Not enough USB ports for Oculus VR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though the box says VR ready i cannot connect my Oculus Rift to this mother board as i needed. back only has 5 usable usb3 ports on back another one is available if you buy usb c to usb a adapter.I will basically fill up the back with just my VR system, mouse and keyboard will need to be on front of my PC and looks ugly. You could add a pci express card and gain more usb but at that point just buy another board with more expansion built in.

Caught on fire
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After 3 days of building the pc. Which is an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with AMD Raedon 580x black edition graphics card and corsair 750x psu. The game froze and look over and the motherboard was on fire.

Beware - May not be compatible out of the box

If you have a second or third gen, have fun sending it to MSI to get the BIOS updated before you're even able to use it.

Great MB but known glitch with older Win 10 vers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this motherboard up with a Ryzen 5 1600 cpu and a Corsair Vengeance RGBPro 2x8GB 16GB kit of DDR4 3000mhz memory. I upgraded and existing PC with these components along with a 1TB SSD I had purchased from Best Buy earlier and a 4TB SATA HDD. I used my original Win 10 DVD and ran into the "Clock Watchdog Timeout" blue screen crash every time I tried to install windows updates. I flashed the bias with the latest version and still had the issue. Turns out you need the 1803 version of windows 10 to keep this from happening so I used another computer to download that ISO and create an install DVD. Wiped out the created partitions on the SSD and did a full reinstall with the downloaded 1803 version disk using my original windows 10 product key. That did it. Now this machine is running very well with no issues. If you are doing an upgrade and have an older version of Win 10 get the 1803 ISO and use it for the install on this motherboard.

Simple , A very good $100 AMD 4 Motherboard

SATA ports a properly place 3.1 USB M2, slot sturdy and well-designed with a simple BiOS upgrade this board is incredible.
