. I find the screen to be clear, bright, and sharp. The rear-facing camera takes good pictures in bright light situations, but it's not great in lower light. The speaker is fairly loud and sounds better than my last phone did. The battery has good capacity, with me averaging only 35 - 40% battery use through a typical day of light to moderate use, meaning that I can get 2 days of use out of the phone before having to recharge. The ability to add an SD card for more storage is also a plus, particularly if you take a lot of pictures or load a lot of music on your phone.
I really like that Motorola keeps this phone's software very close to a pure Android experience. I also was very happy to receive an update to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) the first day I started using it. I have been using the phone on T-Mobile for over a month, and my experience so far is that the 4G network speeds are good and audio quality is good. One negative for me is that this phone doesn't support WiFi calling like many of the phones that T-Mobile sells directly.
My goal was to find an Android phone with all the core features I need for daily use without spending an arm and a leg. This Moto G (3rd Generation) is exactly what I was looking for.

I'm really pleased with this purchase. I looked into several phones before purchasing and ultimately decided this was the best choice for me. Some of the things I really like about this phone is that it comes with basic android, nearly no extra bloat ware apps from a phone company or a provider. I have compared it next to a samsung galaxy 6 and this actually performs functions just as fast if not faster!!! I would definitely buy this phone again. FYI I got the 16 gb version. The only downside is the camera is not as good compared to other higher end phones such as the samsung galaxy 6. But motorola offers a few cool features, one of them being a quick double flip of the wrist and the camera open automatically. No lag time making it great to snap a picture right away!

For a little over $200, this phone provides great value for what you're getting. Phone is very responsive, holds plenty of things in its memories, and loads apps extremely quick. The gestures to quickly access your flashlight and camera are also very useful. Only true downside is the 720 display instead of the 1080 but I personally can barely tell the difference.

Great Razr M Replacement

I bought this phone to replace my aging Razr M that I had been using on Verizon. With this phone I switched to ATT.
This phone is larger than the M but smaller than many other phone avaiable today. Screen iseasily readble but I find I can no longer do all of operation I want with one hand. I need to hold the phone in one hand and operate with the other.
Battery life has been fantastic. On days that Imake call, useblue tooth, navigate with GPS and use other apps I can last the entire day on one charge. My "normal" days are much lighter use and I get 2 to 4 days on a charge especially if I shut it off at night,
Note that this phone does not have the gyroscope sensor so you cannot use it with Google Cardboard. ALso there is not built in voice recognition. You need enable google and inernet access to ask it to call someone in your phone book. For these things I knocked one star off.
Note I did find an app called VoiceDial that does a passable job of voice recognition for calls with requiring an internet connection.
Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS all seem to work fine on this phone.
ATT - signing up with them was a nightmare and the first bill is double what they said it would be. My advice about switch to ATT - don't do it.

Needed a phone in the $200 range. Display, speed and phone features keep me from missing my previous iPhone 5 I ran through the washing machine. Since my carrier doesn't " give" me an upgrade phone, I'll be using phones in the Moto price range and will be happy. Sorry Apple.

I bought this phone for my wife after a lot of research. She loves it. This phone is unlocked for use on any carrier. She uses it on Straight Talk off AT&T towers. Very good battery life, smooth software, easy to operate, Works great. I would recommend getting 2gb ram 16gb memory it is a little more but worth it.

I got this Moto G 3rd Generation phone to replace my 5 year old Motorola Atrix. There is definitely a learning curve but, I'm starting to get used to it. It's about $500 cheaper than my wife's I phone and has much of the same capabilities. Getting used to the email system, finding photos, etc. all takes some getting used to but, once you get familiar with it, you'll like it. Seems to have good battery life and I really like the voice recognition system that lets me dictate texts, Google, etc. I really like the optics and sound so, I'm good with this phone.

T-Mobile Users: As soon as you get this phone, download and install the updates. It will end up on Marshmallow. Until you do this will not send or receive calls (Motorola forums call this problem "silent calling". Texting and browsing will work, but no calls.
So I've only had the phone for 24 hours. It is running great on Marshmallow. Nice screen. Takes pictures with minimal lag. Photos look good. This is a great deal on an unlocked phone.

This is an excellent android phone which becomes even better when it is updated to Android 6 Marshmallow and has a 32 gb RAM module added. It is fast, holds a charge for a couple of days, and I love the camera. This is, hands down, the best cell phone I have ever had. It is unlocked and I used the BYOP from Tracfone kit to bring it onto that provider. So far, my experience has been great!

I was looking for an unlocked sim phone, And this fit the bill. Only critique is that depending On the Provider there May be limitations for the extent you can use it. However, over all it is fast, has plenty of storage, and I have no phone payments.
