Definitely no better than others in my opinion. I'm no Barista. To me it's foolish to attempt to replicate the professional machines at great expense only to arrive at a so so cup of Jo. I always purchase a Mr Coffee programmable coffee brewer. Decent coffee, reasonable cost. Spend the extra dough buying better java. The reason why I've replaced them in the past was because I always bought white ones to match kitchen décor. They stain, as any brand would, and get unattractive. So this time I bought a black one with stainless steel. The only downside is fingerprints on the stainless have to be cleaned up.

Only appliance I didn't have on the surge protector, guess it fried it. Am trying to decide whether to get another one of these or since I am single, get the Cuisinart that makes a pot or uses the Kcups.
