The camera is amazing for the price even better than the iphones camera in my opinion! Phone runs fast and smooth too. Only downsides is the phone is very low quality in terms of build and very plastic-y. The battery drains fast and I mean FAST! I don't know if it's just my phone but I returned one to store that had a bad battery and got a brand new one with the same battery drainage issue. Other than that great phone!

This will be my 4th Motorola phone I've purchased! The value of these phones is hard to beat by any company out there. Pictures look fantastic, phone feels great with no issues. Definitely recommend this phone to anyone! Check out a picture of the Grand Canyon I took with the phone.

I've been an apple user since the apple four. I've also been a huge Android fan. But above all I love Moto. The Moto actions I use like every day. This is the first action camera on a phone and it's stellar. Plenty of space and ram. I just love this phone. It's my daily driver. Oh and the screen. I could talk about this pretty lil phone all day.

It has worked for me for the last 3 and a half years! I like this phone - the camera is decent and the battery life is good. After 3 years the battery is starting to die now and the charge time, app function and other things have started to malfunction. It still works well. For the price- this is a very good purchase and one of the good affordable phones out there! The size is super comfortable to hold too. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for something that would last you 3+ years, has a good camera, affordable, good battery life, not too big, with a good storage capacity.

This phone comes with Android 9. Moto gives you essentially pure Android with only a few Moto add-ons. It comes with 128 GB of internal storage and an option for additional storage on a MicroSD card. It also comes with a headphone jack, and fingerprint recognition that has been excellent so far. If you shoot video with your phone, you will appreciate being able to hold the phone vertically while the resulting video is a nice wide horizontal. The camera is not great, but I think most people would find it adequate, especially at the modest price point. The phone is tall and a bit narrower than many. So far, I have found it easy to access the screen with one hand. While I wouldn't want to watch videos on a small screen all the time, it handles them well. I really like the ample storage. I can carry around my entire music collection, movies and books to keep me entertained when I am stuck waiting for appointments or sitting in an airport. The battery should be better. I am not a heavy user, but I am often at 60% by day's end. Moto also does not provide their usual fast charger (turbo-power) with this phone and advises against using a different charger. These are not deal breakers for a mid-priced phone. Android 9 is not the latest Android version, but it was one reason I bought the phone. Some of the apps I use don't work right with Android 10, so I wanted to stay away from it. Android 9 meets my needs. I don't play games, and I have found the phone fast enough to meet my needs. Ample storage and reliable fingerprint recognition are important to me as is near-stock Android and a headphone jack. Call volume is fine, and I have had no issues with dropped calls or signals. So far, I am happy with this phone. I think it provides excellent value given its modest price point (about 250). At this price point, I feel I can more easily replace the phone after a few years than I can with a thousand dollar phone. I have only had this phone for two weeks. If problems should arise, I will update my review.

My Motorola Z Droid's battery was having trouble holding a charge for a reasonable amount of time, and you can't replace the battery so I finally decided to retire it and get something new! Still love the Z Droid with it's Moto mods attachments, ultra slim profile, and fast processing speed, but it was time for something new! I've only had my Moto one action for about a week now,and I must say I'm very impressed with it's performance! Holds a charge all day, has lots of internal storage, Massive screen that is crystal clear with vibrant colors, Speaker is much louder than my Z Droid was, Has headphone input on top, Great camera, and it retains most of the features I enjoyed about the Z Droid, along with some new ones! Processor speed is excellent, I can run multiple windows on Google without any lag whatsoever... I could go on but you get the picture! This phone will do anything you need it too, and more, and at a price that is phenomenal considering what you're getting. I bought the unlocked model and didn't get a plan through Best buy so I paid a little more than I could have with a plan through Best buy which was $149 but since I'm a rewards member I had some rewards certificates I applied that helped bring the cost down!! If you're not a BB rewards member you should be!! If you're on the fence over whether to get the Moto One action or not don't be. You won't be disappointed with your purchase!!!! I think it's a steal at this price!!

