great dvd=was on several Xmas wish lists so I decided to check it out for us, too. And am glad we did.

Ian McKellen is spot on as Sherlock Holmes in this film. Very good score to this film also.

A well written extension of the Sherlock Holmes legacy introducing more depth to the character.

Sir Ian as Sherlock Holmes is a winning combo. For old and new fans, this should be watched.

I like mr. Mckellan, he was good in the film. This, in my opinion was not up to the Sherlock Holmes style, I hope his future choice of scripts doesn't include scripts of this type. He would make a great Sherlock with a better script.

I love Sherlock Holmes, so I was very curious to see a story about him as an old man.It was a mystery, but one of him trying to remember a case. There are other things that happen,but, its a film about ordinary life.

Really good movie. Very underrated movie, Enjoyed very much.
