A wonderful Phone vs any other phone I was considering to buy. The price is so cheap for what you get. The first thing I would like to mention is that it is water proof and I have tested it personally twice. The Battery life is more than amazing vs my Wife's iphone and my other Galaxy . It takes really minimal time to charge vs my Samsung Galaxy . The phone is very responsive and user friendly. This is my 3rd motorola I had the Startac, the Razr and the Droid. I just have to say that Motorola really knows what they design. Really nice phone for the amount you pay for. And it was available in-store so i just went and picked it up and didn't need to wait for shipping.

Our mistake... we did not buy a warranty from Best Buy (so inexpensive) so now we have to contact Motorola directly to see if we can get a fix :(

    WORTH EVERY PENNY

The Moto G (3rd generation) is a great device. It's running Android Lollipop, stock Android. The 13MP camera takes gorgeous shorts, and the 5MP front facing camera is there for the perfect selfie. Too bad the 8GB version was the only one available at best buy but it does have a micro SD slot for expandable storage.

Purchased this phone as a gift for my sister. She absolutely adores it. Heard amazing things about the previous 2nd gen so thought I'd try this one out. Set up was a breeze! Phone is so smooth. And the camera isn't so bad for the price. We activated it on metro pcs and it works flawlessly. But if you r activating on metro pcs. After u activate Google "how to set up moto g on metro pcs" after we found the how to, added all the info lte worked right away. Don't have a metro agent help u they honestly didn't know how to do it. So I advise unto Google it. Only took a few minutes. But dies work on metro. I highly recommend this phone! Amazing battery life!

Worked fine in Japan and now in US with Tracfone.

I bought Moto G 3rd generation (8gb memory) for trip to Japan this summer. The phone worked wonderfully with prepaid SIM card. (I believe that you have to show proof of address in Japan to activate though, physically it works.) After the trip, I tried Tracfone's new BYOP SIM with this. Activation via online was easy and I transferred my number and air times from old Tracfone without any problem. (I waited an hour or two to complete switching). Now my Tracfone is using GSM network instead of CDMA and reception in my area is much better! Battery life is good, takes pretty good pictures, all my apps are running fine, and I like 5" screen size. I wish I had 16gb storage ( mine is almost full with apps) but for $159, it gets Five Star. I am very happy with the purchase.

Best Mid Ranged Phone in 2015 so far......

Other than the 2gb ram model you cant do better. Good battery life lasts all day even with heavy use. 720p screen looks surprising good indoors and out. Water resistant just put an sd card in to make up for the small amount of internal storage and your good to go. Hope they start selling the two gb version even though I not really seeming miss not having two gb of ram. Btw I game browse online and run gps sometimes all at the same time and have had no problems maybe if I play some hardcore games like gta or the COD android clones.

Motorola has made a great budget smartphone with this Moto G! The screen looks great, camera takes fast good looking pictures and the battery life is also good! What I love about this phone is how it is almost stock android with a few moto addins that help out the phone for the better!

This phone is really good for the price. As others have stated, it does get a bit hot with heavy use, but not really an issue. Camera is not the best, especially in low light. I do like this phone overall, as does my wife. We purchased two of these for less than what some of the top end phones cost alone. Great buy in my opinion, would buy again.

Good things: Price, Front camera, Build, Battery life Bad Things: Touch not so good and responsive, Back camera, Lags and you will only get 4.5 Gb memory to use rest is taken by OS. GUI is very basic If battery life strong phone and front camera is your need this is best phone. Overall i would love to purchase it next time as well as in this price it is a good deal.

I have owned this phone for about two weeks now. It is a great new phone from Motorola. If you like the Moto G 1st or 2nd gen, then you will definitely like this 3rd gen upgrade. Call quality is very good and the camera takes very nice pictures. You will not be disappointed.

Not compatible with T-mobile's new LTE Frequency

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased this phone to use on the T-Mobile network only to return it after learning it does not support band 12, Band 12 is the new 700 mhz frequency T-mobile has deployed that offers better range and coverage. "Plus we've added Extended Range LTE™, a signal that reaches 2x further and is 4x better in buildings than before." http://explore.t-mobile.com/4G-lte-network I contacted Motorola and was told T-Mobile requested the new frequency not be included on this phone. http://www.motorola.com/us/products/moto-g Bottom line is this phone will run on T-Mobile's network but it will not match premium phones sold by T-Mobile. It will access the slower and weaker frequency's.

I bought this with out checking the reviews. I'm very happy with the phone for the stuff I do. In one year I barely use 1G of data and only about 2000 pics/video. It does the job for the price. I don't like that you can't see the % of battery use on the main screen but if you dig inside you can see the % left.

The phone is nice, a good size. Battery life is fine. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it gets the job done. One of the cooler features is that you just shake the phone twice to get the flashlight to come on, although if you disable background data, that feature is turned off.
