Very solid performance in game, does get quite hot, but the fast speed fan button definitely helps, and I would recommend getting a cooling fan pad for underneath it, like any laptop. For something this thin but powerful, expect it to get warm.

Beautiful, Slick, fast, good value. Wish it had another standard usb and that the numeric pad were a little bigger to match the rest of the keys.

Noisy Fans , but kind of nice?

3 stars because of how hot this thing runs under load, the quality of the keyboard and the overall build quality.
First, the fans are NOISY and SHRILL! I understand most laptops, especially with this thin of a profile and the latest hardware may have some fan noise related to heat dispersion but this is something to warn buyers about!
Second, the steel series keyboard while having that "Premium" feel with the customization options of the RGB zones also leaves something missing with that sense of hope surrounding longevity with something in this price range.
I felt like if I just held a key down too long or pressed too hard, it wouldn't work anymore.
Thirdly, the build quality. "Stealth" is implied here and you do get that, however your trade off is the quality of the build materials. The lid feels almost not pliant enough, one wrong move and bye bye panel. The charging port is on the side which to modern users of a "Creative/Studio/Gaming" machine is almost appalling.
Despite these few negative qualities the laptop does perform and you can get about 100fps in some AAA titles at max resolution on this thing. It's also Light coming in at about 4.5 - 4.6 lbs so you could easily travel with this in a backpack for a small powerhouse on the go! Also, the speakers are quite nice for listening, streaming, editing or gaming!
Just beware of temps! :D
and with MOST laptops, keep it plugged in!

I love this gaming laptop especially at this discounted price. I can run all games at the highest settings and use photoshop and lightroom classic without any problems. The only thing that would make this laptop even better is if it had a 4k screen. Overall for this discounted price i highly recommend it!

Considering the price of GPUs these days, this laptop is a great deal considering the performance you're getting.
The Intel i7 13620H is a great mobile processor that utilizes a combination of power (performance; hyperthreaded) and efficiency (low-power; non-hyperthreaded) cores. The e-cores do a great job at providing additional battery life that a system like this would have struggled to reach in the past. Because it offers a broad range of performance at a wide range of power consumption levels, I recommend most every 13th gen Intel core.
The RTX 4070 (mobile flavor) is no slouch. Even at the capped power (around 115W I think), this chip can tackle most games at high on 1080p. It's important to note this isn't the 1440p model, but at this display size 1080p still has a good ppi.
Back to the battery, the ability to switch between dedicated, hybrid, and integrated graphics gives the user incredible control over the battery life. That combined with the combination of p-cores and e-cores can give you a range of 3 - 7 hours of use. Out of the box, you'll get around 3 hours, but if you take advantage of the configurable's you can get around 7 hours of battery life. MSI advertises 8-ish hours, but I haven't experienced this without doing some undervolting/underclocking and other modifications. To caveat, you can charge this laptop using a USB-C cable, so long as you're not actively gaming (that port I think caps at 100W).
My gripes:
- The numpad. The included keyboard is a great keyboard, but the numpad is really forced in there. As much as I use and enjoy a 10-key, I'd rather go without than compromise the rest of the keyboard to accommodate this feature. This keyboard could've been comfortably spaced and have an ideal layout were it not for this feature.
- Ports. I'm glad to see two USB-C ports and I love having an ethernet port, but having only 1 USB-A port is very inconvenient. I'd rather we ditched the micro-sd reader for a second USB-A. Plus, it's unfortunate that only 1 of the 2 USB-C ports will allow you to charge.
- Bloatware. It's in almost every laptop these days, so I'll continue to gripe about it. I don't want the Norton, so stop including it.

Nice laptop when it was working. But all the sudden it got the blue screen of death and now it wont detect the 4070 card. Can only run game off of the intergraded card. Will be returning.

