What an Android smartphone should be!

Motorola has always improved the Android OS experience with their exclusive software add-ons such as twist for camera or chop twice for flashlight. The near-stock Android 6.0 OS operates smoothly with 3GB of RAM and no bloatware, the 4K resolution display and front-facing speakers make for an entertaining media experience. The only downside or complain I have is the IPS (not AMOLED) display and the lack of water resistance. In summary, near-flagship performance for a mid-range price, you definitely receive a bang for your buck with this phone.

This is an excellent phone. This is my second phone that I bought from Best buy. I like the Fast charging. With the first phone i had issues with the charger and I got it replaced. But for the second phone i didn't have any problems. The phone is fast. It has plenty of storage along with additional storage capacity. It rarely overheats but if I do a restart everything gets back to normal. Overall this is a very good phone.

I purchased this phone on sale for $250 and I am very happy with my purchase. The phone has a nice bright display. It's a large screen but it doesn't feel too big. The battery life is good, enough to last the whole day. The quick charging is also a great feature. The camera quality is more than adequate for a camera phone. Without zooming in too much, you can really get good quality pictures. The phone also has two sets of speakers in front which is a feature rarely seen in phones, especially for this price. The phone does tend to get hot when in use which is one drawback. Overall, I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone looking to get a quality phone and doesn't want to spend a fortune on a flagship apple or samsung phone

I bought this phone because of the price and the great reviews it received. Not as good as my Samsung Galaxy S7 but it not bad for the price. It has a clean version of Android which is cool. It's comes with 32gb of storage but you can add SD card for extra storage if needed. The screen quality is great. It doesn't take the best pictures. It's not a bad phone. I would definitely buy another Moto phone in thr future.

The processor speed is much better than my old samsung express 1437. The display is a lot bigger and the pictures are Great. I did a lot of research and finally chose this phone...glad I did Im still learning how to use it..The price was great compared to all the other stores I priced it at. In my research the battery was the only slight flaw I had with it, but I am not a heavy user and it lasts 2 or 3 days for me.

While I may have had some other phones of preference, the price of $250 was too good to pass up. Having owned this phone for more than one month, because my SIM card slot failed on my Moto X Pure 2014 (2nd version), I feel as if I can give an honest review for this phone. When purchasing this, I had preference for other phones because this phone does not allow for WiFi calling. Additionally, I prefer the displays more so in many other flagship phones, and I also prefer a smaller sized phone. With that said, this is the best phone that I've owned to date--with all my earlier phones being flagship models from either Samsung, HTC, and Motorola. This phone is fast, and has only crashed on me a couple of times, but I blame that on the application, rather than the phone. The camera is an improvement over the earlier Motos, but it still doesn't have the quality of camera found in a Samsung; however, low light may be comparable. Besides the price point, my draw to this phone is it can be used on all networks in USA, being that it is unlocked for CDMA and GSM, with nearly all the LTE radios available, which are currently being used in the States. Because of such, this will be a great phone to keep as a backup, should I ever want to switch networks someday. Besides this, my other draw is that it is almost pure Android. I like to use Nova launcher, and other third party apps for keyboards, security, etc., so additional software added by a phone manufacturer, such as TouchWiz by Samsung, is nothing more than bloatware, bogging the phone down. To conclude, if one can deal with a large phone, then one really can't find a new phone better than this for $250. I have heard that support is horrible for Moto, and perhaps this has to do with Lenovo taking them over. I've never tried to deal with them, so I can't comment on this.

No problems using as cell phone. Works very well as a phone via bluetooth and Ford Sync in my car. Sharp, clear good color display. Takes very good pictures. Like the way Micro SD is integrated with on board memory. 3d party app tells me it is running warm but never has been a problem. Battery life is ok but not terriffic -- charges fast though. It's big, a bit hefty but not monstrous. IMHO one of the best cell phones you can buy in the $300 price range.

Unlocked phone, I use with tracphone Verizon $15 ( I use WI a lot no need for expensive service) but able to With other carriors. Feature rich great pictures, can use as mobile hotspot with IPad or USB to non WiFi computer to get updates, needed for tax software or program files. Can add up to 128GB sd card that can be used as internal or external. Format before use otherwise you will not be able to back up on computer.

I bought this phone during Best Buy's President's sale. I researched all that I could about the phone and decided it was for me. I love the big screen, the clear and bright look. It's fast and pages load quickly. The only issues I have is that it doesn't have a fingerprint sensor and the battery doesn't last as long as I would like it too. But I can live with that.

I started out with the first gen Moto X and was sad when it broke. After looking at other phones to replace it I decided to go with the Moto X pure edition. What a great phone and the price for an unlocked phone is very affordable compared to the carrier locked phones that cost around 6 or 700 dollars. This phone is faster and just as easy to use as the original. I definitely recommend this phone as an upgrade. Unfortunately I wasn't able to build my own on the Moto maker site but after thinking about it I keep mine in an otter box since I'm pretty hard on phones so customizing it would have probably been a waste.

I bought this phone as an upgrade from a moto x 2014. Long story short, this phone is just too large for me. The screen is fantastic, the software is very familiar, and the expendable storage is a plus, but it wasn't enough for me to keep this phone. If you like larger phones you can't go wrong. I personally prefer cell phones that are more compact.

This unlocked version is great. No provider apps or 3rd party apps. Pure Google withe some very nice Moto enhancements. Size is big, but done right to fit the hand properly. Hoping they get it on the Project Fi program. Love it

Not a better phone on the market for thia price. Amazing qhd screen, just enough horsepower to run everything without a hitch, and despite the smallish battery the speed of the battery charge allows for a full day of heavy use without interruption. Unlocked and will easily take a cuatom ROM if you want. No bloatware and the minimal skin makes you feel like you're using a Nexus phone. Highly recommended.

We bought this cell phone for our middle-school student as an upgrade from a previous Motorola phone. He loves it. The size is perfect for ease of use, the photos taken with the camera have awesome clarity, and the processor responds lightening fast to every touch. We'd definitely recommend this phone as a much more reasonably priced alternative to cell phones made by other manufacturers.

bought this phone to replace my note 7. For $269 I'm getting everything the note 7 had with the exception of samsung pay for a fraction of the price. Its a little thick for my liking but I'm enjoying the big screen and front facing speakers. I love that its very close to stock android and i didn't have to spend my first 20 minutes removing bloatware. I would recommend this phone.

This phone was exactly what i was looking for. It can handle apps like a champ and the turbo charge feature makes recharging quick and convenient. The camera is great and it's awesome for watching videos on. Plus it's unlocked, and isn't weighed down with apps you can't uninstall. I was a die hard Samsung fan before this phone and don't see myself going back after this.

Up until about two years ago I always purchased Motorola cell phones because of the ruggedness and reliability. Then I switched to a Samsung smart phone. The Motorola MOTO X Pure phone was purchased as a trial to review its features against a Samsung Note 5. The Motorola performed well but some of the internal apps such as the processing of the contact list and message displays just did not seem intuitive enough, so I stayed with the Samsung.

The Moto X Pure Unlocked phone is the best phone available for the money. It does everything I need, and the fact that it is unlocked is a bonus for overseas travel. I wish it had a removable battery, but the battery life is quite good, so I won't knock it down a star. I watched the price on a few approved sites and ended up getting a $100 price match adjustment. Be sure to do that, and it makes it even a better deal! I would highly recommend this phone.
