    Bought Two, Happy with Purchase

This is a great phone and highly recommended if: you don't game you don't need the latest and greatest camera(s) you don't use NFC (Google Pay) Background: I had to replace my mom's phone so I decided on the Moto G Power, but two of the reviews said the phone was "Made in India", so I bought one for myself because I'm from India and I was happy to see that some made in India phones were available in the US as many manufacturers have now built factories in India. HOWEVER, the two phones I bought were not made in India, they are made in China. It's possible that maybe earlier batches were made in India, but the ones on the shelves at my local Best Buy were not Indian-made. I almost returned one of the phones because I did not NEED a new phone, but decided on keeping it because I wanted to minimize my interaction with people during Covid. The Phone: Now to the phone itself. It does everything pretty well. The two G's were bought to replace a Moto E4 Plus and a Google Pixel XL (first-gen). Everything is better on the Moto G Power vs. the Moto E4 Plus. Everything is better on the Moto G Power vs. the OG Pixel XL besides camera and the befuddling lack of NFC (cheaper Nokias have it, this makes no sense Motorola/Lenovo). Camera: The camera is good outdoors in decent lighting. I added a GCam mod and that improved things considerably to almost as good as my Pixel XL. Even photos using Night Sight and all the other Pixel features looked pretty good (photo attached to review ). Battery: I do not game, so I can't speak to that, but day to day experience is great. The battery is out of this world. The E4 Plus also had a 5000mah battery, but had probably degraded over the years. My Pixel XL gave me about 3 hrs screen-on-time at first, but over time had dropped down to about 1.5 hrs max. With one hour of SOT currently, the battery % has only dropped to 93%. For the last year or so, I had been carrying around a powerbank if I had to leave the house for more than a couple hours, but with the Moto G Power, that appears to be a thing of the past.

My previous phone was a bargain model from about 3 years ago which I was forced to replace because it didn't have VoLTE capability. This is a significant improvement in all respects. Now, I have only had it a few days, and things like performance may degrade over time, but so far, very good. Camera takes decent pictures - not the very highest quality but good enough for most purposes. Good colors, and handles bright light well. Two samples attached. Low light will challenge any camera (phone or stand alone) and this one does ok with that too, within limitations. If you take a selfie in poor light, it lights up the whole screen white to provide more light! All the other things I've tried out work pretty well. Only downside is that it's pretty big and a little on the heavy side, especially when you add a case. If you carry your phone around all the time you'll get a workout. The tradeoff there is that it has a large screen (which really looks good!) and that big 5000 mAh battery. The battery does seem to last pretty well - a 40 minute Zoom call used up about 10% (compared to 50% on my old phone), and generated a lot less heat.

I had a Moto g7 and now this. This is a step up big time with the stereo speakers... they are huge upgrade.. sound is exceptional. Call volume could be louder though. Camera takes great daytime photos... flagship quality... but obviously at night they are not that great. But for price difference between this and flagship I can buy an amazing slr... which will take better pictures than any cell phone at night. I don't use video that much. Wide-angle send to take good pictures too...but I don't use often. These phones are very fragile so make sure you have a extremely protective case... but this is true of iPhone too... since glass body. Internet seems sluggish but it may be where I'm using my phone... not sure yet. I would but this phone again in a heart beat... better than a lot of flagship phones or there... and for the price it's almost free.

I've only had the phone for less than 24 hours, but out-of-box it's excellent! My impressions, not a review: Fit/Finish super, not too heavy/bulky for big battery, everything works as designed. No ghost touches, LTE, wifi 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, and bluetooth connectivity and performance flawless. Shipped/delivered on time. Popped in Nano Sim from my iPhone 7 to this moto g power, logged into Google, easy! Calls/texts worked right away on AT&T. (First turn off iMessage on iPhone before Sim swap) Great upgrade. Connected to Chromebook, Messages for the Web works wonderfully! Stereo speakers super loud, had to turn down. Display surprisingly superb, sharp, better than iPhone 7! Internal storage initially at 48GB free, battery at 52%, made in India on 1-20-20. Being new, downloaded, installed, and updated tons of apps and stuff and the phone *never* got hot in any spot, I really didn't even notice warmth. Have not gamed yet but lots of camera time and streaming audio. Love the ultra-wide cam, macro, and front selfie cameras! Android 10 great, has come a long way. I'll probably write a proper review on my blog at Jason Journals .com. A steal at $250!

I bought this one for my wife and she loves it....A big Hit and she loves the 64 GB storage. She loves the bigger size compared to her older one. In the pictures you see the quality of the camera how great it is. She also bought a case for it that she loves...would definitely buy again. Bought this at Best Buy November 5, 2020.

Very impressive phone with brillant screen and dynamic sound quality. While its feel is smooth and construction is solid, I love its smooth and quick response to navigating through apps and use of pages. The Motorola App provides great tip and tutelage to help understand such a technical device that it is. The unlocked phone is what I need in my travels, and the bonus is that full screen viewing with video content and those stereo speakers which deliver audio tracks extremely well.

I'm not a tech genius, so all I can say is, I knew I had to get a new phone. I had the Moto g6 play, and was going to get the g7 play. Started researching, and decided on this phone. I really like it. I set it up pretty much by myself. I love the size and weight. I hope it gives me a great 2 years as well.