I’ve owned it for about a week. I have played a few graphics intensive games but nothing crazy yet. Easily able to max out fps while vsync with like 0 frame drops (take with a grain of salt because I’m not playing any crazy intensive AAA games atm) I would check out the other comments for specifics on how it handles resource intensive games. I did do a test on minecraft using lowest settings on a super flat world and managed to reach 5700+ fps, which is pretty insane for a laptop.
This is very important for anyone buying this laptop:
You will having a heat issue if you do not configure your fans in the MSI center software. When I first got my pc, the fans are automatically set to not turn on whatsoever until a specific temperature is reached, which is already above comfort levels for me. To fix this, go into your MSI center > user scenario > extreme cooling settings > fan settings > advanced settings and then set the baseline cpu and gpu fan to run at something other than 0% for its baseline. You can also configure how fast the fans spin once it reaches each level of higher temperature there as well. Doing this mixed with changing some windows settings around to be performance focused and a cooling pad has helped mine stay cold to the touch basically 24/7 until I start downloading something or playing a game. While playing decently graphic intensive games, I haven’t seen it go above 65 C, and it was able to cool back down to its normal position around 35-45C within literally a minute or two after exiting.
Also another piece of advice, uninstall both MSI center and steelseries GG after the initial windows setup, and then reinstall them for them to work correctly. (Mine were malfunctioning). Also if you are new to NVIDIA graphics cards, make sure to use the GeForce experience app to download the latest graphics driver.
I think it’s a pretty decent deal for the price, however you can get the same stuff for cheaper by buying some of the other MSI laptops and upgrading the ram or SSD yourself and save like 200 bucks or so(most likely will void warranty tho). However, from what Ive seen, this model arguably makes it up in build quality and cooling efficiency compared to some of the older and very similar slim Msi laptops.
That’s about it, though I’ve only used it for a week, after tweaking everything to boost performance and cooling, I am very satisfied with the product so far.

This laptop uniquely checked all of the boxes for me, so I bought it as soon as it was available and I haven't been disappointed.
Strengths:
- By far the most impressive strength is the incredible gaming performance. And the additional incredible strength that you might not be hearing from other reviewers is that if you choose, you can run this thing in "silent" mode while gaming and still play A LOT of games at max settings with almost no noise. That is something gaming laptops just didn't used to do, and they definitely didn't do in thin and light bodies. You really only need to put this thing into performance mode and hear the loud fan for more graphically challenging games.
- The battery life is incredible for a laptop of this power. Just make sure you remember to toggle to one of the lower power modes when unplugging.
- Design is great. Feel is all around solid and great. Definitely feels premium.
- Wonderful glass mouse track pad. One grip is the clicking on the mousepad can be a little off but it's minor.
- Screen is bright and responsive.
Weaknesses:
- The other side of the coin of this laptop running so quiet almost all of the time is that it does feel very warm on the bottom, which makes lap use annoying. In battery saving mode the fans pretty much never audibly kick on for normal use, which is nice, but I almost wish they would kick on so that it was a bit cooler.
- The MSI software doesn't feel especially premium or tight. I've had hangs and crashes when messing with settings. Additionally, I wish I more easily had more fan control.
- I know this is nitpicky, but coming from an oled this screen fulls dull at times. It is a great screen and I understand why they didn't go with glossy, but this does not feel like gaming on an oled, mini led, or high quality glossy display.

This is probably my favorite laptop I’ve had. It’s a beast and handles modern AAA games with no problem. It is a little loud, but that’s to be expected with gaming laptops, and it strikes an excellent balance between being thin and light compared to other gaming laptops and a powerhouse. The build quality is also excellent. The keyboard is pleasant to type on and trackpad is a good size and very smooth to use. Battery life is also very good for a gaming laptop.

The MSI Stealth 16" 144Hz FHD+ Gaming Laptop is absolutely top-notch. The speed is superb—it handles everything I throw at it with ease, from gaming to productivity tasks. It runs seamlessly, with no lag or stuttering, and despite its power, it stays impressively quiet most of the time.
The lightweight chassis is a huge plus. It feels solid and premium without being bulky, making it easy to carry around. The display is stunning, with vibrant colors and a smooth refresh rate that makes gaming and media consumption feel incredibly immersive. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, adding to the overall great experience.
One downside is that it does run a bit hot under heavy load. The fans work hard to keep up, but you can definitely feel the heat when pushing it to the max. It hasn’t caused any performance issues, but it's something to keep in mind.
Overall, this is an outstanding laptop for gaming, work, or anything in between. If you're looking for a powerful, sleek, and reliable machine, this is definitely one to consider.

I got this laptop to replace an 8 year old Dell that unfortunately just wasn't cutting it anymore. I love how slim and light it is and how nice the display looks, and the fact that if I decide I need more RAM later, there's space to expand it. Right now, I'm just enjoying the fact that I can game on ultra quality with no lag. It does run just a touch hot, but propping it up on an angle seems to help. I haven't noticed any decrease in performance, even with 4+ hours of use. The battery life is decent, and it charges quickly. Definitely worth the investment.
