Its big and packs a punch!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually buy video cards from best buy as they are usually limited with what brands they carry. This is the first MSI higher end GPU I've seen at best buy. I had a 10% off coupon and a best buy down the road with one in stock. Upgraded from a 1070ti to this thing. I didn't think it could be any longer, I may have to get a new computer case. This thing beasts through games. Paired with my 144hz Quad-HD 1440p 27" Acer Predator I produce atleast 100+ FPS in most games in ULTRA settings. Very optimal for what I need. I could probably get a few extra FPS from an intel cpu as I'm running a Ryzen 1800x @ 4.0ghz. If you want the newest technology with RTX then this is the card to get before spending about another $500-$600 for the TI. I think this card is the perfect price point. Performs about 10-15% then the 1080ti but is more future proof. I hear with the more NVIDIA graphics drivers they are slowly squeezing more performance from the 20 series cards. I love this card but it is long. The TRI cooling fan system keeps the card cool and the RBG is great if thats your thing. I don't care for RBG too much personally, but for others I think they will enjoy it.

New To PC Building
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For my first build everything with this card got what I expected even though its a bit over-priced and heavy but wont be disappointed on the way it looks and performs. I might pick up a second one in the near future.

Good card for gen 1 RTX during it time ....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my 2nd build when this came out , Along with a i9 99k during that time and I never like AMD ( always have issue with their cpu ) . This RTX gen1 , at this point it a budget card compare to 30s and 40s. I had this card for over 3 years , working on year 4 now . It starting to show it age ,little to soon i think really . I have issue now with it not staying connect to monitor and newer games , it can't handle it on ultra , high is give or take . I find myself having go with medium setting to have a good play through .RTX was good but once again newer games require more then what 2080 can do . It not a bad card , it more a low end budget build now . Not sure how much longer i have with it before it die fully on me . I dread that day , trying to make it last lease next fall 2023 .

8GB of VRAM
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. That they are releasing high end cards with only 8GB of VRAM is crazy. Don't get one with less than 11.
