    absolutely fantastic laptop!

This thing is an absolute beast compared to my old laptop. It's built well, the frame feels sturdy, the screen looks nice, and the keyboard feels nice and clicky for both gaming and typing. I love the lights on the back and the per key RGB too! the laptop's proving to be great for everything from working on school work, personal projects (programming, 3D modeling, game engine stuff, editing video, digital art, etc etc) as well as being great for gaming! the PC port of Spider Man: Miles Morales is able to run at high settings with Ray Tracing on here at 70-100fps as long as you've got DLSS on. VR is also great on here from what I've tried so far. however, the cons I've noticed so far is that the SSD isn't very fast while other data is being written. if I'm downloading a Steam game, I can't do much else otherwise it'll lag (both audio and inputs). I checked Task Manager when this was happening and the response time of the SSD jumps from 1ms to about 100ms, which is not great. however, this problem can be very easily fixed by simply upgrading to a Gen4 SSD rated with good speeds. and that's fairly easy to do thanks to the fact that this has 2 M.2 SSD slots, so you can easily clone the existing drive, replace it with a better one and still use the existing drive as extended storage. another one is that the way the fans are controlled is a bit different than what I'm used to. you can press FN+ up arrow key to crank the fans to max and cool it down, but the fans will only kick on automatically when you're playing a game or doing something equally heavy. the fans don't run at all under light loads, even if all you need is just the smallest bit of cooling to stay comfortable. just simply browsing the web and it gets a little hot? you're gonna need to press FN+ arrow key up and let the fans blast at max in order for it to cool down. and that's kind of annoying. however, I wouldn't classify any of those things as dealbreakers. this is still a rock solid laptop and a great buy!

I’ve owned it for about a week. I have played a few graphics intensive games but nothing crazy yet. Easily able to max out fps while vsync with like 0 frame drops (take with a grain of salt because I’m not playing any crazy intensive AAA games atm) I would check out the other comments for specifics on how it handles resource intensive games. I did do a test on minecraft using lowest settings on a super flat world and managed to reach 5700+ fps, which is pretty insane for a laptop. This is very important for anyone buying this laptop: You will having a heat issue if you do not configure your fans in the MSI center software. When I first got my pc, the fans are automatically set to not turn on whatsoever until a specific temperature is reached, which is already above comfort levels for me. To fix this, go into your MSI center > user scenario > extreme cooling settings > fan settings > advanced settings and then set the baseline cpu and gpu fan to run at something other than 0% for its baseline. You can also configure how fast the fans spin once it reaches each level of higher temperature there as well. Doing this mixed with changing some windows settings around to be performance focused and a cooling pad has helped mine stay cold to the touch basically 24/7 until I start downloading something or playing a game. While playing decently graphic intensive games, I haven’t seen it go above 65 C, and it was able to cool back down to its normal position around 35-45C within literally a minute or two after exiting. Also another piece of advice, uninstall both MSI center and steelseries GG after the initial windows setup, and then reinstall them for them to work correctly. (Mine were malfunctioning). Also if you are new to NVIDIA graphics cards, make sure to use the GeForce experience app to download the latest graphics driver. I think it’s a pretty decent deal for the price, however you can get the same stuff for cheaper by buying some of the other MSI laptops and upgrading the ram or SSD yourself and save like 200 bucks or so(most likely will void warranty tho). However, from what Ive seen, this model arguably makes it up in build quality and cooling efficiency compared to some of the older and very similar slim Msi laptops. That’s about it, though I’ve only used it for a week, after tweaking everything to boost performance and cooling, I am very satisfied with the product so far.

An amazing laptop, my only complaint is the charger gets ridiculously hot, but apparently that’s normal. The RGB keyboard is customizable and stunning. The graphics, even though not 4k, are crisp and could be mistaken for 4k. The fans keep the laptop cool, the profile is sleek, and it’s perfect for gaming. I would consider this a top tier laptop capable of outperforming most custom pc’s. I’ve never owned a laptop that was more than $200 before and now I can never see myself going back to cheap laptops. If this one ever becomes unable to be repaired I will definitely replace it with another of MSI’s great products. If you are looking at getting a laptop that will make everyone else jealous and stumble upon this one, get it!

Awesome laptop, had it for about a year now. Runs great, it does get very hot so be aware if it is on your lap. Battery surprised me for a gaming system, I can game for about an hour on battery. Doesnt sound like much but I didnt expect that long.

A really great laptop that is very fast and responsive, and has many small features that compliment the design. I highly recommend for any gamers who want the portability of a laptop. With it being a laptop the only thing is having to charge it, now the battery life is decent enough if you have it on the highest settings to at least get a couple hours of gameplay. If you change around the settings expect longer battery life. Overall i say well done to MSI in producing a laptop that is fun lightweight and has lots of power.

