I have noticed a few drawbacks though: 1. Edges are smooth and slippery. Make sure to get a case; (2) For a new phone, it eats up battery power a lot; (3) The camera lense bulges out a bit so I am not sure if you have to be careful when you touch that part of the phone.

Garbled voices on phone

Extremely garbled and with much echo. They can hear me, but I can't understand them at all. I'm using the same Verizon account, upgraded to a Moto G5 Plus from a Moto G3, calling and receiving calls from the same locations as always. This echo is to the point that I have to disconnect and dial back, sometimes using a home phone. Possibly due to carrier, but I've used that carrier for years with other phones, and I haven't experienced that.

Example: streaming music while using GPS. Very happy with it. Have had it for a few months and no issues or bugs so far. I've read some reviews about wifi dropping and having to reconnect often manually, but I have not had that issue either.

I wish the screen was slightly larger, and oftentimes people that I call complains of not being to hear me clearly. I don't know if that is a malfunction/defect of the phone, or if it is going to be that way for the life of the phone.
