Replaced failing WOW ISP rental modem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The modem I was given as a rental when I signed up with WOW ISP a few years ago started dropping connection every hour on the hour, very annoying. Decided to buy a decent modem instead of renting another one. Replaced the malfunctioning modem with this Motorola N450 modem and the hourly disconnect problem is gone. Internet service has been 100% solid and lighting fast since installing this modem. Easy set up and Motorola quality. Ditch the rental modem and buy one of these for hassle free internet.

It set itself up with very little assistance need from me. Since March 2020 it's done remarkably well as my WFH modem (via Ethernet, of course) as well as my personal modem/router for all my Internet-dependent devices, both wired and wireless. I do have to reset it occasionally, maybe once every three weeks; no huge issue there. Overall, highly recommended here!

Specifications are Incorrect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Motorola MG7315 N450 because I no longer wanted to rent a modem and router through Comcast. This is advertised under specifications as having a Wireless Standard Frequency Band of 5.0 GHz. Both Amazon and Best Buy list this as a specification for frequency band. After setting up my wireless access, I was disappointed to see it has the standard 2.4 GHz and no 5.0 GHz option. After much troubleshooting, researching, and reading the manual I discovered the MG7315 model does not use the frequency band 5.0 GHz and only uses the 2.4 GHz frequency. Not a great product

Power cable sparked!

The power cable sparked randomly and destroyed the modem not long after. Best Buy and Motorola were useless. Disappointed and would not recommend.
