Customers are pleased with the Bravo 15's performance, RAM, graphics capabilities, and keyboard. Many appreciate its affordability and the quality of the display. However, some users point to the short battery life and noticeable fan noise as drawbacks. The weight of the laptop and the sound quality of the speakers also received some negative feedback.

This laptop was probably the worst purchase I could’ve made with the money I had. It overheats in about 3 minutes while having chrome open. Which leads to the fans kicking on and sounding like it’s literally going to take off from my desk. It crashes more than a 10 year old MacBook. One night I had 3 crashes in a row while working on premiere. The project was not intensive at all. Make sure you have headphones as well because you can’t hear Jack on these speakers especially if the fan is on. Last but not least. Keep the charger with you at all time. You’ll get about 40-45 minutes of work before you have to plug it up. I urge you to go with another laptop.

Gaming laptops are very matter of fact in my opinion. We are looking for the power to game on our existing and/or new levels, and we expect a comfortable form factor with decent battery. Throw in the right connectivity options, a decent trackpad and keyboard, and we are set. The MSI Bravo checks all those boxes in my opinion and offers a solid option for most, if not all, in the market for a portable gaming rig.
Opening the box, the MSI Bravo series design is very well thought out with regards to a powerful gaming laptop. It has a gamer’s look and feel, feels very durable and sturdy, and has one of the best cooling-oriented designs I’ve seen in a laptop. Normally, gaming laptops have decent clearance on the bottom of the device, allowing it to breathe better when cooling fans kick in. The MSI Bravo is designed this way as well but has 2 distinctions from other laptops I’ve previously used. First, the ventilation on the bottom of the laptop is much more open and covers a larger area than I’ve seen on any other rig. I would say it may cover about a third of the base and add to that you can clearly see inside the machine – it can really breathe when the workload gets heavy. Second, the feet on the base offer around the same clearance you’d expect from most gaming laptops (about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch or so), but it also sits higher in the front as well, with feet that are only slightly lower than those in the rear of the base. This thing really sits well above the surface. The feet don’t allow for quite the forward tilted typing experience others do, but for a gaming rig, I’ll take the cooling any day.
Power the MSI up and of course you are greeted by Window 11. This will be familiar to most and provides an easy way to get your new laptop up and running just like your existing PCs. I was happy to see there wasn’t much on the Bravo in the form of bloatware. With the exception of Norton’s, I think everything else was pretty much acceptable. There are some great MSI applications that serve as excellent tools for monitoring and diagnosing your devices hardware. These are useful when you want to run games you believe will push your device to its limits. If you are MNK warrior, the trackpad may disappoint. It’s a bit smaller than I would have liked, but it’s not unusable. I will say the trackpad is very responsive and has very good feel – just wished it was a tad larger. The keys are sturdy and separated. They are a bit stiff, but I think that’s good for gaming. The difference is what takes a bit to get used to, but once you are there, it’s comfortable. Graphically, the MSI Bravo is a beast! It handles what you throw at it. I like the Tomb Raider series, Rogue Squadron, Rainbow Six Siege, Wolfenstein – handled them all without a hitch and with great framerate – mostly at around 60 with an occasional dip during heavy scenes/moments. The 1080p visuals didn’t disappoint on what I feel is a pretty good screen for a gaming laptop. I have to give this thing its props, it offers an enjoyable, portable gaming experience. About that word “portable”. The battery life actually surprised me. I was expecting maybe a little over and hour, an hour and fifteen minutes while gaming, but you can get about 2 hours out of this thing while gaming. Of course, you can get more just using it for everyday tasks, but it does well for battery driven gaming sessions.
This is a great device from MSI. I highly recommend it for mid-level to lower-level hardcore gamers. It has a smaller footprint than some other gaming laptops, has great ventilation, great performance, and decent battery life. I would put it in any comparison list when considering a gaming laptop.