Review for MSI Stealth 16" 144Hz FHD+ Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 13620H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD The MSI Stealth 16" gaming laptop is an absolute powerhouse, delivering incredible performance for gaming and beyond. Equipped with an Intel Core i7 13620H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, it handles demanding games effortlessly, even at high settings. The 144Hz FHD+ display is super smooth, making fast-paced games look fantastic with no stuttering or lag. With 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, multitasking and loading times are lightning-fast, and I haven’t experienced any slowdowns, even with multiple applications running in the background. The build quality is also excellent—the laptop feels solid, durable, and well-crafted with a sleek design that sets it apart. The blue finish is a nice touch and gives it a premium look. Overall, this laptop combines high-end specs with outstanding build quality, making it ideal for gamers and power users alike. If you’re looking for a well-built machine with top-notch performance, the MSI Stealth 16" is definitely worth the investment.

Good speed, can handle any game at max settings that ive tried, issues is the fans are meh, and using cooler boost makes fans too loud, not a huge deal but is a meh thing. The biggest issue i have with this laptop is the one usb port, when im home i have a mouse, keyboard, headset, mic all that use seperate usbs, i basically use my laptop as a desktop when im home, and if you buy a usb splitter, or a usb port hub, whatever you want to call it, i can plug it all in but once i plug in the headset, quality goes to crap and you keep getting an error for usb usage, so i have to use the headset port to make it all work and quality isnt as good but it works, aside from that, not a bad laptop

I love the computer! I am an architect and I spent a long time deciding which computer to buy and so far I am very happy with my purchase. It is true that the computer overheats a little and makes a little noise. for a gamer computer it is very comfortable to transfer and I would choose it again!

The graphics, chefs kiss. Backlit keyboard, everything i needed. Processing, everything. RAM, unbelievable. I took no shortcuts when i chose this over the competition. If i was spending so much, it had to be everything i wanted. I work from home and am a PC TS4 playet and its worth it. I've had it 3 months, no complaints. Runs very hot, dather quickly too. So you'll need a cooling pad.

It handles anything i throw at it. I like to game and chew bubble gum and I'm all out of bubble gum. Has to be plugged in to run at full specs but thats pretty minor for how much it can handle. Runs a little hot but if you press Fn and the up arrow key it will increase your fan speed.

I started my journey with a Asus 4070 Gaming laptop, and returned to get this laptop. A really good gaming laptop. When purchased the 4080 laptops were 600 plus more with a recommended brand. This is a desktop replacement for me. Have played Forza Motorsports (2023) (65-70 fps, medium high), PUBG, Iracing (100-140 fps), Victoria 3 (80-100 fps), etc. this laptop has taken everything I have thrown at it. The laptop does get hot at full load, but it does not appear there is active thermal throttling. The fans are also quieter than the Asus I tried before. The screen is beautiful. The keyboard is one of the best laptop keyboards I have tried. Very good overall. This laptop is also surprisingly mobile. It’s a subdued look, which is awesome, and fits in my 16” work laptop bag. The power brick is appropriately sized.

Got this as an xmas gift for my partner so he could use is for both CAD software in school as well as for gaming when we traveled. But he insisted I return it bc he didn’t want me to spend too much on him - but man it was cool - almost kept it for myself at that point haha its not the BEST if you *exclusively* game but if you want a beast that can handle intense software and also some gaming - this is the best bet. Looks and feels like a gaming laptop - lags a little when you play for a while but does a good job overall - and fast otherwise for all other uses. 100% recommend. Get with the xbox membership too! Definitely worth it for all engineers/architects/etc. who like to enjoy their laptop outside of work/school.

This laptop works well, I generally use it in conjunction with an MSI docker to connect speakers, a mouse and keyboard and other things. It runs extremely smoothly and multitasks with ease. It does get a little warm, i would recommend a basic cooling pad to keep it elevated and assist the internal fans. My only gripe is the keyboard. I have found the keyboard to often miss a key while i am typing. More so on the number pad than anything else. One additional annoyance is the trackpad is centered on the entire keyboard, numberpad included, not on the basic typing keys. This makes my palm drag the pointer and click on occasion. All in all i still recommend this laptop, its faults are easily overcome. Will be using this for years to come.

Fast, Cool, Smooth, Quiet Just opened the box today and started on the setup. Everything seems to be running fine. I haven't purchased a laptop in 4 years and am having to adjust to the different types of USB ports. Q. I may be missing it, but is there a way to adjust the multi-color keyboard backlighting? I see that there is a function key for bright and dim, however, I would like to pick one solid color if possible. Q. Where do I control the fan settings. Once, again, I see that there is a function key for inc/dec fan speed. I would like to set it up to auto run at a specific temp if possible. Thank you for any support on the above questions.

I purchased this laptop about a month ago and am loving it. I initially purchased it for generalized use and for programing work. My fear was heating issues after reviewing some of the other reviews however after using it i can say that it does not over heat. Now just like any laptop with this power it will get slightly warm but nothing so far from my use. One con is thet it is over priced but would highly recommend when its on sale.

I got this laptop to replace an 8 year old Dell that unfortunately just wasn't cutting it anymore. I love how slim and light it is and how nice the display looks, and the fact that if I decide I need more RAM later, there's space to expand it. Right now, I'm just enjoying the fact that I can game on ultra quality with no lag. It does run just a touch hot, but propping it up on an angle seems to help. I haven't noticed any decrease in performance, even with 4+ hours of use. The battery life is decent, and it charges quickly. Definitely worth the investment.
