Ok yes kids much watch this movie I got all three just missing another one best buy didn't have.

Absolutely love the movie. The disc is great shape. The movie was brand new and not even open.

Many of you may be wondering the same thing I was when these releases hit stores. Are these Blu-rays an upgrade over the Disney releases? They are, in my opinion. However, are they worth purchasing again? Probably not. But, for hardcore fans, maybe. Here's why. First, picture quality. GKIDS has completed new 4K scans for these Blu-rays. In my opinion, it shows. The image is a bit cleaner. The details and colors do differ in some respects from the Disney releases. In comparing some scenes from Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, and Princess Mononoke, I prefer the GKIDS releases. Is it a huge difference? No. But it is there. The reds are more intense and look red, not orange. And in Nausicaaa, the colors differ in scenes from the Disney Blu-rays. Actual color grading differences. Plus, the GIDS releases have more shadow details. The packaging and presentation on these releases tops Disney's with ease. The slipcovers are beautiful, with many of the releases using the same artwork as previous releases, with some exceptions, like Princess Mononoke. I also prefer the Nausicaa art here over Disney's. Each release is in a quality keepcase (not eco case) with art inside the back cover, so that when you open the case, you see a beautiful image from the film. The discs have art on them as well. I prefer the design on the GKIDS discs over Disney's, although, the Disney DVDs sometimes had very nice art as well. Lastly, the GKIDS releases also come with a small booklet that has some art and words from the creators behind the films. The menus on the GKIDS releases fall short of the Disney releases. They are not animated. There is no music. But, they are clean and simple. It would have been nice to have at least had music playing in the background like the Disney releases. Some releases include new extras. Many, if not all, extras from the Disney releases are ported over, but some may not be HD, as is the case on Nausicaa. As you can see from the descriptions, the Disney dubs are ported over to these releases as well. Plus, you get Japanese audio tracks, although, I have not confirmed if these are the original Japanese audio tracks, as I know that was a problem on some previous releases. Overall, I prefer the GKIDS Blu-rays, but if you have the Disney releases, you probably should save your money. However, if you're like me and you love the films and want the best presentation possible (video and packaging) and you find them on good sale, like they were on release at Best Buy, then it may be worth it to you.

I Absolutely Love this movie for its beautiful story and artwork and the fun Adventures Satsuke and Mei have with Totoro and their dad and the cat bus, and I really loved the voice actors and actresses, Satsuke and Mei and their dad move into an old country house and wait for their mother to get well, and Satsuke and Mei explore the house and the forest and encounter friendly and playful spirits like soot sprites and Totoro and a cat bus

Bought this before i found out about the metal cases but I absolutely love studio g and have so many dvd’s and merch from the series. I did hand the regular studio g cases to my little sister so it didn’t go to waste :)

I’ve been a fan of Studio Ghibli for a long time and owned a lot of the DVDs/Blu Rays that Disney brought over from Ghibli and even if I already owned the Disney versions I still got the GKids ones. I believe GKids has a great respect for the movies and add a lot to something already amazing, the booklets, different subtitles and language options make it eaSier for these to reach a wider audience.

I am a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki, you can tell this is one of his early work. I find some scene very similar to clips from spirited away, it's a very cute movie. I think making this movie is what help spirited away became the amazing movie that it is today. Every amazing work starts somewhere and gets better overtime. The blue ray works great considering it's an old filim. It's great for it's sell price

One of my all time favorite animated movies now on Blu-ray was a deal I couldn’t miss. I’m happy to have picked this up from Best Buy!

I have been slowly building a collection of anime DVDs/BlueRays for my kids. They absolutely loved My Friend Totoro, the animation, art and story. It prompted numerous discussions as to what Totoro is (my daughter guessed correctly), and the meaning behind the story. A great family film, one that sparks imaginative discussion.

Please keep physical alive! Streaming services crop and edit, we need a source for the original

My two girls love this movie. The quality of the case, Blu-ray disc, and the DVD itself looks great.

My first impression seeing the movie left me to wonder how it will be if Tim Burton did this film. It had the wierdness I quite enjoy in any movie to be mysterious, engaging, and fun at the same time to watch look forward to more of this and many others like it.

This is my first studio Ghibli movie. I wasn't sure what to expect. It's not a Disney movie but it was quite interesting and fun. It may not be for anyone, but if you have an open mind, give it a chance.

Classic, fun, relaxing movie full of great animation

This is one of the quintessential anime that is synonymous with both Studio Ghibli and anime. While simple and lacking conflict, it makes up for it in cuteness and nostalgia. This blu ray demonstrates these attributes greatly.

My kids love this movie. Wonderful story about the magic world that children experience. The English voice over seemed as natural as if it were the original language. My family will watch this blu ray for years to come.

Excellent family movie! One of the best studios around created this film. considering it was made in 1988, it still holds a candle to animations that are created by todays standards. Highly recommend this film.

Bought this for my 5-year-old daughter who is in love with Spirited Away, and she LOVES it. We've watched this countless times already. Whether you like that or not depends on if youre a ghibli fan, luckily I am!