I recently acquired the MSI Bravo 15 gaming laptop as a strong contender to be my next reliable partner in numerous virtual adventures without causing a dent in my wallet, and I'm thrilled to explain why it offers excellent value for money.
Firstly, this laptop packs a substantial punch under the hood. The AMD Ryzen 7-7735HS processor and 16GB of DDR5 4800MHz RAM (upgradeable to 64GB) can handle even the most demanding titles. Whether I'm engrossed in a fair share of CS:GO and Battlefield, or exploring vast open worlds in Starfield, the Bravo 15 performs flawlessly. The AMD Radeon RX6550M graphics card with 4GB GDDR6 takes gaming visuals to the next level. For instance, in games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3, the landscapes are rendered in stunning detail, and the character models are incredibly lifelike. It offers the power of a compact gaming rig in a portable form.
The 512GB NVMe SSD is pure bliss for gamers. Load times are almost non-existent, allowing me to quickly jump into the action without any delay. This is particularly noticeable in games like Destiny 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone, where rapid loading can mean the difference between victory and defeat. It's perfect for those intense, fast-paced games where every second counts. However, it will consume a significant portion of space after installing a few 100GB+ titles, so I'd strongly recommend a storage upgrade. Other reviewers have noted that the board does have an additional available NVMe slot which requires an adapter plate from MSi, but adding a terabyte or two of space isn't as costly as it used to be, so I'd definitely plan for this upgrade if you are looking to install multiple games to play on the go.
The MSI Bravo 15 boasts a sleek, minimalist design with its brushed aluminum finish, which looks great on your desk. It's surprisingly lightweight for a gaming laptop, making it easy to transport to LAN parties or just to your favorite gaming spot in your home. However, the one downside is, as expected of gaming laptops, it tends to get a bit warm during extended gaming sessions. You might want to invest in a cooling pad to keep things comfortable.
The 15.6-inch display is a sight to behold. The Full HD resolution is crisp and vibrant, and the 120Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth gameplay. The thin bezels add to the immersive experience, but there's one minor drawback: the brightness could be a tad higher for outdoor use. However, indoors, it's stunning. And besides, who really games outdoors often anyway?
The audio quality on the Bravo 15 is solid, with loud and clear speakers. You won't miss any crucial in-game sounds, but if you're an audiophile, you might want to invest in a pair of high-quality headphones (or a set of desktop speakers if you plan to keep it plugged in on your desk at all times) for a more immersive experience.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room - the battery life. Like many gaming laptops, the Bravo 15 doesn't last all day on a single charge. Expect around 4-5 hours of non-gaming use. While this is typical for gaming laptops, it's still something to consider if you plan to use it for work or school in addition to gaming and you're thinking of not plugging in often.
In conclusion, the MSI Bravo 15 gaming laptop is a formidable gaming machine offering impressive performance and speed in a portable package at a reasonable price. It's a gamer's dream come true, with minor drawbacks like heat and battery life. If you're looking for a laptop that can handle today's demanding games and leaves extra money in your wallet to buy said games, the Bravo 15 is a worthy contender.

I really enjoyed this laptop!!This machine has all the little bits I like in a machine - lets dive in
1. Fit and finish - the machine is made nicely - rugged but has nice aesthetics and design. Its all black with the MSI logo on the lid(wish the eagle eye would illuminate!) The monitor shell is rigid! I don't get a lot of flex like others when i open/close. This is huge for me. There is a nice long thumb ridge on the top to open close and an ever so subtle bevel along all edges as well.
The keyboard is nice and a FULL board - qwerty key and number pad!! The also did offset the touchpad to center to the keyboard typing surface. I have decently big hands and this keeps the palm from touching and causing me frustrations.
The keyboard is responsive and easy press. Although im not sure on longevity. let me explain. the keyboard backlights are good except for the w/a/s/d and power button. They are translucent. As such i have some worry they may rub out over time given the frequency of usage on these buttons - Time will tell but not a big issue
Performance is as expected based on the specs of the machine - Game play is smooth and looks really good. I tested using Fortnite and Killer Instinct - no lagging and smooth graphics
They did a great job on the software here - not any bloat just OS and the MSI software Armory. Really good layout and works really well - doesn't run you experience with the machine just subtle enhancements and good config/customization availability.

