I bought this phone during Best Buy's President's sale. I researched all that I could about the phone and decided it was for me. I love the big screen, the clear and bright look. It's fast and pages load quickly. The only issues I have is that it doesn't have a fingerprint sensor and the battery doesn't last as long as I would like it too. But I can live with that.

I started out with the first gen Moto X and was sad when it broke. After looking at other phones to replace it I decided to go with the Moto X pure edition. What a great phone and the price for an unlocked phone is very affordable compared to the carrier locked phones that cost around 6 or 700 dollars. This phone is faster and just as easy to use as the original. I definitely recommend this phone as an upgrade. Unfortunately I wasn't able to build my own on the Moto maker site but after thinking about it I keep mine in an otter box since I'm pretty hard on phones so customizing it would have probably been a waste.

I bought this phone as an upgrade from a moto x 2014. Long story short, this phone is just too large for me. The screen is fantastic, the software is very familiar, and the expendable storage is a plus, but it wasn't enough for me to keep this phone. If you like larger phones you can't go wrong. I personally prefer cell phones that are more compact.

Not a better phone on the market for thia price. Amazing qhd screen, just enough horsepower to run everything without a hitch, and despite the smallish battery the speed of the battery charge allows for a full day of heavy use without interruption. Unlocked and will easily take a cuatom ROM if you want. No bloatware and the minimal skin makes you feel like you're using a Nexus phone. Highly recommended.

We bought this cell phone for our middle-school student as an upgrade from a previous Motorola phone. He loves it. The size is perfect for ease of use, the photos taken with the camera have awesome clarity, and the processor responds lightening fast to every touch. We'd definitely recommend this phone as a much more reasonably priced alternative to cell phones made by other manufacturers.

bought this phone to replace my note 7. For $269 I'm getting everything the note 7 had with the exception of samsung pay for a fraction of the price. Its a little thick for my liking but I'm enjoying the big screen and front facing speakers. I love that its very close to stock android and i didn't have to spend my first 20 minutes removing bloatware. I would recommend this phone.

This phone was exactly what i was looking for. It can handle apps like a champ and the turbo charge feature makes recharging quick and convenient. The camera is great and it's awesome for watching videos on. Plus it's unlocked, and isn't weighed down with apps you can't uninstall. I was a die hard Samsung fan before this phone and don't see myself going back after this.

The Moto X Pure Unlocked phone is the best phone available for the money. It does everything I need, and the fact that it is unlocked is a bonus for overseas travel. I wish it had a removable battery, but the battery life is quite good, so I won't knock it down a star. I watched the price on a few approved sites and ended up getting a $100 price match adjustment. Be sure to do that, and it makes it even a better deal! I would highly recommend this phone.

I'm very satisfied with my phone. It has a good amount of storage (32G) and the quality of pictures and video is awesome. Front view camera has flash and those pictures come out just as good if not better than the rear facing camera. It's also easy to navigate through. The battery life lasts all day.

I really love this phone. It's fast and has some really neat features that other phones don't have like using motions to turn on the camera and flashlight. It also will detect if you're driving and then offer to read your texts to you and allow you to dictate a response. I just wish it had a bigger battery. It might be plenty for the average user, but I'm a heavy user and I have it out and on almost all day long so I don't get a full days use on 1 charge. However, the silver lining is the quick charger. It charges way faster than any other phone I've had (even ones with quick chargers)

If your looking for a phone that can keep up with your multitasking needs and is very suitable for researching and taking notes for class. The phone also offers a turbo charger with it that surprisingly charges it fast and the battery last for quite a long time. I had it at a full charge at 8am and it went down to 45℅ at 11pm at night when I got off work. That's with me using it often. Great sound as well in calls and the camera is not to bad at all. Still have it and hopefully going to have it for many more months to come. I highly recommend this phone.

