3 in one Motorola Unit, router, modem, extender
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent unit however, the range seems to start losing reception at about 30 feet distance. It may be because i’ve had all of my interior walls indulated for sound deadening purposes though

Better than internet provider monthly fees
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does make a slight difference with internet speeds and access throughout the house. If nothing else it’s already paid for itself compared to paying a monthly rental fee from internet provider

Fairly good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fair performance. This modem has been disconnected twice after installed for 30 mins to 90 mins each time. Not so bad but hopefully it won't happen again. Nevertheless we reply on cable modem quite much during this "work-from-home","learning-from-home","stay-at-home" certain period of time

Band Steering issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The modem worked fine once I corrected the band steering issue. Factory default was supposed to be disabled, but was found to be enabled. This caused all my wireless components to disconnect every 25-27 min. and reload. I filed a report with Motorola regarding this and they were going to look into it.

It's a Motorola. It's got to be good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Works very well. Has two antennas. Is completely compatible with the Comcast Xfinity service. Is going to save modem/router charges every month, and will pay for itself within a year. Had to call Comcast to finish the setup, but they were very glad to assist. They neglected to add the phone line to the setup, and we found we were without a phone for a few hours. however, they rectified the problem once we called.

Works well and a great price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this new at clearance price. Great deal. I haven't had it long, but working well so far. Give it 5 stars if it keeps performing as it has. Did have to end up calling Xfinity to get it up and going, then again to get phone portion working after the number was finally ported.

Great replacement for Comcast rental fees
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tired of paying the monthly modem fee and saw this model at a Best Buy store. After reading reviews that night, I went back and purchased this one. After reading the instructions I hooked the modem up. Once it was online and you enter your temp password, I was connected to the Xfinity website. Entered my email and password and it accepted my new modem. I called Comcast anyway and they said it was the new modem. Unfortunately I have Xfinity home security and it doesn’t work. Tried calling Motorola but they couldn’t help. Ended up calling Xfinity and they had to come to the house and install a router that will communicate with my security touchscreen. If you have home security from Comcast, schedule an appointment for the afternoon and hook the modem up in the morning. Hooking the modem up and registering with Comcast takes less than 1 hour and I’m not techie

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted this one for my Xfinity service in Washington DC. This connected like a breeze and this is a beast for a small apartment. Anyone can set this up easily, works flawlessly. No complaints so far and that too from my wife - has to be good, right?

Very Happy with Motorola Modem/Router
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MY Motorola modem/router stopped working after a storm knocked it out. Happy with the performance of my older Motorola modem/router, I bought a new Motorola modem/router. For some reason, one of my six Fire sticks kept loading slowly and inconsistently. I was convinced this problem was a weak signal from the modem/router. I then switched out the Fire Stick with a new one and realized it was the Fire Stick and not the Modem/Router causing the problem. My home is 5,000 square feet with three stories and a basement. The new modem/router is providing fast internet throughout the whole house.

Great Modem+Router, But Comcast help is hellish.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router is wonderfull. Dealing with Comcast to get it set up and running is a pain. Took many hours of chats, reboots, etc to complete an upgrade to faster speed and add home phone to my Comcast contract. Not sure, but think I finally found the problem myself. You have to do some of the setup from your cell phone. when I did that, I forgot to the app on my cell phone. When I tried to complete the upgrade from an email apparantly the open app on my cell phone caused the upgrade to fail. After closing the app on my cell phone the upgrade completed successfully. My old router was only good for 75 mhz downloads. Now operating at 400 mhz. Since 90% of what I do with my computer is web related, It was better than getting a new computer. With much cheaper Home Phone service from Comcast, the MT7711 should pay for itself in about 6 months.
