The first "Motor Storm" game was fun and had a lot of interesting features. Such as the capability to utilize high powered boosters on all the vehicles you race. Then the momentum of fun was halted by not allowing capability of multiplayer split screen game play. Why would any game presently being created in this day in age not allow a multiplayer option. Not only online, but split screen, especially a racing game? You could only play multiplayer online, and it was only made for playing one player per system at a time. "Motor Storm Pacific Rift," resolved all those issues for me and my friends. It is the perfect game for a room of 4 people (male/female) all racing head to head on one system, or racing online together (provided you have a reliable internet connection.) Packed with amazing Hi-Res graphics; realistic all type terrain and water landscaped courses. Including dirt/mud, desert, tropical beach, rain forest, and courses through snow. With detailed cars and rally cars, motorcycles or atvs, trucks or monster trucks and even 18 wheeler semi trucks. All traveling at speeds so high, and crashes so intense it's jaw dropping! Courses so intricate and realistic you can explore your own directional paths on or off the course's roads for hours and hours. It's one of the best rally cross racing games I've had fun playing in the last 10 years.

It's incredibly fun and not to difficult until you get around the very end. Theres over 50 races, all of which are different types from check point races, to eliminator, wreck limit, timed, to just your average, try to finish from 3rd-1st. The graphics are absolutely amazing, which makes the wrecks look even cooler! You unlock a new pack of vehicles every time you reach a milestone of races completed, which you can customize. Now, you cant make custom paint jobs and features on your vehicles, but you can pic your pain job and the model of that certain vehicle you want to drive. There is all sorts of different vehicles ranging from motorcycles to monster trucks. Overall, it's a great game that is highly recommended.

This game is easy to play/learn but still extremely challenging. It's certainly an approvement over it's predecessor in that it now has split screen multiplayer, monster trucks, and better tracks. I don't think I'd ever pay the original asking price of $60, but it's a good pick-up for $40 or less. The only real draw-back is the sound track. There's far too many techno/rave style songs. You can easily disable the tunes you don't like though from playing, which is a plus.

First off if you like a game with speed this is a good one for you becuse you can get going PRETTY fast.The graphics are prett y cool too .Its easy for you to pick a track and get you set up and going.I have a great time playing each time i put in the game.There are lots of obstacles that if you crash into them it will set you back pretty far.And it is pricey.I would definetly recomend this to a friend though.

Ill start off with the soundtrack, I particularly like drum and bass and this games soundtracks are all drum and bass and they don't repeat too often. The SFX are decent but pretty generic. The graphics are rediculoso. Lots and lots of different types of races. 4 different worlds Air Gap, Water World, Fire World, and Earth world with each world having at least 15 races in it. Not sure how many different cars there are but at least 15 as well. Bottom Line: MSPR is a great pick up and play game which offers fun for multiple players including online play or split screen. But as with most racing games they can get boring.

This game is really fun. the game looks unbelievable and the gameplay and controls are tight. all the tracks have multiple paths and you will need to learn all of them to compete later on in the game and especially online. Online is by far the best part of the game.

its a great game trust me but its not the longest game on the market.great graphics,cool cars and awesome race tracks.worth the 50 bones it good dont listen to the other people giving it one star

Best of the Motorstorm games. Excellent graphics. As other PS3 games, I complain that only one player can play when NOT online. If we have 4 controllers, then those four should control four different cars. Oh well, we'll see if sony changes that in the future. Otherwise I would recommend the game. Still, the best racing game for PS3 to me has been Burnout Paradise. You can use the logitech wheel with this game.

This is the first motor storm game I have played, but it is very fun and the graffics are great. There are numerous tracks and types of races to choose from. In the beginning it takes a little to get used to controling different vehicles on the tracks but once you do get the hang of the vehicle it definately makes for some good gameplay.

I have not played it much and the only true complaint that I have are the graphics of the vehicles especialy the tires. the look a little toyish to me. Over all I think it is a very good game but I don't think it improved greatly on number one. Perhaps I was expecting a little more. Don't get me wrong it is a hot game but it had alot to live up with motor storm 1. Don't get me wrong its not that it did not live up to MS1 I just was expecting it to do it with flying colors. I think its a great game but the toyish look of the cars kind of killed it for me a little but the game play is great and so are the selection of vehicles and this time they let you see the performance rating of the vehcles via a star rating system. This was what was lacking in MS1 and helps you to choose the right vehicle. Overall a very good addition to the motorstorm franchise just falls short of being a great one.

This game is by far the best racing game out there. Not only are the graphics the best but the gameplay is top notch and you can actually get the feeling of driving on the off road terrain. Plus the different courses are crazy. Go rent the game and see for yourself you will know exactly what im talking about.

I dont have the first motorstorm but i played the demo and it was insane, this 2 one looks so much more developed, better graphics etc. THIS GAME IS GONNA BE INSANE!

Liked this one so well that I bought the first one. Great two player game. Graphics great. Good challenge for a single player.

i hated this game, the addition of the monster trucks is cool, but this game is kinda lame in the way it plays, it is really difficult to get in front and stay in front to win, it also seems to be dependant on what vehicle you select. i didnt care for the game nor its prequel. there are no customization options to the vehicles outside of color/paint schemes. the graphics are great, but i dont like the gameplay at all. alot of people seem to like it, but i hated it. i do like racing games and i am great at them, but this one i didnt fair to well in for some reason which kinda takes away from the fun. not sure why i appearently couldnt play it yet every other reveiw is good. i do however love and recommend FUEL over this game, more vehicles, more land, cool graphics and weather effects. AWSOME GAME. purchase that instead of this game, its better.

Don't base your purchase solely on the demo ! They used an old build! Graphics are way better in the retail version. Best off-road arcade racing game! Beats Pure hands-down!.

I do love this game. It's better than the first MotorStorm in many ways. I recommend you get it. Having said that, I do want to complain about the computer players cheating later on in the game on the rank 8 tracks(highest difficulty). I was in the lead and took my shortcut and I was about a hundred yards from winning and all of a sudden a monster truck comes flying off of a jump and is going to land on me. I've seen them do this before so I moved way out of the way of where he was going to land on top of me, and yet he still managed to land squarely on top of me. Trust me, THEY CHEAT, but it's still a fun game.

A good arcade like racing game with terrific graphics & sound. Easy to learn and play for all skill levels. Have only played against the computer at easy & medium levels and it is an intense & fun experience. Many different tracks and vehicles to choose from. Does not get boring or repetitive as each race course has alternative routes. You can customize the race for morning midday or evening racing. The racing is exhilerating and fun fun fun. Should be an exciting multiplayer game when played online. As a stand alone game it is out standing.

Great all-around game, graphically and gameplay! Enjoyable whether you are playing alone, with a friend, or online in a multiplayer event.

One of the greatest racing games on the ps3. It is fun to play by yourself or with friends. The levels are unique and fun. Sometimes it is tough to pick which direction but after a while you get used to it

Great follow-up to a great series. I just haven't got the game because its too expansive.
