Growing up watching the animation and a bit surprised to see Disney didn't follow the copying animation to live-action strategy lol (which I actually like even though it's not 100% successful). I would say overall all the live-action is pretty good and there're some scenes I particularly like. My family enjoyed this movie a lot which I decided to purchase this after watching on Disney+

Excellent and enjoyable movie featuring many well known, to American audiences, Chinese actors. The action sequences incorporated many features of traditional Asian movies. I did encounter one problem that Best Buy helped to solve. The 4K Ultra version contained no instruction about getting the Digital Copy of the movie. This happened with 2 copies of the movie. We decided to downgrade to the Blu-ray version which did have the download instructions and was a bit cheaper. This is not a problem is you don't need the digital copy.

Another great Disney movie! Loved it. I will be watching this movie tonight and over again throughout the years. I appreciate the timing of the receipt of my movie and the steel book packaging is spectacular! Thank you Best Buy for an awesome online experience in placing my order. Found the movie more enjoyable than expected, good fighting sequences, beautiful scenery and with this 4k version stunning picture qualities without artifacts you would see on lesser formats, worth the 4k upgrade. My only grip is that it doesn't include a Dolby vision as can be seen on Disney+. Regardless I find this 4k DVD version better than the streaming counterpart

I enjoyed this movie. I read other reviews that trashed it because it wasn’t the same as the Disney version, but if you watch it without expecting it to be a remake of the animated movie you will enjoy it more. There was some action sequences with the fantasy type running up walls and flying through the air like Crouching Tiger, but since I enjoy that style of combat it was fine. The acting was great, the script was a good balance of serious and funny, and overall I liked it enough to have watched it twice already.

In my opinion, this was the best movie that I watched for 2020. The story and acting was excellent. Watch the movie all the way through the ending credits, because the actress for Mulan, Yifei Liu, sings a Chinese version of Christina Aguilera's song "Reflection". I wanted to get the full experience out of this movie and bought the 4K version...was worth every penny spent.

Great looking steelbook. Love the artwork inside and out. As for the contraversey about the movie itself, I personally do not see what the hoopla is all about. I actually enjoyed the movie a whole lot, it has great fight choreography, bright cinematography and a well adapted story. So what if it doesn't have mushu, singing and dancing, I didn't miss any of that. Save all of that for the animated version, it would just slow down the flow of the story. I definitely would watch this movie at least 3 more times into next year.

This 4K live action movie is visually stunning and has a great plot too. Tweens, teens, and adults should all enjoy it although it might be a little too intense for younger viewers. It is not the sanitized cartoon version but more of an action adventure with some wartime violence scenes.

If you like the animation Mulan, you will like the live action. Not everything is exact as the animation but the story line is good and so is the action. Now Disney is very proud of their pricing. It’s sad that we couldn’t see this film in theaters. Overalls, the movie is excellent!!!!

Just a superb movie that, obviously, Disney spend some time studying the history and the specifics of that area. I thought it was an excellent cartoon to movie adaptation. But I can’t understand why Mushoo Could have been Inc., since they already had a witch in the movie. It was very dramatic, I loved the intense fight scenes and the household family scenes.

I love the martial arts films , so this Mulan addition to the genre will please all those who do also . It is beautifully filmed with good action scenes on a huge scale as you would expect . By now everyone should be aware of the Mulan story . Also by buying the Blu-ray digital package you have so many more options to see the movie at your convenience .

I admitted I did not think I like this movie..I watched on DVD..I was like huh this actually is a great movie..so I got the 4k..it was a hugh different..The picture was way better..the sounds loud and clear...The HDR really popped out the colors..the artwork on the steelbook were cool

Got the 4K, took it home and it was a bad disk. Went three seconds, then paused. Pushed play and it went three seconds, then paused. Etc., Etc. Watched Blu-ray version. Great movie, just not 4K. Wanted it for my collection. Took it back and even on a busy day, just took a few minutes to exchange. Real curtious and good at social distancing.

This is a classic Disney movie with a happy ending, but unlike Disney's previous Little Mermaid or Frozen, this heroin didn't get her man. This Mulan Disney version should have had her man at the end with a hug in the village with her family instead of a suggestive future meeting. Also, the father/daughter ending relationship could have been more touching with more tears. Despite my seemingly harsh critique, I still recommend buying the movie to watch over and over like Frozen.

The live-action version of Mulan is obviously very similar to the animated version but also quite different in terms of the characters and story. It was a bit upsetting they didn't include the music and Mushu. I did still enjoy the movie and would watch it again. The steelbook is very nice to have in the collection.

Enjoyed very much. Story was very good. Action from start to finish, story and characters very good. Worth watching more than once. Plot kept moving, very well acted. Definite lessons taught. Love that. Would make an awesome gift for any age group. Beautiful scenes and interaction amongst characters. Really enjoyed this movie.

I SAW THE ORIGINAL MULAN YEARS AGO AND IT WAS NICE. THIS VERSION I LOVE. I THINK THIS WILL APPEAL MORE TO TEENS AND ADULTS THAN YOUNG KIDS. MY GREAT NEICE LIKED IT BUT IT DIDN'T HOLD HER INTEREST AS MUCH AS AN ANIMATED MOVIE WOULD HAVE. I THOUGHT THE ACTION WAS GOOD AND HOPE THEY MAKE A SEQUAL. I WILL DEFINATELY BUY IT.

Blu-ray itself seems rather average. Movie is good, i didn't fall asleep so it was engaging enough. Plan to watch again with a friend but no rush. For comparison, WW(17) first half I can watch over and over. The special effects and stunts in Mulan are fun but obvious. Jet Li has aged a bit ungracefully, i didn't recognize him initially. You might want to stream this first, then decide if you want to buy. Probably more fun for the older kids.

I loved it. I liked the cartoon version, but found this one really good. Instead of the cartoon dragon, you have a phoenix, but otherwise, this is well-done version of the Mulan legend that I will enjoy over and over. I think this one is better for tweens, teens and adults; whereas, the cartoon is better for the young kids.

I rated Disney Mulan 4K UHD 5 stars for cinematography, specifically the audio and video as well as the scenery for this type of movie. The original version though starring Vicki Zhao has better realism.
