Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the performance, keyboard, design, and lightweight nature of the GS Series Stealth 15.6" Gaming Laptop. Many appreciate the size and the high refresh rate screen, although some find the battery life average. However, heat and fan noise are frequently cited as drawbacks, along with the sound quality of the speakers. The storage capacity is also mentioned as a potential limitation for some users.

The overall build quality of the laptop is amazing. The steelseries keyboard has a perfect feel to it as well as the laptop display. If you are looking to purchase this laptop for gaming, I would say that it is one of the best on the market. However, the pricing of the laptop seems to be exaggerated. Additionally, though the lap top may look heavy at first, it is actually pretty light and easily portable. The only issue I would say with mobility is how heavy the charger is, and you need it since the battery life is around 2-3 hours. Overall, this laptop has a perfect feel to it. I would personally recommend it to others who are looking for a laptop to do some work as well as gaming.

This is one of the best gaming laptops I've ever had. I love how easy it is to control your settings and the back lit keyboard give it a good feel when playing games.

I have been following this laptop for quite a while, and have also wanted to own it for about a year. After having graduated from a XPS 13 9350 to this and using it for a month, I can say that I am genuinely happy. The battery life is amazing (lasting me about 5-6 hrs on 80% of charge) and the overall performance is excellent. There are a few issues that plagued me - the dedicated GPU being constantly turned on - but these were solvable with some additional tinkering. 10/10 recommend purchase.

Best Laptop I’ve Owned So Far

I’ve always been one for getting the best deal, so naturally I’ve always bought lower end laptops. After time and time again of them failing me in college, I finally opted to buy the MSI. I use some fairly intense programs for school/work, plus I like to game a little on the side, and this laptop works phenomenally. The price is steep, but it is well worth the investment. It even runs some games better than family member’s base model gaming desktop

I haven't had too much time with this laptop, but so far so good. It is solidly built, very fast, and looks great! Boots up fast, shuts down fast, and can run several applications without any problems. It could use an additional USB port (it currently has 3), but I can attach a hub to increase ports, so no biggie. I use a wired keyboard so I can't really comment on the laptop's keyboard. Got it on sale which is what I based the "value" rating.

    9th Gen

I chose this laptop because it was a reasonably affordable system with a 9th generation processor (i7-9750H). In case you do not know, the 9th generation processors support Wi-Fi 6, the latest standard that supports a max throughput of 10 Gig per second. No, I do not have Wi-Fi 6 at my house...yet! I am not a gamer, so I cannot speak to its gaming capabilities. I do software development with some user interface work. I wanted a system that met my needs now and for sometime in the future. This system meets both those requirements very well. It is lightening fast (boot-up, processing) compared to my previous HP. I was not sure I would like the oversized keys, but it took very little time to get the hang of them. Since this is a gaming system, I am hoping the keyboard is built to last. I plan to use it for some VR when I get a chance and some cash to buy the equipment. That will be the real test of it of its abilities for me.

I was in the market for a new laptop, and since i had MSI previously without any issues I figured i'd try it again. Overall I feel like this computer is wonderful. It's almost like buying a luxury car. It has everything you need and more. I really enjoy how well it runs, even though its a lightweight thin computer. I was thinking about getting the new razor that came out. I thought that this computer better suited me, and i'm exceptionally pleased with my purchase.

It's pretty good, the main problem with it is due to how thin it is the fans are really pathetic and have to spin up like crazy to achieve proper cooling. Another problem is the fan controller is stupid. You do NOT have control of the fans, any setting you use automatically gets over rode and they spin up like crazy. Other than that, its smooth, powerful and runs anything easily. However if I could I would return it for something with quieter fans, it can get crazy loud!

This laptop is a huge upgrade from any gaming laptops I've owned in the past. I didn't love the price tag, but the deal that I got with Best Buy made it a little better. The sound and graphics quality is great, and the battery life has been decent thus far. It's got enough going for it in the system that I can play all of my games easily. I love the SteelSeries keyboard - playing around with the different colors and light patterns has been a lot of fun and I've gotten a number of compliments on it. All in all, a solid laptop that I'm sure I'll continue enjoying for some time.

