would not recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is supposed to have a option that amplifies sound when you are talking in person which has failed over and over again, also very easy to loose.

Much Better Than The First Gen. Hint
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just picked this up at my local Best Buy last night. This new version of the Moto Hint is much better than the old version. Sound is improved and the fit is a lot better in the ear due to the redesigned ear gel that's attached to it. The pictures on this listing don't show the change since they are using the same photo's from the original listing. I have this attached to my iPhone 6 Plus and it's great for controlling Siri, listing to music while at work and for talking on the phone with the GF when at home. The charging case is convenient and I have it attached to my key chain so I don't lose this little guy. This is a good buy and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a small, reliable headset. The big plus for this is that it auto detects when it's in your ear. This is huge. Music and calls auto route to it when you pop it in. No fidgeting for buttons to turn it on or repair it.

Even better than the 1st!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned the the 1st gen device and I loved it. It was the smallest, lightest, headset I've ever used. The only drawbacks were the sound was a little tinny and the battery life wasn't great. This has improved on both those points immensely! I love the audio now even when listening to music, which I won't do much on a mono headset but still, and voices were very clear on phone conversations. Battery life is about 4 hours on it's own without cradle.

Good Bluetooth Earpiece...with a Couple Faults
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a very good Bluetooth earpiece -- sound quality is very good, battery life is pretty decent (given how small the device is), people could hear me clearly on the other end of a phone call, and it cuts out background noise and wind rather well. Only a couple negatives to the device. First, while it can be connected to two devices simultaneously, only one of those two devices can be connected for media audio output at one time, which means if you want to switch from playing Netflix, YouTube, music, etc. from one to the other, you have to play around with disconnecting and reconnecting which device you want to play the sound from. It is only connected simultaneously for calls. I find this to be rather annoying, and a decent size oversight by Motorola. My Jawbone ERA for example, can also be connected to two devices simultaneously, however both can play media through the earpiece, meaning all I have to do is hit pause on one device and play on the other, and I'm good to go. I would think that Motorola could potentially fix this with a firmware update, but I don't see how this update could be applied, given the fact that there is no USB port on the device itself. Also, since the sensor that detects whether the device is in your ear or not, which makes it automatically connect to your devices, also activates if you put the unit in your pocket. Quite annoying if you just want to carry around the small earpiece without the charging case. Yes, you can disable this in the earpiece's settings, but if you want the feature on sometimes and not others, this is quite annoying. A small "on/off" switch would solve this issue easily. I don't think giving this earpiece three stars would be fair, and I think 4 stars is maybe a bit too much, but I'm stuck giving one or the other, so I gave it four stars. If I could give the new, improved Moto Hint 3.75 stars, I would. If the two negatives I described above are not issues for you at all, this is easily a 4+ star Bluetooth earpiece.

Great improvement from previous model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the previous model for several months and didn't like how fast my case would lose it's charge and sound was very low even when just watching youtube and worse when on the phone. Pros: much more full and louder sound for music, youtube, and calls creates a sound blocking seal in your ear way longer battery on case which gives me more charges on my Hint perfect if you are a casual user of phone super discreet and light weight total geek gadget feels like spy tech very clear calls (all depends on your area and network) able to wear with cap, or hoodie, or beanie and even ear muffs noise cancellation is pretty solid protective case / charging case (great for throwing it in backpack or bag) cons: no way to turn it on/charge it without case.

Improved Sound, Fit and Battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the first and was very satisfied with it. It fit very well and it was the most comfortable Bluetooth that I had ever used until this one. It never caused any discomfort, I would forget that it was there and even fell asleep with it once. This one has even improved on that and with the better fit comes better audio during calls and even more so with music. The added battery life is also very welcome. All in all this is comfortable, discrete and it is my favorite Bluetooth headset hands down

Very pleasantly surprised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was hesitant to buy the Hint first gen because of some lukewarm reviews and the worry about "tinny" sounding audio and folks on the other end having issues hearing me. However, when I saw there was a 2nd gen I decided to give it a go and I'm very glad I did. I've tried a lot of bluetooth headsets as I'm on the phone a lot for work and spend a lot of time on the road. I always ended up with a Platronics over the ear headset (Voyager, Voyager Legend etc) but wanted something more comfortable and discreet. The new Hint is excellent. It's loud and clear and streaming music and podcasts are loud and clear. Also, I'm using with an iPhone 6 plus and Siri works very well. Excellent job Motorola.

Not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because of the small size. I thought it would be great to wear under my motorcycle helmet. After 15 minutes of wearing it, my ear hurt so bad it was throbbing. The thing is huge!! I tried all the different ear cups that it came with. None of them felt good. I have a Plantronics M55 which I love, but it sits on the outside of your ear, so wearing with a helmet is out of the question. However I can wear my M55 for almost 8hrs with no problem. The M55 has an 11hr talk time vs the 3hr expected time of the Hint. The Hint volume is very good, however the sound quality is very poor. It sounds like an old am radio. While I only used it for about a half day it disconnected from my iPhone twice while trying to answer calls. My phone was only about a foot away from me. If this is an improvement over the original Hint, I can't imagine how bad the first gen must have been.

Great Little Device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model is Greatly improved over the last one. This bluetooth works how one should work, both sides of the call sound great, it is comfortable and it looks good in the ear compared to any of the others out there. Ive tried a bunch, this one overall is the best so far.

MUCH better than first gen, but.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I had the first gen model of this, and brought it back for all the reasons others had mentioned, and when I saw there was a new version, I decided to try it once again. This version is tons better than the first one, but still a little quirky; as the last person said, you cant be connected to 2 devices and be able to listen to media on the second device without disconnecting the first one. Calls are loud and clear on my end, but others have complained about a scratchy sound on their end, plus, at times, I have a weird "echo" sound on my end when listening to music from my S6 edge phone. All in all, its a major upgrade from the first gen, but I am not 100% certain I will be keeping it. Definitely worth checking out if you want a tiny bt headset..

One of the best I've had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find the sound on this above average, very comfortable in my ear. You have to use the different tips to find out which is the best fit. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the battery life, the battery life on mine is equal or above comparable units I've had in the past. It is small, just be careful not to lose it. If I lost mine I would buy another one.

nice size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.nice size, but the sound wasn't all there. i like that you didn't see the head set but it did fall out of the ear a lot. and the connection was noisy a lot. i really wanted to keep it but it just wasn't working out and for the money it should of been perfect. hopefully they will come out with something better.

Worse than the 1st Gen Hint
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awful sound quality renders this device unusable. Unused (ie sitting in my briefcase) doesn't hold a full charge for even a week. I gambled, thinking Moto would have improved quality from the 1st to the 2nd generation device. I lost. Also - I am not a whinybutt who goes around posting negative reviews and comments - I am typically pretty easy to please. The ONLY thing this device has going for it is design - and that's not enough to justify poor function and hideous overpricing. Strongly recommend looking at a Plantronics device instead.