I bought this phone as a back-up and started using it for basic stuff. It’s good for what you pay, don’t expect anything fancy especially if you are used to using Apple. Battery life average and that makes me give 4 stars, beyond that, touch, display, camera are very good.

I am going to start this review with its performance as a phone which I never see other reviewer do, and as a phone, it has been stellar! Transmission and reception as well as audio are very good indeed. Of course, I need to hasten to point out that I have chosen to go with Verizon as the carrier and Verizon is the major tower owner in the area where I live. Calls made from PA near Philadelphia to a friend in Wake Forrest NC were crystal clear. The camera feature works very well to take snapshots of interesting events and people and focusing is very fast. Mailing the photo through gmail to that same friend in NC was very easy and gmail , Google and Chrome all work seamlessly with this phone. You won't get lost if you have this phone with you since you can just tap the Google Maps feature and it will show your location and you can say "Ok Google, show directions to..." wherever you want to go. This is yet another function of this (and other) phone that you will appreciate and it works very well indeed. My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and that phone was very unreliable both as to dropping calls and giving directions via Google Maps (carrier was Trac*****) . That is not the case with this Motorola G Power. When you make a call or otherwise need to use the keypad you will find that it is more than large enough for normal use and nearly fills half the screen. The fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone is sensitive enough that it will, after enough uses, unlock the phone successfully for you. The key to this is to use the same finger each time - it may take six or seven taps on the sensor before it becomes "accustomed" to your print, and have a back up numeric key to unlock the phone if your finger print fails the first few times you try to unlock the phone with your finger print. DON'T PANIC! It happens at first. This is a great phone at a great price with very good battery capacity that last 3 to 4 days. Enjoy.

I had an LG Stylo 4 and the software/hardware crashed after a little over a year of owning it. After owning this for 10 days I have decided to leave a review. Day one and two of owning this phone I quickly realized that even though looking up to see if this phone was compatible with boost mobile services verifying on their website before purchase and even calling them, it was supposed to be compatible; however no data sim cards for their network at any local Tampa store were compatible. I ran around day one and two looking for any option of getting it activated on their crap network. No luck. Horrible customer service from boost, at that point I checked options and went to T-Mobile. In 20 minutes, T-mobile had switched me to their services, kept my number and all. Great customer service there. Now on night 2 I am finally able to see what this phone is capable of. Day 3 I am updating the phone with all my apps and accounts so I can feel like I'm not using a basic non customized phone. By day 4 I am learning there are shortcuts to all the necessities I use pretty often with moto actions. These are pretty cool! I use the phone in a chop chop motion and it turns on my flashlight, I twist the phone twice to open the camera, hold 3 fingers on the screen for a screenshot, dang this this has a lot of neat features - LG has nothing on this. This phone's photos are amazing quality, way better than the LG Stylo 4. It has live photo effects/filters to capture the mood you are going for. The movement and fluid like touch responsiveness is amazing! I feel like it is the best phone I have ever owned! The size is huge like the LG Stylo 4, it's actually the same size, which is why I leant towards this phone to look into it more. This phone has large memory, great ram packed behind it to power it quickly to do everything you are trying to do on a phone. This thing is like a mini computer! The speakers are insanely loud!! Call quality is great especially when using WiFi calling. I watch TV as well on here while out, great visuals I am in love. Overall this phone is amazing for the more affordable price range, if you are an Android lover like myself. Whatcha waiting for, if you read all of this I'm sure you are thinking about buying it, just go for it, you won't regret it!

I am a longtime Samsung user. I get a phone every two years - finance it for 24 months and as soon as it's up - do it again. What a dope I've been. This Moto phone does everything my Samsung 9 did and so much more (I'm talking to you (S9 finger print reader that never worked and very short battery life). For just $200 - I get a better camera, and a phone that looks and acts just as good as any Samsung I have ever bought. I feel like an idiot - All these years I've been over paying for the Samsung brand name. The Moto G battery last forever, big screen, fast processor - three camera and honestly, one of the best phones I have ever bought. I highly recommend the Moto G Power to anyone looking to have a great smart phone without having to take a pay day loan to purchase it.

I try to run my phones into the ground because after the same old song and dance of paying $600+ every two years for a phone, I was getting sick of it. Took a Galaxy S7 to almost 4 years of life before I finally had to give in and replace it. The Moto G power caught my attention in February due to the European reviews being so great about the performance and the battery life. So, I bought this the day it came out. The battery is no joke. I'm on day 2 after a full charge, and nearly 40 hours later I'm at 47% left with my normal daily use (Facebook, pictures of the kids, youtube, tracking workouts with the GPS and streaming music). I've even given COD mobile a shot just to see how the graphics are, and put a few hours into it over the past 2 days. The battery is really that big and the performance is that well streamlined. The screen is great, very vibrant except as some have pointed out around the pinhole in the front for the selfie cam. It's not a dealbreaker though. The cameras are very good, just a little slow. MY s7 was a better point-and-shooter than this, so don't expect super fast camera shots, but with the improved lens options and a very good selfie cam, this too is forgiven. I love the size, reminds me of when I used to have a Note 2, I've got big hands though so this is a preference. If you don't like big phones, don't get this one. At the end of the day, this phone is bonkers for only $250 unlocked or $99 with a new activation on some carriers. The only shortcoming I've read and not experiences is that supposedly motorola is not the best when it comes to updating their phones after a year or so, so it could become "outdated" rather quickly.
