Out of the box and onto the counter this coffee maker went. I like the stainless steel look as it offers a great style and appeal. The coffee maker makes some good coffee as expected, and the coffee maker is easy to operate. You have the ability to make up to 12 cups of coffee in this pot which should be enough for the crew. This coffee maker offers a "rapid brew system" and it truly does make coffee faster than my outgoing coffee maker. I'm pleased with that so I can make my coffee in the mornings and be out the door without having to wake up earlier. I do like this coffee pot since I can pull it out and pour a cup of coffee while it's still making coffee. This is a very convenient feature to have. The coffee maker offers your everyday standard functions such as keeping warm, brewing later, regular or bold strength, and the clock timer. This comes with a scooper for your coffee grounds, a water filtration disc, and a basic coffee pot. You will need to purchase your own grounds basket or coffee filters because this doesn't come with either of those in the box. The Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Rapid Brew System - Stainless Steel looks good and makes good coffee. In the box you get the coffee maker, 12 cup glass carafe, coffee scoop, water filter, water filter holder and manual (see picture). As per the directions, clean the filter basket and carafe in warm soapy water. Run at least 1 full carafe of water through the coffee machine (I did 2 carafes full). Then you are ready to brew your first pot of coffee. I set the clock per the instructions. Set my brew later time. Place the paper coffee filter (buy separately) in the filter basket. Measure the coffee with the provided scoop and place in the filter. Put the water filter above the filter basket. Double click the brew button to activate the brew later. Or just press it once to brew now. Adjust the brew strength to normal or bold. This says it is 20% faster but I cannot compare it to another so I am not sure. It seems to take around the same amount of time as I would expect. It could possibly be a little faster. The coffee is really good! One huge advantage is the water filter. I think the best benefit is it spreads the water over the coffee really well (see picture). I have had other coffee machines and they drop the water in the center of the filter basket. Not all of the coffee is soaked in water sometimes. This coffee maker does an EXCELLENT job in this regard! They say the water filter is good for one month but I will see how long it lasts. The coffee temperature is around 164 degrees. I rate this coffee maker 5 out of 5 stars. The coffee is really good. The controls are easy to use. The water filter does an excellent job of dispersing the water over the coffee. I found 4 cups is about perfect to fill a contigo container.

My wife a few years ago decided that we were getting a single serving coffee maker, so we would not "waste" coffee... I have missed having a real coffee maker and I am glad I got this one. This has better flavor, I can use any coffee I want and saves money (you can brew as few as 4 cups with this one and not pay for the single serving packages). Pros - Reasonably fast and quiet. Just a low burbling sound while it is brewing and a gentle beep to let you know it is ready. - Brew strength selector works great (I love the strong setting) - You can remove the carafe to get a quick cup of coffee while it is still brewing (it doesn't stop brewing, but removing the carafe closes a valve, so you must put the carafe back within 30 seconds or so). - Built in timers to starting brewing and keep the coffee warm for 2 hours. - Includes a measuring scoop for coffee grounds with recommendations in even increments from 4-12 cups. - Includes a water filter that removes Chlorine and even a little selector to remind you to change it. - Built-in cord storage (we don't have a lot of room on our counter and not having the cord hanging around when we store this in the pantry is great). - Easy to move / light weight. - Clean design with smooth plastic sides and top. Real stainless-steel front panel and glass carafe. Makes it easy to wipe off and clean. - Buttons have a nice click, indicator LEDS are bright and everything is clearly labeled. Things to Consider - The hinges on the lid are plastic and the glass on the carafe is relatively thin - I have been using this daily since I got it and it still looks brand new, but care should be taken to avoid issues. I probably wouldn't use this in a busy office or other commercial setting. - While the front stainless and black plastic look great, the plastic sides have more texture and are a little lighter in color than the front plastic making it look cheaper (see my pictures). - Some steam comes out of the top around the edges of the lid especially near the end of the brewing cycle. I would not leave this tucked under an upper cabinet while in use (moisture) and avoid opening the lid right after it finishes so you don't get burned. This coffee maker is easy to use with useful features. The brew strength adjustment, water filter, and automatic brewing are just what I was looking for. I would highly recommend it.

For the price I would not buy this again. The clock display isn't even lit up. Pretty disappointed in it. Will never buy this brand again. My cheap coffee pot I had.

This is review of “Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Rapid Brew System - Stainless Steel”. For what is the machine and MSRP, it comes with basic but wish had more of functionality, and size wise compact compared to other brand. It has function to control of strengh for strong or weak tase of coffee, it is programmable, carafe is wash dish safe, has filtration as well. From taste stand, it is good for the kind of brewing system is. Tased with Starbuck medium roast, grinded at home. And this will depend on person and how do like the coffee, but as who drink strong and bold coffee, it felt bit light still desipite of having set Strong. Then it has function start later, freshener timer which help to defer to when to start brewing and comes handy for those who doesn’t grind coffee bean right before brewing. The downside of the machine is basically same that seems to exist in most of same kind, which is the water tank level viewer is rear left side. Hence as I place In a corner, need to pull out to check it. Wish it is at front. Secondly, to pour the water need to be careful to spill out of the tank. But again, seems this is the design across most of brand in this category. For last, even it says Stainless Steel, actually it refer to color and at front only. But, at the end it is practical, does what meant and simple if don’t mind some cosmetic matters.

