Customers often highlight the impressive performance and sleek design of the GS Series Stealth 17.3" Gaming Laptop, along with its large screen size and relatively light weight for its power. However, some users mention that the laptop can get warm under heavy use and that the fans can be noticeable. Other potential drawbacks include battery life and the sound quality of the speakers.

We have used the GS75 for several weeks. The wife tele-computes and with her previous Dell i7 she constantly experienced lag. Now she blazes through her work with multiple apps running with no noticeable impact to performance. I have used it with some on-line gaming and have been pleased with the performance. The graphics are great, the response is crisp, and there has been no noticeable lag to date.

I'll start off by saying I returned the Alienware Laptop and it was over heating and shutting down. So I decided to get the Msi laptop and give it a try. I've had it about a week now no problems at all very fast doesn't over heat. Far as gaming is concerned I love it.

Good, but far from perfect! Fans on 24/7

I went through a lot of gaming laptops trying to find the perfect one, but I can't find one. At least not available locally. I may have to go online order, but I prefer to buy where I can easily return. This laptop is good, but far from perfect. The meh: Fans stay on 24/7. The moment you turn it on the fans are as well. Normally I don't care about such things, but this has an audible sound to it. There's a low hum to the always on fan. If it was quieter, I'd be super happy. Bad: Trackpad placement is the worst if you're a palm resting type of typer. I rest my palm on the decklid when I type... usually. I get it's bad form, but it's what I do. The trackpad is so sensitive, it'll click down with very little weight so palm rejection is just non-existent because sure it may reject the palm, but it won't reject the click. The worst thing ever. The designer should go back to engineering school IMO. The rest: For work it's great, nice big screen for multiple documents. Really helps me out when I remote into customers computers and do what I need to do. The gaming is fantastic. Love the speed, love the build (minus the creaks and over all chinsy feel) and most of all, the price was great! For around the price of the Razer I get a bigger (yet small feeling) laptop with more horses to throw around at games. I love the Razer laptop, but coilwhine ruined it for me.

Purchased this computer to replace my laptop which was slow, this is fast and I can game on it along with any other function like spread sheets, database, video and photo edits. Happy with it. If you game and use the laptop keyboard you may notice heat due to vents that push heated air out sides.

So I ordered another brand for pickup and when I came into the store I noticed this on display. Love at first sight. What wowed me was the display with the thin bezels and the incredible picture quality. Once I actually brought it home and put multiple games on it (BF V, Far Cry 5, Metro), they all ran silky smooth on max graphics AND after sustained game play for over an hour, the keyboard barely got warm. I'm not sure what kind of sorcery they used to keep this unit so well cooled, but it works and works well. Pricy? Not compared to some some frutier varieties of laptops that couldn't hold a candle to this performance. Beast? Yes. Buy it.

This is an excellent gaming laptop. It has plenty of power to play your games with high FPS. Its also powerful enough to run multiple AutoDesk products at the same time. Its ultra thin and super light, and super sleek. The touchpad is a little to bit, when typing your palm sometimes touches and starts moving the mouse and clicking. Overall really great Laptop, would recommend.

With RTX laptops starting to arrive I decided to look at the field and replace my three year old laptop. The 2070/16gig skew of the GS75 strikes a great price to performance balance if you want a higher end thin and light but don't want to shell out for something like a Blade. Performance - Great. I'm enjoying framerates in the 80-100 range on recent AAA titles like Division 2 and Tomb Raider. Framerates on esports titles like Overwatch are well over 100. Noise is also good, even under heavy loads the fans don't get loud enough to be distracting. Build Quality - The body of the GS75 has a nice rigid feel to it. The screen is somewhat floppy but that's likely unavoidable with something this thin. Overall appearance is understated compared to many other "gamer laptops", you can use this at work without embarrassing yourself. Screen - The screen is just gorgeous. 17 inch IPS panel with wide viewing angles, 144hz and 3ms response time, and ultra-thin bezels to boot. I'm more than happy to give up 4k for something this pretty. Screen is easy to open and close one handed. When closing the hinge does give way at about 75% closed, so don't let it flop. Speakers - Just okay. If you're sitting down for a long gaming session you'll probably want to pull out a headset, but if you're on the go the speakers rank a solid "good enough". I/O - 3 USB 3.1 ports, 1 USB-C, 1 Thunderbolt 3, Ethernet, microSD slot, full size HDMI, separate headphone and mic jacks. Honestly can't think of anything that feels missing on the I/o front, great job here MSI. Trackpad and Keyboard - Large, glass topped trackpad. I've read reviews complaining about the trackpad being so large that they have misclicks while typing but it isn't something I've experienced. Keyboard has a few quirks to it like home and end being in odd places but the keys have a great feel to them. Keyboard also features per-key RGB if that's your bag. Upgradability - Taking off the back case reveals two empty m.2 slots for easy, fast storage expansion. Upgrading the RAM is a more involved process that will require taking out the motherboard. GPU and CPU are both soldered.