This phone is a very good phone,it takes awesome pictures and the software that helps edit these photos or videos after being taken is just as good as my Google pixel. The action camera is beyond awesome and being able to hold my phone normally when recording and get a 16:9 aspect ratio is literally what I wanted since phone cameras started getting so good. Setup was easy and I was greeted with 3 updates, the last one being Android 10! It's smooth, secure and alot better than Android 9. The display is Sharp (even though the big front camera lunch hole does get in the way) you'll eventually learn to naturally ignore it or to place your finger by it so it's not in the way when watching videos. There is no light bleed from it like there is the MOTO G POWER which I Also own. It's a solid phone with great spec's and the 128 gig of memory really helps alot. My only gripe about this phone is the battery with my usage is not good. I'm rarely under wifi and mainly use Mobile data and location services which drain this phone fast. I'll normally charge it twice per day and when I do it's just quick short charges not from 0-100%. Using on At&t network with no issues what so ever, call quality has been good, sending text messages even better.

    Excellent Mid-Range Phone

The Moto One Action is an excellent midrange phone. The Exynos 9609 SoC has enough power to make short work of most tasks that you would want to do on the phone. Android runs great. 4GB of RAM has not felt restrictive and the 128GB of storage is generous in this price range. With that much storage you should be able to keep music, documents, a couple movies and plenty of games on this smartphone if you want to do so. You can always add an microSD card if you need even more storage than that. Physically, the phone weight is decent for its size and doesn't feel like you are holding a brick in your hands. The phone has a 21:9 aspect ration and a 6.3" screen (435ppi). Thanks to this length vs width disparity the phone is actually very easy to hold. But you probably won't be able to touch much in the upper half of the screen if you are using the phone one handed so know that ahead of time. It has nice rounded edges and corners that don't dig too much into your fingers. The Gorilla Glass swipes easily and is definitely finger print resistant. The back of the phone is made out of a poly-carbonate plastic from what I understand and I actually love this about the phone. Feels smooth like glass and looks fantastic but is generally warmer to the touch and hopefully won't explode into a thousand pieces if I ever drop it without a case. The included TPU case is transparent, thin, light, and grippy. A nice bonus because these are the exact type of phone cases I always buy anyway. The screen is nice and sharp. I'm sure the colors aren't super accurate but I like the look. Love the rounded corners of the screen that kinda match the physical design of the phone. The cutout/hole punch camera in the top left corner of the screen doesn't bother me but I know that it does some people. It just blends in to the notification/status bar most of the time and you don't really notice it. Speaker is decent. Less metallic sounding than my last phone and gets plenty loud. Bluetooth has worked flawlessly on this phone so far. NFC is nice. I've been using it to pay for things at stores. After setting up Google Pay just unlock the phone, hold the back up to the payment terminal and wait for the sound to play and check mark to appear on screen. The triple camera system works pretty well. Pictures are of decent quality. Better, I would say, than most of the Point and Shoot cameras that I have had but nothing spectacular. Not going to replace your DSLR or anything. The image stabilization is good and being able to shoot wide format video without having to rotate the phone is both neat and kinda weird. Feels strange after so many years of rotating the phone to get that widescreen video but once you adapt it is perfectly fine. Moto gestures are great as usual. Buttons are nice and tactile. Fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate. USB-C. Headphone jack if you don't use Bluetooth headphones. Battery life is good.

