I bought because someone said it was great by the pool. I can see by the way the speakers are situated, that it would be loud enough- but having to run an extension cord to have this playing towards my house/not the neighbors sucks. for this price point it should either be wireless or not come up when you search wireless speakers.

I guess I didn’t read the description close enough. It’s much bigger than I was expecting and it is not cordless. We still love it though. It’s very easy to transport, easy to connect to your devices, just plain easy to use.

Thank you for purchasing the MX-T40 Sound Tower and for your review. With 300 watts of power and bi-directional speakers, you can fill the room with sound. Download the Sound Tower App to adjust the built-in LED lighting, sound effects, and your EQ settings directly from your smartphone.
Regarding the Bluetooth Multi Connection, make sure both devices have gone through the initial Bluetooth pairing process before attempting to connect them both at the same time.
1) Press and hold the PAIRING button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds to enter the “BT PAIRING” mode or press the PAIRING button on the rear panel of the Sound Tower.
2) On your device, select “[ AV ] MX-T40” from the list that appears.
- When the Sound Tower is connected to the Bluetooth device, [Bluetooth Device Name] → “BT” appears in the front display.
Once both devices have gone through the initial Bluetooth pairing process you should be able to take advantage of the Multi-Connection feature allowing you and your friend to connect and pair two mobile devices simultaneously without disconnecting.