Although a 2015 Android 6, this phone does everything right with no bloatware. Moto's interface is still just as sweet as stock Google/Chrome/Pixel, but at now less than half the price of Pixel. MotoZ is also an awesome machine, but if you want terrific power, a 5.7 screen, a super 21mp camera, and pure unlocked Android performance, this is hard to beat!

This device purchase was a labor of a couple of days. It was between the Nexus 5X or 6P, the new GS7's, or this device. My top reasons for ending up with the Moto X is that 1) I Do Not have a true need for a Fingerprint Scanner, 2) it has Water Resistance and Turbo Charging, 3) Marshmallow, 4) EXPANDABLE MEMORY, and 5) Unlocked and very affordable without sacrificing these above mentioned key factors. The quality of the build is pretty high end, I enjoy the slightly curving form-factor, the speakers can get loud and have great quality, and all-day battery life...based on my mid-to-heavy use. Hope this helps someone in need of an opinion ;D

If you don't need a lot of extra features on your phone, well this one will be the one you'll need. Does not come with bloatware. Has a 20 mp camera which is good. I didn't give it an excellent review because I haven't seen a phone yet that qualifies. For everyday use, this is a good one.

Excellent phone. This phone has all the bells and whistles of an Apple or Samsung without the price tag or contract renewal. Fast response. Excellent camera. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. P.S. works with Verizon despite what they tell you. It was originally designed as a GSM phone, but since it is unlocked works great on CDMA networks.

I bought this phone because of its minimalist appeal. I can remove most unwanted apps and add in what I wanted. The camera is only okay and could definitely use some updates in its user friendliness, focusing abilities, and options. The Moto Voice is a joke because it will react to just about everything causing google to chime in when least expected or desired. The positives about this phone are again, the minimalist appeal, and the speakers... the speakers on this phone are so amazing that I don't have to use external speakers at all when I want to listen to music whilst cleaning my apartment or while giving massages.

    Excellent Phone For The Money

I purchased this phone in early December, 2016 as a replacement for a Moto X 2nd Gen I dropped and cracked the screen. Technically, it is a 1 year old phone introduced in 2015, but still is being sold as a new model. It is very similar to the Moto X 2nd Gen, but with a larger 5.7" screen. That is both a plus for readability, and a minus for finding a belt pouch; it is very difficult to find one large enough. The Moto X Pure comes standard with Android 6.0 Marshmallow; I have read it is scheduled for an upgrade to Android 6.0 Nougat but as of December 30, 2016 I have not received it. The Pure Edition has a Micro SD card slot on the SIM card carrier that the X 2nd Gen did not have. Starting with Android 6.0, any external memory can either be formatted as a part of the phone's operating system, or as a DOS readable card. The extended memory option solves problems I have had in the past of installing apps on a phone with limited memory. Overall, this is an excellent phone - totally unlocked and ready to go on any carrier network. I am using Cricket on the AT&T network with no issues. The SIM swapped out with zero problems.

Move from Samsung as it got ridiculous with their prices, Motorola got it right with this phone, I can do a lot and get to keep my plan without being charge extra or change my plan with sprint, works on both gsm and cdma with is great when I travel abroad, camera is excellent and the speakers are loud, love this phone.

Really good phone. Good camera. Great battery life and fully charges in approx. 2 hrs. Light weight. Beautiful display (colors and screen size). Not a lot of pre-loaded junk apps that I wouldn't use anyways. I am mainly a phone and test guy. Don't use the phone for much more although I have the Kindle app and several other reading apps installed. Excellent storage (32gb). Speakers on front (could be louder but not a problem). Cons: The phone mixes Favorites with Recents calls. I like them separated. When deleting Call History, must clear all, can't individually delete and leave the one(s) you want to remain in the history. I don't like the selection of Ring and Notification Tones but they are okay. Not a reason to not like the phone. Overall, I would buy again, Only gave 4 stars because the Cons listed above were important to me. May not be for someone else. Otherwise, 5 stars.