Upgrade from my last budget phone

I just got this phone and I can already tell its an upgrade from the Sony Xperia A1 Ultra I had before, which was similar in price. I like the size, although its a little long, and its surprisingly snappy. There are only two things that bother me a little so far: The front facing camera location and the ultra wide screen. The camera is a little distracting sometimes because it is part of the available viewing space so when everything is lit up around it, it makes it look like a black hole. Most apps don't put anything in that area so most of the time I don't notice it. Second, the ultrawide screen is awkward when viewing regular 16:9 content, which is the majority of content out there. When watching youtube videos, the left and right sides of the screen are just black and the picture you are left with is much smaller than the 6.3" size of the screen. You are left with a screen much closer to a 5" phone. You CAN zoom the video, but it is a true zoom, and not a stretch. This means you cut off parts of the video you are watching which in most cases will not be ok. Other than that, this phone has been great. The camera is an upgrade from my old Sony but the pics still aren't as good as the S9 I use from work, which I didn't really expect. It comes with a basic clear case, which seems like a small thing but I actually loved when you compare that to the big names that don't give you squat. When factoring in price, it is hard to take away much from this phone.

So after having this phone for a little over a week here are my thoughts. For the price this is a really decent phone it’s very fast, has good storage, a beautiful screen and takes decent pictures. The only real problem I have with it is the battery. You can only get about five hours screen on time out of a full charge and charging is quite slow. I also was a bit disappointed as I thought this had already been updated to Android 10 but after looking on Google I see that was in other countries and not the US and can find no timeframe as to when this will be updated to Android 10. If you’re not a power user or somebody that just needs a decent phone to do the basic things then this is a great choice but I f you’re somebody that uses your phone pretty heavily you may want to look elsewhere simply because of the battery.

I love it. This replaced my older Motorola G5 Plus. It's still a good phone for average use and I still have it, but it was so slow. I was using it for business and personal use - so that could have been a problem. It could no longer keep up. So now it's business only. But, this One Action is great. I'm enjoying the new features that come with Android 10 and the additional storage space, speed, and camera. Motorola has the best phones out there for the lowest prices. I say this as someone who has owned Samsung, HTC, and some other smartphones from back in the day. They don't cut it. Motorola doesn't have all that bloatware on there. The features they add are actually useful. And again, the price. If you're thinking of getting a new Motorola phone, instead of spending a significant amount of your income on a phone, then get it. You won't regret it.

I got this phone on sale and unlocked. It comes with lots of storage (128gb) and a good amount of RAM (4gb). There is an SD card slot for added memory. Front and rear cameras are 12 mp. For a moderately priced phone, these are good specs. The phone is quick when searching the internet and running apps. I don't use it for gaming so don't know how it would run for apps that consume a lot of memory. The screen display is clear and bright. The camera works well some AI settings for optimization based on what type of picture you are taking. Overall, this is a good option if you don't want to break the bank on a phone.

I am not particularly a fan of motorola, but this phone is a big hit! I have had it for over a month, and I couldn't be happier. Don't believe the negative reviews. This phone is fast, has plenty of storage, has a great camera, and is easy to hold. It hasn't frozen on me once. The HD display is extremely clear as well. Battery life is good, but it could be a little better. Still, this phone is packed with features. The speaker is much louder than any phone I have had previously, and it sounds really good. Buy this phone, you won't be sorry!

Bought this phone for my parents and it is a good budget phone, that offers more than average features. Will my parents ever use most of them? No. However, it is good to know that this phone has the power and speed that is just right for my parents. The camera is really good for being a 'budget' phone and offers high-end lens technology. The internal storage is a plus and the fact that you can add additional storage (via microSD) is even better. More storage for all those grandchildren pictures. Build quality is also nice, however with any phone, no matter what tier, a phone case and screen protector is always a good idea. If you are looking for a 'budget' phone that offers above average features without the expense of performance, the Moto One Action is a great choice.

Solid phone for the price point with no major complaints. I don't use it for gaming or anything similarly demanding, although I am guilty of opening quite a few tabs on its Chrome browser all at once and it handles that like a champ, as well as cycling between numerous apps. Camera is great - although I'm not much of a photographer, I've never been disappointed with picture or video quality. Battery life was good initially but has degraded significantly after only 15 months, and it has had some wonky moments (although to be fair I have dropped it on more than one occasion and it has held up very well - no cracks or dents). If the performance and battery life hadn't degraded so seriously in less than one and a half years, it would get 5 stars from me hands down.