So I was in the market looking for a new computer for my girlfriend and I originally looked at razer. Instead me getting it only I decided to come in the store and check them out. I wasn’t a fan of the design or color that they had so I looked around and noticed this MSI. It’s at a great price point with amazing hardware. Boots up very fast extremely light for the size. The setup process was great having it speak to you. I would recommend this product if you don’t have the space for a desktop but want similar performance.

All around sleek, fast and powerful gaming laptop. The battery doesn't last long but it's to be expected from such a thin and portable computer, and you want to be plugged in while gaming with any laptop anyways.

It’s incredible how powerful this laptop is while being so light. I can play any AAA game at high-ultra settings and demo my VR system without dragging my desktop with me. Battery life is excellent for a gaming laptop. I’m getting 6-8 hours while in eco mode (no power to GPU) and a solid 2-3 hours while gaming. My only gripes are the size of the storage and the noise from the fans while playing a game. I upgraded the storage to 2x 2TB NVMe drives and still have one more m.2 data drive slot left (laptop only supports 2 NVMe at a time.) There’s nothing I can do about the fan, but I wear headphones while gaming so no big deal. All in all I absolutely love this laptop.

After having this computer for almost 2 years, there are many pros and cons for this laptop. Pros: Super fast, outstanding memory, coding and compiling is simple and fast, gaming excellent, everyone loves the keyboard lights, AutoCad is a dream, Matlab is amazing. If you are not looking for a super powerful computer, my recommendation is, only buy what you are going to use. I get the most out of this laptop. Cons: Battery life is not very good. Obliviously, once you use the laptop like this the battery will not be good either. However, the battery started to go within 6 months. Maybe less. There is a calibration feature for the battery but it must kill your battery in order to boot it back up. I just believe the computer needs so much energy that the battery is not big enough to power all of the features within the laptop. 2 fans, keyboard (with/without lights), hard drive, ram, display, external, etc. It may just need a bigger battery with more juice.

So I originally had the GS65 and was going to just keep that and take the discount when the price lowered but I was patient and picked up the GS75. I have had this machine for about 3 weeks now and have played several games on it. The GPU isn’t throttling and the CPU is staying relatively cool. Now it’s still a slim laptop and things do heat up and there isn’t really any avoiding that but it doesn’t get as hot as some laptops. MSI has fixed some minor build quality issues. The area above the keyboard is vented like he old GS65 but It doesn’t feel as flimsy and doesn’t flex when u touch it like the other did. I’m not a huge fan of the touchpad, it’s overly large and I feel that gamers don’t use these track pads much anyway so why make it huge so it gets in the way. I hook a mouse up just like many other gamers will. I also added 2 Wester Digital SSD 1TB drives to the machine as well. You need to remove the screws and then remove the back off the laptop to reveal the additional 2 m.2 slots in this laptop. You should know that this machine comes with the screws in place already. You literally just insert the drive into the slot and secure it with the screw. It’s super easy and I love that about this laptop. You will definitely want the extra hard drive space as it only comes with a disappointing 512gb of drive space from MSI. The screen is amazing on this laptop and I am throughly enjoying using it.

I am Mac user, and the reason that I have been choosing Mac is the Mac OS. I was intended to buy a laptop to play games and after several days searching, I ended up by choosing this one. I would say, it is nearly perfect! The windows on this laptop is better than this ones in my former windows computer and most importantly, it is powerful like a beast. The build quality is the only thing that could be improved. However, if you wanna play games and also work on it, this is a solid choice!
