I bought this modem/router to keep from having to pay a rental fee to the cable company. It has done the work very well. Easy to set up and the speed is fast. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Seemed to work fine for a few days. The Xfinity supplied Motorola modem/router had kept rebooting several times a day, and that is what iinitiated purchasing my own modem. After about five days with the N450 modem, my computers/printers/tablets though connected to the modem (wireless and hard wired) would not stay connected to the internet. Xfinity sent a tech to check the lines, and all was well, with very minimal noise. They replaced a splitter at the road, and said everything was fine, and easily within the norms. The N450 had numerous update errors with Xfinity. DOCSIS 3.0 relies on Motorola supplying updates to Xfinity, and Xfinity forwarding the updates directly to the modem. Apparently Xfinity was sending the updates, but after the modem received the updates, it was unable to find the update so it could not update itself. This happened 5-8 times per day. As far as I know, Xfinity may have been sending the wrong modem updates, but this is something the end user has no control over, and most of the tech people you will talk to at Xfinity have no idea that Xfinity is the one that updates the modems. I returned this modem/router and purchased a NetGear AC1750, and aside from the speed increase, the uptime dependability has increased exponentially. The NetGear has had NO downtime as of yet.. I am giving the Motorola N450 two stars, only for the ease of being able to return it to Best Buy. The entire return process took about two minutes. Without the Best Buy return experience, I would have given the N450 a ZERO star rating on its performance if possible.

Haven't noticed any slow downs even with multiple devices online. Only had it for three weeks but so far it has worked great. Very easy to install and connect.

Excellent router. Consistent, reliable and never loses a signal. Easy to setup. I returned my att router and I’m saving a ton of money. Highly recommend.

Needed a modern/router to replace a malfunctioning Spectrum supplied modem. This one is relatively cheap, was easy to set up, and carries a good signal throughout a small house.

Great wouldn’t have purchased this anywhere else but at best buy

This Motorola router works really good. It is better than what I would have gotten from the cable/internet service. It was priced better than some of the other brands of router/modem combos.

I've only had this router for a couple of weeks but its great. My speeds are faster than the Xfinty router I was renting and it is more powerful, my signal is stronger.

Since I recently moved and had to switch cable companies, I needed a new modem/router with coax hook up capability. I was able to flag down one of the Best Buy staff who said this one should serve my needs. It is working fine with 3 TVs, 2 smart phones and a laptop, all with good Wi-Fi signal.

very good and works very well. i was afraid that i have to buy an expensive modem but the price was very good and it did work very well

Easy setup, perfect size. Wi-Fi range strong enough.

Very compatible with Spectrum/Time Warner internet.

This was the only modem I could find that had 4 ports, and was able to pick it up in the store. Works great, especially helpful if you're someone that works from home with a VOIP phone.
