Overall, I really like this laptop. I considered the HP Omen, but decided on this one because it has a more quality look and feel. Things I like about this laptop: 1) Packs plenty of power to handle anything you throw at it. 2) Large anti glare screen. I originally purchased the 15 inch model, but returned it to the store and ordered the 17. The screen is very bright, clear, and crisp. 3) Nice keyboard you can customize to your own taste. The keys have a good quality feel when you type. You can make it white like many other keyboards, or you can have fun with colors. The keyboard also has some fun modes, such as audio mode where it changes with the beat. I read some complaints about the font on the keys--I guess that's a matter of preference. I also read some complaints about the location of certain keys, such as Home, End, PgUp, and PgDn. This didn't bother me as much as the fact that Home and End are shared with PgUp and PgDn, so Home and End require the function key. However, I was able to use the SteelSeries Engine 3 software to reverse these key mappings. 4) Good quality sound. I've owned several laptops with JBL, Harmon Kardon, and Beats sound, but these actually sound better than any of my previous laptops. 5) SSD for the OS really improves load times. You'ill want to update your Windows settings to store documents, music, videos, etc. on the data drive, which is also a fast 7200 rpm drive. I read some complaints about the OS drive getting full. This should not be a problem if you are careful about where you store your data. You can also remove the recovery partition after creating recovery media to give yourself an additional 16GB of space on the OS drive. Things I don't like / problems I've encountered. 1) When I installed the Windows 10 anniversary update, I encountered some Audio problems. The Windows 10 Anniversary update causes problems with the Realtek drivers and the Nahimic software. The sound quality was terrible until I installed the latest Realtek driver and the latest Nahimic software. Windows 10 forces you to update, so you will have no choice but to deal with this. 2) I tried to reset the computer back to factory with the Windows reset function. The reset failed and I was forced to restore the system from the USB backup I created with MSI BurnRecovery (make a point to do this ASAP if you buy an MSI). FYI, the factory reset failed on the 15 inch version as well. 3) Battery lasts about 2.5 hours on normal use (internet, email, etc.). This isn't horrible trade off for a powerful system.

Most people would buy this computer as a gaming computer, but I purchased it for my wife who has vision problems. It has a very large, crisp screen, the keyboard has a black background with backlight keys in different colors with a separate numeric keyboard. It has a 125gb solid state drive where she keeps all of her programs for very quick loading and a 1tb drive for files, photos, etc. Because it is a gaming computer, she can very easily adjust the light intensity/contrast of the screen. I had to read the manual to find out how to turn on the camera when she wanted to Skype because the computer comes up with the camera in the off position. Since this is easy to turn on with a function key (once you know how), I left it that way. I had the Geek Squad set it up for us with both of her e-mail addresses easily accessible and large fonts on everything. They did a few things wrong, but graciously re-did them all. The only problem was we had to spend an extra hour and a half shopping while they finished resetting it.

I love this computer it is my first choice now. I used to be a Sony PC customer and have bought HP since no longer able to get Sony. This was my first MSI and thought they were only for gaming so hesitant about ordering as I don't play games on my laptops but was so happy with it, so much wouldn't think about ordering any other brand from now on. I'm 65 using office apps ,browsing streaming music and email it is fantastic 5 out of 5 stars I have no negative comments here.

We purchased this laptop for my daughter, she wanted a new laptop to use for college, and gaming. So far we are not disappointed, it performs very well for a gaming laptop, and it doesn't break the bank either.

I wanted a better high end lap top and even though it's a gaming lap top it still does the everyday job one could ask for of a lap top. The quality of the MSI feels great, not flimsy like other lap tops. I cannot say enough about the speed of the SSD drive. The lap top boots up in just about 10 seconds which to me is super fast, compared to other computers I have used. MSI has sold me on their product and I would definitely purchased another MSI in the future

I bought this computer for running my 3D solid modeling software and playing some video games. This computer has performed to my expectations with ease. Plenty of power and speed to do whatever I have asked it to. The only dislike I had with this product was the font used on the keyboard. Not what I would have chose because some of the letters look so similar, but I'm getting used to it. I did run into a glitch with Microsoft Edge, but I think that will be solved with a reload.

I love this PC it is nicer than mine and mine is the MSI Leopard... Gave it to spouse for christmas and He Loves it ....matter of fact so do I and mine is just as new .....It has rainbow lights or red lights on keyboard is Super Fast and Quiet..... there is a issue with the realtek playback idk but it will get fixed ..... Would i recommend MSI YES.... both machines i have a rocking fast and great for gaming......

2nd gaming laptop in last year, and it has best overall performance, graphics, speed

The computer itself works perfectly. Its able to run games such as Overwatch and BF1 pretty easily. The only problem with the computer is it doesn't last more than two hours without dying, even when you put it in Eco mode. Because of this, I'd seriously consider either getting the 15' model or just a different brand if that'll ever be a problem for you.

Excellent laptop. First MSI. Have Asus Rog, alienware and giganyte p37. This performs right up to the Rog and Alienware with same specs.

Bought for my husband, and hes played two game son it so far. He says it's high speed, good quality, and very nice to look at. And absolutely loves the built in fan and can turn it on at any moment it starts to get hot.

Great computer, fast, reliable, great clarity, high quality

It's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it at or near max settings -Fan Button keeps cooling a nonissue -Keyboard is vibrant and responsive, customization options help truly make the the GE72 your own -Incredibly fast boot up time, starts up in under 10 seconds. -Power Saving options gives you about 2-3 hours of regular web browsing use on battery -Came Preinstalled with Chrome and recommended making it default as soon as I turned it on! -MSI Dragon Gaming Center Gives full real time readouts on laptop's resources. Overall I strongly recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a portable gaming monster. All in all I absolutely love this laptop and am quite sure that my future laptop purchases will be MSI products. Also I made my Keyboard Color Lay Out the Red Yellow and Blue which is cool.
