Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Moto G Plus (5th Gen) for its affordability, especially during the holiday season. They are also impressed with the camera quality and the excellent battery life. The phone's storage capacity and unlocked status are also well-received. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the lack of NFC, which limits the use of Android Pay, and the speaker volume, which they find inadequate.

This phone has a very satisfactory battery life. It is easy to learn how to operate. I like the fact that this unlocked version is not cluttered with a lot of preinstalled apps. The phone is just the right size and weight for me. The lack of a compass, may be an issue for some.

I am incredibly impressed with this phone. I have always had the latest and greatest phones from htc, lg, and Samsung, depending on the features of the phones in a particular year. I most recently had an S7 edge. I decided that this was the year I would cut down the monthly charges in my phone bill. So I took a leap of faith, trusted the online reviews, and purchased this phone. I have had the phone for a little over a month. This phone is superior in many ways to my S7. It's faster, has less bloatwear, is pure Android, and seems to charge more quickly. In some ways the phone is a step down. The camera is not quite as good and my work had a difficult time adding encrypted work related programs to my phone. Overall, by dropping the insurance and monthly phone financing charges from my phone bill, I will save a ton with this phone. I do not believe that I am sacrificing much in the process. It appears that we are now at the point where even cheaper phones have most of the necessary features previously found only in high end phones. Strongly recommended.

Having owned several smart phones over the last couple of years, this is one which is here to stay until the very end of its life. Motorola has been my choice in phones even before those had touch screens. I did stray away from that brand for some time and ended up coming back due to the dissatisfaction that those other brands provided. I've not been let down with the G5 Plus. Every task I throw at it handles it with finesse and enough battery to last throughout the day. The main contributor to its performance is the minimum amount of bloat that other phone manufacturers commonly install on their phones. While those extra features make for a fun gimmick initially, practical use is hindered when the battery is slowly sucked dry by mid-day. I would definitely not hesitate to buy another Moto phone when the time comes.

Prices of smart phones have gotten out of hand. All providers are trying to rope you into more monthly payments. This was my first unlocked phone, I'll never go back. The G5 Plus 64 GB has the latest in capabilities at more reasonable price. I can't see what more you would need to do at 3 - 4 time the cost.

The Motorola G5 Plus has excellent features at a great price. Camera takes great pics and can be accessed by 2 twists of the wrist. No need for a flashlight app installation as it has flashlight that can be accessed by two quick karate chops. Has 64 gig on the phone and ability to add more on SD card. Going from a Samsung Galaxy, the transition is very easy. I love it.

works great. uploads fast, 64 GB, I plan to buy myself one in the future. bought it for hubby and he loves it. We usually prefer samsung but can't afford 800.00 for a phone so was looking for a phone in this price range with a lot of memory and this phone exceeds our expectations a lot more than we expected. I have already recommended this phone to several friends.

The phone is good for the money. It has plenty of memory for a good load of apps. I was able to merge the content of two phones onto this one. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the camera does not take high quality pictures, which I really use for business. The phone also has a strange way of randomly not allowing me to answer an incoming call. Like I said, for the money it's a good phone.

It is a great phone and does everything I use a phone for at one third the price of the new Apple and Samsung phones. Pictures are great. Battery life easily runs all day. Only thing that I find a little weak is speaker volume when used as a speaker phone.

I was tired of my cell phone plan, but it seemed as though all of the decent phones came with a plan and if not - it was going to cost an arm and a leg, but Motorola has done it right! I got the 64Gb with 4Gb of ROM. So much room and for the price of 299$ it was worth it! I put a 64Gb SD card for excess storage, but I have not even touched it yet. There is so much room and it is fast. Even came with Android 7!

So far a decent phone that doesn't have all of the bloatware that most phones have from the factory. No Uber,yp or other things that you have to remove or uninstall/disable to free up space. Phone operates flawless on most apps. I do notice on some apps I have to restart phone to totally close app(might be app alone). This has plenty of ram(4gb) which is why I chose it so your not always suffering from a very slow phone. The 5.2" screen is big enough to see what you need. Although the 5gs has a 5.5" screen. This phone is water resistant & has more ram. I do wish it had "NFC" but not on the US model. I have checked on Moto's site about the 8.0 Oreo upgrade & says must wait for the carrier to send out. Well this is an unlocked phone & with that you can go to any carrier you want. But with the prepaid carrier you may never get the newest"OS". Moto should have it available for you on their website. But you do have 7.0 or more to start with. That's better than the big 3 from the start! Most of their non flagship phones are still running 4.4,5.1, or 6.0 os.

      Hi Roadiez,

Thanks for your feedback! We are pleased to read you positive review about our phones. The phone is a stock android phone which is why it doesn't have bloatware apps and runs almost all Google apps and features.

I have a Motorola turbo 2 through Verizon and it keeps having issues and Verizon keeps sending out replacements that are certified pre-owned and always seem worse then my first phone's issue. This phone has zero issues and works even better and for the price it's a great phone, I completely replaced the turbo 2 with it and have no regrets.
