Perfect Cable Modem for small networks

We chose it for the compatibility and because it had 4 ports built in which we still need for some devices like our security camera hub, cloud drive, etc. During the setup, we found that the wireless only broadcasts at the slower 2.4ghz band, which was a dealbreaker for us and we had to return it for a different model.

Not Fast Enough

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told by my security system installer that this modem/router would provide plenty of speed for my household use and new security cameras. Also, I confirmed on the Xfinity site that this was a compatible modem for my plan. We run a laptop, a desktop, and 3 cell phones in addition to the camera system. After a few months, we noticed our download speeds were less than 10 mbps. Our Xfinity plan is for 150 mbps. I called Xfinity, and they did troubleshooting over the phone and said a technician would have to come out to figure out the problem. When he arrived, he said the signal to the modem is fine and that this modem is the problem. He said we need at least a 24X8 modem, AC rather than N Router, and preferably DOCSIS 3.1. Will see if I can exchange this one for a more powerful one.
