Movie looked great but had a ok story. Everything flowed well. It was a little slow and a bit boring at times. Story was just not very well put together. No room to have you guessing as to who it was. Nothing to throw you off and really make you think you know who the culprit is. The story just felt like the viewer wasn’t their and did this way to much.

Great movie. Be aware that the blu-ray cases are somewhat flimsy. Since these movies are shipped now, the chances are pretty good that the discs will come loose within the case and move around perhaps causing damage. The scratches might cause video disruptions.

There has been over one version of Dame Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. This is the latest big-screen movie and many viewers who old enough may have seen the 1970 version with the biggest movie stars of its day. Sir Kenneth Branagh directed and played the lead part in this version and he did well. Many people talked about his prominent mustache and for a while, I could not look away either. They changed some major characters or even eliminated them. I was open-minded when I watched this one in beautiful 4K Blu-ray format. Unfortunately, I never read the book and I could not help comparing this to the 1970 version, and another one that was made for the television show (played by the famous David Suchet) but I didn‘t care for it.  Michelle Pfeiffer played Caroline Hubbard to the teeth. Her character got everyone together to do the good deed. Dame Judi Dench was wonderful as Princess Dragomiroff. Johnny Depp wasn‘t too bad, but I hoped that he would be a nastier character so when the gang stabbed him. And yet, I found myself in tears when I finally reached that scene. The Rachett character was a horrible man. (Agatha Christie based this story on the kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh's son.) He destroyed many people. They took it upon themselves to revenge for their loved ones and was almost a joy to see him killed. I was ready with a bucket of popcorn and was cheering on when it finally happened (amidst a piece of exquisite piano music that oddly started playing.) This is an enormous production. I enjoy watching it on my 75 inch 4K LG screen and have not been to movie theaters in years. Either I rent a disc, or I buy them because I want to see it more than once—and this version I have seen twice already. It was on sale at Best Buy and I appreciated being able to own a hard copy for myself to watch when I want. This version looks and sounds wonderful—they put extensive postproduction into place compared to the 1970 version which technologies were not available. I enjoyed either version—differently, and I know you will, too, if you are a Christie fan.

I would say this movie is a great Agatha Christie adaptation. I grew up on the Poirot TV series, and absolutely loved Kenneth Branaghs version. Saw it in theater, and knew I wanted it on Blu Ray when it came out. BestBuy had it for a great price. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the Digital Copy is NOT 4K, only HD. Not an issue with the copy BestBuy is selling, it's just how this studio sells their 4K movies. A tad disappointing.

Murder on the Orient Express is well adapted film based the classic Agatha Cristie story with a excellent cast assembled for the various characters all stuck on a train when a murder takes place. Kenneth Branagh directs and stars as detective Hercules Poirot who pieces together the elements of the crime to determine the perpetrator. The 4k Blu-ray looks and sounds great and with luck more of the adventures of Poirot from other Christie novels will find their way to modern film adaptions.

Well done, well paced, well acted. A good film for the mystery fans and the Anglophiles out there. Similar in feel to British detective series. Branagh does a great job in this adaptation, the casting is well done, and the story just keeps rolling down the rails. As for the picture, this is very nice in 4K HDR, although in some of the early scenes, you can kind of tell that the backdrops are CGI. It isn’t major but is noticeable at this resolution.

Agatha Christie's celebrated success. Kenneth Branagh does an excellent job of staring and directing. A star-studded cast with beautiful backdrops and clever timing. Changes to the original to keep it fresh and interesting for those who have seen different versions. This movie is an excellent addition to your movie library.

Phenomenal movie, I watched Death on the Nile and found out that there was a "prequal" So ya boi had to pick it up. what I love best about these movies is that you can never guess who done it, but the end of this one threw me for a loop. I highly recommended for any lover of "who-done-it" movies!

THIS IS A VERY GOOD RENDITION OF "MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS". IT HOLDS UP WELL AGAINST THE 1974 VERSION. THERE'S ENOUGH TWISTS AND TURNS TO MAKE THIS FILM FRESH. IT'S THOUGHLY ENJOYABLE WITH A GREAT CAST OF CHARACTERS.

This is a beautifully done version of Agatha Christie's classic murder mystery. This native 4K transfer is amazing to behold and the movie is a lot of fun. They don't make 'em like this any more and I'm looking forward to next year's Death On The Nile.

I'm a longtime Poirot fan from back in the Peter Ustinov days. Until now, I couldn't imagine anyone better than David Suchet, but Kenneth Branagh's interpretation is extremely well done. I'm looking forward to the followup, "Death on the Nile". The 4k transfer is also exceptional.

A great remake on a classic Agatha Christie movie. Not only is the story compelling and filled with some unexpected twists, the cinematography is OUTSTANDING. The richness of the photography, framing of the shots, and overly compelling views are breathtaking. Something as simple as an overhead view from above the cabin and hallway in the train shows the real feel of the train (and the decor with cut glass, art deco lites is astounding).
