Bought this phone after looking at the reviews and having Motorola and Samsung phones over the past 5 years. Price was the key factor and features were 2nd. The battery life has surpassed expectations, have purchased the speaker mod(JBL) and am impressed. Longtime Android user, love the phone with just some minor exceptions after Samsung user on last 3 phones.

After trying to justify the cost of a Note 9 or switching to an iPhone, I got a great deal on an open box phone. The camera is great and I have added extra storage with a mini or micro SD card. It operates faster than these thumbs do. My daughter has the Z2play and it has held up well for the past two years. I've really enjoyed the upgrade from my Galaxy S5 at less than half the cost of a new Samsung.

If you don't need or want every bell and whistle a phone could have this is the phone for you. It's fast and does all the things you need really well. I have the unlocked version and it will work with any carrier. So far I have used it with Verizon and AT&T with excellent results. No need to spend 700-1000 dollars for a phone. This one was 400 (no contract) and included a Moto Mods battery pack.

Bought this phone for my husband at the end of September. It seemed fine for about 2 weeks. Then, it started turning itself off, randomly, even when fully charged. My husband checked online and tried whatever fixes were suggested. After several more days, the phone died and couldn't be turned back on. Nice phone, though. Best Buy replaced the phone and set it up for us. It's exactly what my husband needs. Reasonably sophisticated phone with a long battery like, takes decent photos, pretty easy to set up and use and durable. I'll write a full review after my husband uses his replacement for a few weeks. I expect to be able to recommend the phone. Pretty good deal for and Android phone with lots of features.

Upgraded from my original Moto Z Play after 2+ years, the battery was starting to fail. Price matched down to $399, comes with battery mod. Can use with any carrier. 64gb standard memory and can upgrade from there with MicroSD card. Excellent phone and great value. I HATE being tied to a carrier contract, Motorola solves this!!

Very nice break from Samsung Galaxy line. I've had a Galaxy every year since the 5 and it really got old spending 1000$ a year for the same phone's. This phone works great, battery life last me 2+ days with the battery mod that comes with it, and service speeds on net for verizion stay above 50mbps at all times.

Bought this phone a year ago to replace an iPhone 7 and I think it was an excellent path to get out from under Apple. The processor is plenty fast for light casual gaming, the display is really quite nice, and the phone is still fast and very responsive. Battery life is fantastic. I have never actually run the battery dead yet. Having NFC at this price point is a big plus for me and it works as well or better than my iPhone did. Google Assistant is far superior to Siri in my opinion, and being able to Bluetooth with my car eliminated the need for any car-based software for hands-free calling or streaming audio. The phone is slim and beautiful. The moto-actions are so useful! The camera... is not great. Photos are not as sharp as they should be and the colors look weird sometimes. Frankly, my iPhone 4S had a better camera. I wanted to take one star away but the rest of the phone is so great I couldn't do it.

Liked my previous Zplay till my battery started to go. This phone came with a battery mod which is pretty cool. Has pretty cool features that my old one didn't have. Only negative so far is that there is no headphone jack, you have to use an adapter that plugs into the charging port

The Moto Z3 play is a great phone with super easy set up. My wife loves it and is learning more what it can do daily. It is sleek and beautiful. She bought a wallet for it to fit in and it works great without over heating. She is figuring out which Moto Mods she wants. It came with the battery pack Moto Mod and it keeps a full charge for a long time. This is a great buy. She loves it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who just doesn't want to buy another iphone or Samsung.

I love the phone it is way better than any iPhone or S phone I have ever had my hands on. I was surprised even more when I opened it and found that it came with a battery back. Now I have two and it is fantastic. This phone has made my life easier. The mods are amazing.

I bought this phone few weeks back and I am loving it. It has a very good camera and pictures clicked through it looks amazing. Extra battery mod is really a good thing. I am thinking to buy some additional moto mods for this as well.

If you don't have or want to spend $1000 for a Samsung or an iPhone, then the Moto z3 play is for you. At $300 you get all a Samsung can do. With the external battery that I've only used twice your phone will last all day into the next morning.

Bought the phone because of the battery mod which is great. Unfortunately there are no cases available that accommodate the mod. We dropped it on concrete w/in 30 days and cracked the screen. With no protection available we opted to replace it with a different brand.

I have been very impressed with the battery life of this phone. The Moto Mod battery pack is easy to use but it does mean that I have to remove my phone case. The camera is very good too. The zoom is especially impressive for a phone.

The reason we purchased this phone is because my husband is really interested in the mods that are available. He is really excited and likes the way the phone works so far. The phone is more affordable that other brands too.

I bought this phone on a hurry, but I totally recommend it, is a great near pure android experience without bloatware. Camera is good and the battery last a lot plus the moto mod gets you through the day with heavy use

I use this phone with Sprint and I've been very happy with it. With the included battery pack attached, I can go all day without charging my phone and I use it quite a bit over the course of a day. It was hard finding a case, because I wanted something to protect with the battery mod attached, found out it's called a "bumper" and I'll have one soon. Giving four stars because it is still a bit hard to find accessories.

It is a great phone easy to use nice size screen which is very clear charges quickly with the turbo charger takes very clear pictures I like it very much easy to transfer stuff from old phone to new one

Great phone. Price is very good. Comes with spare battery pack so can usually get 2 days between charges. Only downside is it doesn't have an unbreakable screen like my previous Droid phone

Awesome and beautiful this powerful phone does and is everything! I have the Battery mod, and the Projection mod, I'm going to get the speaker mod next. This phone is revolutionary. It doesn't even have an earphone jack! It's totally Wireless. And I love it! The turbo charger is really Turbo. Using my Battery mod, I go the whole weekend on One charge. And the Projection mod is better than I ever dreamed. I'm so happy! Thank you Motorola, this has been the Best Buy I ever made. Tina