This Coffee Maker is exactly what I hoped for. It is easy to use, brews quickly, and has every feature my family needs. Oddly, my wife was most excited for the measuring spoon that came included. Apparently she was never confident that she had been measuring her coffee grounds correctly. With the help of the measuring scoop, she was quickly able to make better tasting coffee than with our previous Black And Decker Coffee Maker. My only real complaint is that the water reservoir is not removable. Sooner or later the device will need to be cleaned - and since the water simply fills the area behind the basket and coffee pot, we will need to tip the entire machine upside down to clean it out. The manual suggests not brewing less than 4 cups, but what they call “4 cups” is just slightly more than what fits in one of my wife’s larger mugs. I personally like that a timer can be set to brew the coffee and the machine will show you how long it has been since the coffee has been brewed. So, no more stale coffee. Pros: - Easy to use - Beeps when coffee is done brewing - Coffee brewing can be paused so a cup can be poured mid-brew - Timer can be set to delay when brewing begins - Has a Brew Timer which shows how much time has passed from when the coffee was brewed - Comes with a measuring cup which helps to determine the specific quantity of coffee grounds required to brew the desired number of cups - Features a filter that cleans water during the brewing process - The lid is not able to close unless the water spout is pivoted into brewing position - The Coffee Pot’s lid is easily removable to simplify in washing the glass pot Cons: - Not ideal for individual servings as the manual suggests brewing a minimum of 4 cups - Does not have a removable tank (which makes cleaning much more difficult) - Water filter (if used) needs to be replaced often - The Machine is advertised as being Stainless Steel, but the construction feels rather cheep as the vast majority of the coffee maker is actually made from plastic - The lid is only able to close if the water spout is swiveled out of the way - this feature feels as though it could easily break the lid (or water spout) if too much pressure is applied.

The coffee maker makes great coffee. It has a timer and auto shut off, so the coffee doesn't sit on the warmer too long. I have two complaints, which are not huge deal breakers, so I am giving it a 4 star review. One is... why can't manufacturers put a light in the clock part. Really hard to see unless you put your glasses on in a lit kitchen. Easy enough to set the timer, but again, hard to see. The second is that to start the timer to make coffee in the am, you first have to push the "on" button twice. If you hit it once without thinking, you'll start the brewing process. I also can't keep it on the strong button. That has to be pressed each time... so I guess that's three minor things. Still easy to use. I also like the water filter feature over the coffee filter. We have hard water, so we filter with a pitcher system, but this is a nice step. Also helps so the water doesn't spray on the coffee grounds, so grounds don't end up in the pot. Small enough to leave on the counter every day.

This is the best coffee maker I've ever seen and used. It comes wirh less cost and many useful features. It has two modes, one is strong and other is normal to brew the coffee. I usually prepare around 8 cups of coffee and my entire day this will be enough. Very easy to clean and happy to use.

It works, but I can't brew on the strong setting due to the coffee grounds being splashed into the pot...I suppose they're shooting up and getting in-between the filter and basket. I haven't actually watched it happen, but when I set it to strong, I eat grounds...Also, not the biggest deal, but the top door opens from right to left instead of front to back. I'm a lefty and turn it to get the right angle to pour in the water. All in all, the coffee is fine, it's tasty n hot...and it's a very fast brewer!!

Excellent replacement for its Mr Coffee predecessor. Was able to use the same filter basket from the predecessor. The water filter no longer has a screw on holder on the bottom of the holder, but snaps into place by tension. The carafe on the predecessor is taller and therefore cannot be kept as a replacement in case of breakage. The coffee brews faster than the predecessor. All in all, has a good appearance also.

Love it. Makes coffee and its really easy to use. Looks nice too.

I have had a number of Mr Coffee maker, but this one is an improvement. It is faster in brewing the coffee. the programmable feature is easier to use. Nice to already have coffee made in the morning. Had traditionally had black ones, but the stainless steel is sharper.

Bought The Mr. Coffee to replace and upgrade my previous coffee maker. I must say its the best coffee machine iv owned. The stainless steel is easy to clean and looks very stylish. The functions are awesome to have my coffee brewing and ready right when I wake up.

Bought this for work. Its a nice machine that gets the job done. Makes a lot of coffee and keeps it warm.

The coffee maker looks great in our kitchen and is working out very well! We replaced a older model we had for a long period and hopefully this one will last for a long time!