I am a full time employee, who goes to school but also loves to game when I have the free time. I recently decided to look into purchasing a laptop that will serve both as a great school laptop and a gaming laptop. I used to have a bulky alienware and a macbook air. This laptop is the perfect 2 in 1. I am very happy I decided to purchase this product. Very lightweight, quick, and beautiful. I am very excited to show my laptop off! :)

I purchased this laptop last week and I am loving every aspect of it. My day to day life involves programming and training heavy deep learning models and this laptop hasn't given me a single reason to be disappointed. Top-notch quality, looks are premium, keypad and keyboard are the best in class and GTX 1660Ti is a devil. I am amazed at how MSI can fit so much in such a compact case. I can't recommend this product more.

Purchased this laptop during a flash sale with my $100 off with student discounts. Ended up being only $1300. For this price this laptop is a fantastic deal and is worth every penny. It played every game I tested on it (mostly AAA titles) without a hitch. Sadly I ended up exchanging it for the GS75, simply because I wanted more storage, the num-pad on the keyboard, and the bigger screen.

I was looking for a system that would be able to handle games like the Witcher 3 and modded Skyrim, as well as use for light productivity programs. I also wanted the system to be thin and light, as well as look "professional" (meaning it didn't look like the typical gaming red and black system). This computer fit the bill perfectly. I don't look at FPS and temp numbers and etc, but there are plenty of people that posted those so take a look at other reviews if you want that. I did thermal repaste and add an extra SSD to the system (512 is too small). This was totally doable for a newbie like me, who's never done anything of the sort before. Just watch some YouTube videos and be really careful. The screen is great, the speeds are fast, the computer can handle everything I put it through, and in general, it works well. The most annoying thing about the laptop is the flipped motherboard (which you have to go through for the SSD installation and thermal repasting) and the fact that the computer uses a Killer Wifi card which I had heard had a lot of problems. I was constantly disconnecting to the Wifi because of it. Luckily, it seems like you only need to disable the Killer drivers and software, as the card itself is good. The speakers are really meh, but since most people use headphones, this isn't much of a problem. Other than these minor gripes, the laptop is really nice!

After nearly 4 weeks of research, investigation, and interviews of gaming professional and retailers, I have finally decided on "MSI GS65 Stealth 9SD" as one of my next 2-years' travel companion. It would be MSI GS65's honor to be chosen as my companion as I travel a lot with high standard and expectation for whom I travel with, LOL. It is a replacement for my 6-years old, Sony 13", super light, high-end with GSM laptop which was damaged in a car accident. Though this is much cheaper than that of my replacement, it has a lot more calculation power than of my original replaced unit. The built quality appears to be rigid yet light. Which is a key decision for my pick. Though the graphic card is not the highest-end on the current market, it serves fast enough from general to video gaming scenario. Which helps me at times when I need to perform program compilation with video rendering. Remember, this is not a desktop power house. But, in a small packet platform that could offer this high output, I would consider MSI's product quite superb. There are quality considerations as well. However, those are to be report at a much later date (when MTBF - mean time between failure, is collected, if any). In conclusion, I won't buy this product unless I have tons of money to waste. I think I have made the right choice and hope you'll agree with me if you are one of the owner too!

I bought this gamer after i fried my alienware that was supposed to be soooo awesome. i give alienware 3⭐️ max!!! MSI’s however is faster and more responsive and the keyboard is easier to navigate when you’re into COD online and you don’t wanna get fragged. lol. if i could change anything it would be a bigger SSD other then that i find nothing to complain about here

Bought for gaming but is also being used as a school computer. High performance, the refresh rate is fantastic. The reviews stated the computer gets warm and the fan is loud, haven't noticed the fan, however we did combine a targas cooling mat to be used while gaming.
