The unlocked nature of the phone and its ample storage capacity are also well-received. While some users have expressed disappointment in the lack of a built-in compass, the overall positive feedback highlights the phone's value and functionality.

Obviously there are stronger phones, but the Moto G4 is the most one can get for the least - no other phone from a reputable brand does better for this price. Also, very important and not so common - the user interface is very clean and minimalistic - as close to Google's stock android as it can get...

Opted for the 32GB and it works great with my pay as you go plan from Tracfone. Was able to switch to 4g lte from 3g which was a big plus. Camera is more than adequate and the 32GB give me the ability to load up the apps.

The Moto g4 keeps right up with flagship phones a year old for less than half of the money. Battery life is good, lasting easily all day long with heavy use. Wi-Fi works great and it makes great phone calls too. The best performance for the money right now.

This phone was purchased as my replacement phone for my Nexus 6 which developed battery problems. The Moto G4 fit the price point and had enough memory to run the usual apps. The camera is quite decent, and consistently takes good photos.

Phone has good battery life and sound. Really like the size of the screen. The only con is sometimes the screen goes a little crazy. Online people are calling it a ghost touch. I reboot the phone and it fixes it. Doesn't happen all that often. Would have given it a 5 otherwise.

I bought this to replace a MotoE because I needed a better phone and one that was unlocked to take to Europe. I've been very satisfied with this phone in the approximate month I've had it. I had no problem getting it set up with my previous TracPhone number (you will need to also get the SIM card kit, which was about $1 at Best Buy). It surfs the web well and is nicely responsive either on mobile or wifi. Big upgrade from my previous phone!

This phone has good speed and always keeps up with little lag time. 32g of Mem is also great with another 128g in an SD card capacity.

Good phone. Better phone and Wi-Fi reception than my iPhone that it replaces. The price is a fraction of iPhone cost. Also, this phone has a headphone/headset jack to use headphones of one's choice. So far I have found nothing not to like with this phone. Very good performance per cost.

I was purchasing BLU phones because they were much more affordable, but they kept crashing or unexpectedly quitting apps. This is a great replacement. It isn't anywhere near as expensive as the Samsung smartphones available, but it does everything I need. I also love the fact that I can karate-chop the phone to turn the flashlight on.

    New phone for me

I wasn't sure if I'd like this phone at first, but I've quickly adapted to it. I had an LG Volt, which I loved, but after 2 years of use, I was running out of memory, plus the battery wasn't staying charged for more than 6 hours at best. I reviewed phones while I still could. Unfortunately, my Volt died completely the day I was picking up this phone, so I was unable to port my number over. Now I've had to start over with a new number. Luckily, I had all my photos on my SD card, so I still have them. Lost all my contacts, though. Gradually getting them in this phone & notifying others of the change. So far I'm really enjoying this phone. Love the options I have with the photo app. The one thing I can't figure out yet is how to get some stuff moved to the card. And if I've received photos from someone else, I can move most photos into the album I want, but with others, I'm unable to get the "select" option to move them. They stay in "messenger". I have small arthritic hands but I've found I can handle this phone just fine, in spite of it being larger than the Volt. That's even without a case (I was sold the wrong one-it was the case for the Moto G4 Play). I'm recommending this phone for my daughter. She has a Volt, too, & it's almost out of memory, but is still running fine.

Solid hardware, quick processor, SD Card Slot (up to 64g), no bloatware = one fast, smooth, gorgeous phone. No glitches. Fine camera. Other reviewers tend to point out that it's not a high-end phone, but once you add the apps you love, the launcher that's perfect for you, and customize it with accessories, personalization and make it yours - what more could you ask for. No contract, no obligation, great price.

Just what I needed at the right price. I compromised on features - no nfc or compass, but I rarely use them. I plugged in the sim card from my Samsung S4, selected "don't import apps from other android device", and it just worked. No manufacturer (eg, Samsung) customization that I didn't use anyway.

I am really pleased with this phone and the only thing was the notification sound getting so low after update but is supposed to be fixed after the Nougat 7.1 update by December