Great laptop with a weak graphics card.

The MSI Bravo 15 B7E has some great features, but it's held back by a weak graphics card. The Bravo has a decent case, its sturdy, light weight, and has nice falcon design edged into the center of the laptop. The Bravo offers plenty of cooling vents all over it, this gives it plenty of air circulation to help keep it cool while gaming.
The keyboard is one of my favorite things about this laptop. It has a full keyboard layout plus, a number pad. The keyboard is backlit with a light blue hue and the keys feel great to type with. The Bravo is equipped with 2 speakers that offer high-res sound, and for a laptop they sound pretty good. They offer decent surround sound effects and sound loud and clear.
Another great feature about the Bravo is the screen. The screen is a 15.6” 144hz FHD screen and looks amazing. This is one of the better laptop screens I’ve played on in a while. There is also a built-in webcam and microphone on the top of the screen as well, but it doesn’t offer face detection to sign into Windows.
As far as the performance of the Bravo 15 goes, well there in lies the problem…The laptop does pack a AMD Ryzen 7 processor which is good, and it does offer a Radeon graphics card, but the card is only a 4GB DDR6, which is not terrible for older games, but it’s not that good for modern games. I especially noticed this when playing some graphic intense first-person shooters…The best settings I was able to use were low, anything else and the laptop wasn’t able to handle it. So don’t expect to run the latest games at high or better, because this card can’t handle them. This is very disappointing, seeing how they packed so much into this laptop, only to be let down by a weak graphics card.
Overall, I really wanted to love the Bravo 15, they really put a lot of great features into this laptop…It has a beautiful screen, a great backlit keyboard, exceptional surround sound, a Ryzen 7 with 16GB of DDR5 ram, but they dropped the ball on the graphics card. Don’t get me wrong, this laptop will be able to play a decent number of games, especially older ones, it just isn’t able to handle newer and/ graphically intense games very well. If that doesn’t bother you, then I would say this is a good low to mid-tier gaming laptop.

So, out of the gate... let me say I would give this 4.5 stars, but that isn't an option.
A modern very powerful laptop, that should serve any user well for several years if not longer.
Let's get right to my few negatives:
1) This is my negative for almost all laptops I have looked at. IT IS NOT USING USB-C FOR CHARGING, and requires a proprietary adapter. Look, seriously. we just need to move on, and all get standardized, so we can use the plethora of small USB-C charging options. As a traveler, carrying this massive charging bricks, is a major pain. And for a student or other, that is tough too. and they are expensive options to buy a 2nd / 3rd one.
2) Heavier than most laptops nowadays. I did find this unit heavier than most I have check out lately. Same size, but this one was just a bit heavier. not crazy, but if this is going in a bag or backpack, could make a difference.
3) Slightly slow boot time. Now, to be fair, we are still talking just 10-15 seconds and the system is up and running, but compared to some other options as of late, that are up in just a few seconds, it is noticeable.
Now to all the good stuff:
1) I LOVE that it is upgradeable. You can upgrade the memory and the storage space, pretty easily. DDR5 memory, easy to upgrade and can take up to 64GB. Storage is PCIe. It will take a little bit of time to upgrade (unless you are just going to format and restart), but super easy to install and upgrade.
2) The keyboard, is responsive. not just a lightweight tap and type, there is some feel to the keys, and that is important to people that type a lot
3) Screen. Big screen, bigger than most lately.. (and probably why it is heavier). So you can get a big space for your development and your game play
4) Strong graphic processor/system, while not the absolute latest (which is nearly impossible to do nowadays), it is very realistic and strong and powerful. the multiple games we tried, worked just fine with no hesitations.
So this laptop is going off to play games and build games (used as a development machine as well).
it has all the standard necessary expansion ports, so no issue there. Liked that it had the option to be wired ethernet.
So other then the relatively few nit-picks, this is a solid machine
