Customers highly appreciate the large screen size, excellent camera, and fast performance of the Nexus 6. They also value the pure Android experience and the affordable price point. The unlocked nature of the phone is seen as a positive feature. However, some users find the phone to be too large and a few have mentioned that it can get quite hot.

Great Phone!

This is currently the only unlocked Android phone that will work on all the networks. I feel so free! I have followed the news about this phone since it's introduction when I was instantly drawn to it. After finally purchasing it I have to say I am not in the least disappointed.
The Screen is beautiful and big. This is the size I have wanted since the days of the Original Motorola Droid. At 5.9" it's not for everyone. My hands are pretty big so I can one-hand it most of the time. I don't always have to put on my reading glasses to read texts and emails either. It's also great for looking at the pictures and videos on Facebook. I can see my grandchildren.
The camera takes great pictures. I picked up the phone before going to Disneyland. I was able to take action shots, selfies and some night shots of the Castle. Great memories.
One other bonus for me is this phone is a Google Nexus. It gets all the latest updates for Android. I like having the current OS without waiting for the Carrier to mess around with it. And I have none of the Carrier bloatware so I have more room on the phone for what I want to install. It's the plain vanilla Android experience. That just means I get to decide how I want the phone to look. Great Product.

Tell you what, even if its a huge huge phone, it fits in hand perfectly, only people with small hands will have trouble using it, if that's what stopping you from buying this phone. It has very stylus design, feels premium in hand, than that ugly s6. Performance is also very fast optimized and swift flowing, best phone out there for gaming since its got its extraordinary size and screen quality. Camera is also great , dunno why people are complaining about this phone, but yes it takes some time focusing only when shooting vedio, and that's only con I have seen so far in this phone. Since its price has dropped now, its far far more better than other phone like g4, m9, s6 and 6 plus out there.

Going along with the video-friendly 16:9 screen are front-facing speakers that project movie, game and music sound to me instead of away from me. What a concept!
The specs top almost all previous smartphone benchmarks thanks to the Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon chip and 3GB of RAM. An extra-large battery has kept me running for more than a day.
The 13-megapixel camera is more true-to-life than 2013's Nexus 5 and Motorola's other smartphones combined, even if it doesn't quite measure up what Samsung's doing.

If you want the best - cutting edge software from Google, superb performance, all day battery life, a stunning display, a fantastic camera, front facing stereo speakers, and support for every mobile radio band you can think of - then go with the Nexus 6.
Yes, it's big. That takes about a day to get used to, and when you do get used to it, you start loving it. You can do major reading on it, watch videos with detail and quality that will stun you, or even do a lot of composing and writing.
Voice recognition is perfect, and Google has worked at it for a long time. The transition from the Nexus 5 to Nexus 6 in terms of voice recognition is only an incremental improvement, but it's a feature you will fall in love with if you are used to dealing with Siri or S-Voice.
The Nexus 6 is a speedy beast. Performance is buttery smooth no matter what you throw at it. The camera is great, and in HDR mode, it captures better photos than even the iPhone 6.
So don't be afraid of the size. Give this phone a try and I guarantee you will fall in love.

Met my expectations. Fast, easy to use. Able to adapt to the large size phone readily. Takes excellent pictures. Loads of applications to customize the phone. Just wished I had waited a month as the price dropped $150. Current price is a best buy among the top smartphones.

4.5 Stars.
I got this as a replacement for my wife whose LG G2 developed a crack. I bought this when it was 350$ and BBuy gave a special 10% online off coupon. By a stroke of luck, when I went to purchase from the retail store based on availability, they had sold the last one and hence returned empty handed. So I went home and wanted to buy online and pickup in store and found the 10% off next online purchase waiting for me. So I purchased it online for pickup in store next day. With my GCs, I finally paid only 180$ after taxes. A pre-used LG G2 from my local TMo store was 190$ before taxes.
Likes:
Nice QHD screen for video watching/reading.
Getting updates from Google directly
Loud stereo speakers.
Smooth & slick
Price right now. With Nexus 5P and 6P being released you get good deals. New ones in eBay are 300$
Irritants
Too big for some. Esp the width not height. G2 was the perfect phone size for my wife.
Found Google launcher less intuitive than expected. I downloaded Nova launcher and it made it better (like font size mods).
Should have taken inspiration from LG UX or Samsung TW to have some form of multi-window.

