a nice romance comedy Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore very fun

First of all, Jason Buchanan of All Movie Guide, while giving the description of the movie does not seem to have seen the movie! "A professional collaboration between a popular lyricist and a washed-up musician...." Music and Lyrics is NOT about a "popular lyricist and a washed-up musician". Barrymore's character was a frustrated writer/plant-care-taker whose confidence was undermined by her college writing professor. The collaboration was pure accidental, which leads to the merry chase of trial and error in writing a song and beginning romance. Although light-hearted, there is an underlying message reminding you life is a ride--you take the chances to enjoy the ride or you can play it safe and just exist. The music is enjoyable and the rock videos reminiscent of the 80's are hysterical. As a plus, I was pleasantly surprised to witness Barrymore & Grant's singing!

This movie is about a has-been 80's pop icon (Hugh Grant) that is faced with the task of writing a song for pop diva "Cora". His mildly-eccentric plant lady (Drew Barrymore) becomes his lyricist and they find themselves falling for each other. Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore are GREAT together as they have genuine chemistry! The songs are beautiful and catchy and you'll find yourself humming or singing the tunes long after you've watched the movie! Fantastic romantic-comedy with emotion and a great soundtrack! I recommend this to everyone!

The first time I saw this movie, was at my friend's birthday party. She said it was a good movie and I said Okay, let's watch it. But in my heart, I was thinking it was stupid. I mean... What kind of title is Music and Lyrics? But during the movie, I had a change of Heart. The music in the movie is catchy and fun. It really reminds you of the 80's. I was totally in love with the songs, so after the party, I went straight to Best Buy and bought it!

The King and Queen of romantic comedies Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore team up for this funny take on the music industry. Hugh and Drew have great chemistry and they are really good together, probably better than her and Adam Sandler. The script is good, Hugh gets the best lines that either make you smile or laugh out loud. The buying point for this movie is the music, from the 80s pop to current love ballads the music is the best part of this movie and a great reason to pick this DVD up.

Music and Lyrics is a lovely movie that will always be my favorite. This movie is not for young children but doesn't have any nudity or bad parts! The acting was sincere and I would recomend this to anyone that I know or meet!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The music was fun & the music video was hillarious! Hugh Grant & Drew Barrymore were great. Who new Hugh could sing?! Great to watch when you need a pick me up. Definitely recommend.

This movie is purely good, great romantic comedy that warms the heart and make you laugh. One of the better chick flicks i've sat through.
