This is the first unlocked phone I've purchased, and I've been pretty happy with it over the first couple of weeks. I'm using the phone on Verizon. I walked into a Verizon store and they gave me a nano SIM card for it, and activated it free of charge. The battery life is great. It accommodates an external microSD card, which is a must for me. The camera is slow to focus and respond to shutter push. It has been fast on WiFi and 4G connections. It doesn't come bloated with extra apps that I don't want and can't get rid of. The fingerprint unlock has worked pretty well with both of my thumbs. I appreciate the notification previews that allow me to see what's there without having to unlock the screen. I wasn't expecting this to rival the top of the line Verizon flagship phones, but for $300 it is a very functional bargain compared to the $700 or so you'll drop on those.

I will give it to her on Christmas

This phone is amazing for the $225 I spent on it! Water resistant, amazing battery life, a headphone jack, and it performs well enough for everything I need to do. Videos on YouTube look great, and games like Super Mario Run play well with no studder. I had an LG G5 that I was very unhappy with, and this phone solved all the issues I had!

Overall this phone has been working out great. It can run all my apps and the fingerprint scanner is pretty cool. Minor drawback is that the speaker isn't that loud. I recently moved and use Google maps on my phone to survive :p. With the sounds of the road alone the phone can be hard to hear.

Bought this Moto G5 Plus as a gift for my mom and bring her off the flip phone era. While configuring the phone for her, I ended up liking it for it's vanilla Android layout (my daily driver is the Note 8). The phone functioned smoothly and had a simple to use camera. My mom loves the phone and doesn't miss the flip phone at all!

It is just a perfect phone for a very reasonable price.

Just got it, so no issues as of yet. Seems to be good battery life. Lasting 3 days with low usage, but always on. Has good features and more memory, which is why I had to replace the old phone. As time goes on, I may update my review

I've been using this phone for about two months, and it has been great. It is the perfect size in my hand and has a clear and bright display. I'm still learning the configuration settings, but my only minor complaint is that the log-in screen dims a bit quicker than I would like. Other than that, it's a great "budget" phone.

The price, memory and hardware combination is really great. The battery is also great as it can last all day long easy. Of course the camera could be better but then the pricing would have to match a better camera.