Never thought I'd want a "phablet," and even though I wasn't due to upgrade my phone until mid-2016, I snagged the 2014 Nexus 6 at its bargain basement pricing just prior to the introduction of the 2015 Nexus phone models. The 2014 Nexus 6 is the *FINEST* phone I've ever owned...excellent AMOLED screen, snappy performance, and with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) installed, OUTSTANDING battery life. Make no mistake, this is a LARGE phone -- but if that doesn't scare you off, this phone WILL remain relevant for at least another 1-2 years, so don't hesitate to try it.

I didn't think they could improve on the nexus 5 but they did. Camera is much improved screen and adaptive display are all nice. Dual front facing speakers. Phone will work on all 4 major carriers without doing anything special. The only con is physical size of phone, just a little on the big side.

Very nice phone. It is a BIG PHONE with the width of it the most cumbersome part of carrying it. I have fairly large hands and I cannot comfortably use it with one hand. The camera is pretty good but as good as some of the competition. The best thing about the phone is receiving prompt OS updates directly from Google. Right now, the price is a steal for what you get in performance. I really like the front facing speakers and it would be difficult to go back to a phone without them. Excellent reception using this phone. I'm using it on ATT and have had zero dropped calls or data issues.

The Nexus 6 is very fast and has a good battery. It's not to big for someone with normal sized hands. I would definitely recommend buying this phone if you want the stock android experience.

The unlocked Nexus 6 from Motorola packs Android 5 and is a great refresh from the bloated carrier editions of Android phones. It is fast and responsive with a decent batter life and a solid look and feel. We ordered this phone during one of BestBuy's online specials and are not at all disappointed that we did; considering how much we spend on laptops and tablets, one should expect that a feature rich top end phone will cost a bit. And when used on the T-Mobile network in Chicago, we see 10Mbps speeds on HSPA and great call quality without paying phone subsidies monthly. This is a great phone for any road warriors toolkit and a great media device as well.

This is by far the top PURE android phone on the market today. The specs, the built, the screen, everything is perfect about this phone. It's capabilities are endless, it's UI is all 100% google. There is zero bloat. Being googles flagship device updates are always around the corner. Battery life is perfect, lasting 1.3 days on heavy / moderate use. The rapid charger provided is amazing, charges the phones in 30 to 45 minutes, completely.

I am big fan of Nexus phones and Nexus 6 just took it to next level with this new phone. It has a real nice design, a big screen, better camera, great display resolution, new android version on top of it. I really loved it.
With the reduced price, it is just an un-avoidable deal that had to be grabbed.

I was a little bit worried about the screen size of nexus 6 but in few days I was just loving it! Easy to read, use GPS, etc. I thing I won't come back to smaller screens. It is fast, no bugs until now, pictures and videos are really great, easy to share media, etc. I just really like it!

Great phone for Google Fi

Let's be honest, all these phones are capable of doing A LOT of stuff but very few of us actually test the limits of what our phones are capable of. We need something that can make calls, send texts, take pictures and let us browse the internet. This phone does a GREAT job of all those things and probably does a whole heck of a lot more but I'll never find out because I'm like you and just don't use those features.
The best thing about this phone is that it's currently the only phone that works with Google Fi, a cellular service from Google that is costing me $30/month. Do yourself a favor and sign-up for the Project Fi wait list. Once you get approved do yourself two more favors: buy this phone and ditch your current phone provider. I'm saving over $50/month with a break-even point (between cost of service and price of phone) about 9 months down the line.
I don't work for Google, I just hate paying these big cellular providers so much dang money when I've got a better alternative. Ditch your provider, buy this phone, go Google.

This was a gift to my wife, who initially wanted a TAB but later settled for this. But she just loved this once I got this & is enjoying it now. Design of this phone is good ; as is always a plus point for Motorolla phones. Good big screen size, good camera, good sound. Battery backup is not bad but still not great I think. Initial pricing was really high though, bought this once prices were chopped by $150. Overall I like this phone.
