Overall this is very close to deserving the full 5 stars. Performs well, is incredibly small, and the software is pretty helpful. I can monitor temperatures and limit battery to 60% since it’s usually charging anyways. Runs games and clip studio paint with my Wacom tablet pretty well. The keys also feel REALLY nice versus cheaper membrane keys, best laptop keys by far. Now to talk about the problems. All of them are pretty minor, but worth noting: I see the occasional stutter in this laptop. It may be a driver issue, but out of the box I should not have weird lag issues on the Lock Screen. Doesn’t affect games or anything, but with my 4070 desktop, a previous 4050 Acer Nitro 17 laptop I’ve given away as a gift, and my older two desktop builds with a 1070TI and a 1080TI, I’ve never seen this problem, especially out of the box. However, it is very likely drivers, and I’m not incredibly concerned. Being a small laptop, I think the fans being loud is understandable. However, opening the computer and instantly having fans on jet engine mode before I get through the Lock Screen can be very confusing, especially after taking time to remove all of the bloatware. My third and final issue: MSI center is stuck on the taskbar and will not stay unpinned. Many fixes online are available, but include deleting files. They also didn’t work. Why is this an issue MSI?

It's a good enough laptop for the money. The 15.6In version of the Cyborg is a much better value but if you want small & compact then this is your ticket. Both the RAM & M.2 SSD can be upgraded. The best time to buy this laptop is on sale.

Awesome little laptop with big power. It’s played EVERYTHING I have thrown at it from Company of Hero’s to S.T.AL.K.E.R.2. Compared to my Alienware R17 this runs great.

Truly the best buy at BEST BUY.. got this with $300 off and was delivered within the said leadtime... the unit was in its greatest,newest and safest condition. The service at BEST BUY was superb too. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating Kudos to all the happy and helpful workers of Best buy.

It’s only been a few hours since this arrived. Everything seemed fine until the battery got low, and I plugged it in to charge—then the black screens started showing up. I will not spend $800 on a machine that breaks within a day. This is completely unacceptable.

It’s been only a month since I ordered from bestbuy. I have static lines on screen WITOUT PHYSICAL DAMAGE.

This laptop is perfect for my niece and nephews. They only play Minecraft so the FHD display is perfect. 144hz is good enough too. You don’t really need much higher imo. The laptop itself is light enough for them to carry around so they can play in a different room during family gatherings. The design looks cool enough that keeps the kids from wanting to smudge it.

I am really impressed with the MSI 14" Cyborg laptop. I use it for light/medium gaming along with video editing, everyday web surfing and various business apps. It's my do-all machine. Very fast and quite, hardly ever here the fan kick in, but I am not a heavy gamer either. Quite impressed they were able to put so much performance into such a reasonably priced laptop. Because of large video editing files, I have upgraded the RAM to 32GB's and added a 1TB Crucial NVMe SSD. It's great knowing ram can be upgraded even more to 64GB's if needed and SSD can be further upgraded as well. Love the 14" format and light weight better than my old 15.6" Dell XPS 9530. All in all, exactly what I was looking for!

tends to freeze or run slow with multiple demanding programs open and sometimes has these weird power/update issues. pretty small but very light. good graphics. just dont use this for game development lol anyways best buy did a great job delivering it safely and keeping me updated. overall ok purchase i guess

There’s a lot of hate for msi laptops but I took the plunge as it was on a great sale and at the time I thought I’d be getting rid of my desktop. I needed a laptop for school and something that would not take up a lot of space but still play my steam games, this laptop fit the budget and needs and I have to save I’ve been relatively impressed! You can tweak a lot of settings to adjust performance where you want it, fan isn’t quiet but not super loud either, well usually, oblivion remaster has it amped up, but it hasn’t crashed any games and loads wonderfully. My partner has never played a lot of games before but has been using it to play Hogwarts legacy for hours and it runs just fine. We always use it plugged in for games but it gets decent battery life for other tasks considering the power it pulls. I’d recommend it for an entry laptop you want to run your games well and not break the bank!

An Absolute beast of a gaming laptop. It’s perfection. Runs super quick. Doesn’t heat up and is just a literal steal when you see it. I made the right choice.

Only negatives are that the battery donesnt hold a charge and the laptop gets very hot while in use

Delivered on time and booted up right away. This laptop has enough power to run the games that I play and I have not had any issues with overheating or reduced performance with high stress loads.

Overall a great gaming laptop with strong performance, solid build quality, and excellent thermals. The only downside is that the GPU can’t reach 100% of its potential because of the limited PSU power, so you don’t always get the full performance the hardware is capable of. Aside from that, everything else works smoothly and the experience is excellent for the price.

Wanted to get a small gaming laptop for my niece that she can use for college work and casual gaming. This doesn't disappoint. Have no trouble playing Cyber Punk on medium settings. All-in-all, this is a great entry-level laptop for someone getting into gaming.
