My So-Clled Life is probably my all-time favourite television show and I wasn't even around when it was actually on TV. Okay, that's not entirely true.. but I was busy being 5 years old. One night at like 4am I couldn't sleep and was flipping through channels and happened to land on The "N" which was airing re-runs of the show.. and after that night I would set my alarm for 3:45am so that I would be up in time to watch it from then on. Angela Chase is probably the only fictional character that I could ever really relate to, and I still can. Claire Dane's just made her so real and imperfect that I fell in love. It was almost freaky how some of the things she said came straight from my own mind, but she said them better and made me realize so much. And of course, Jordan Catalano (aka Jared Leto) made me melt a little. This show really makes you care about the characters. All of them. Angela's parents are just as relevant as the younger characters only they are an actual married couple with problems that don't seem to far fetched. And Rickie has my heart, I wish I had a friend like him. I'm sort of obsessed with the 90s so that's also a plus. I love seeing all the clothes and hearing all the music. Plus this show always takes place during fall or winter and I love that. It gives me the most comforting feeling to just put this show on whenever, I can't really explain it, but I feel at home. I couldn't believe it when I saw the entire DVD collection in the Best Buy flyer a few years ago because I had looked into it online and everywhere said that it was discontinued. I will never understand how and why this show was canceled because it was so good and so beautiful and made you think. It touched on so many relative points and is one of the only shows that actually seems realistic. You definetly should pick this up before they're gone cause I'm sure they won't make it forever. My favourite episodes are definetly "Guns and Gossip," "The Zit," "Why Jordan Can't Read," "Self-Esteem," "Pressure," and "Life of Brian."

This is one my favorite and most memorable shows of the 90's. This show came out when I was in junior high. Every girl I knew watched this show and LOVED it. I cannot count how many times I've seen each episode. My all-time favorite episodes were 'So-called Angels' & 'Halloween'. In my mind, Claire Danes will always be Angela & Jared Leto will always be Jordan Catalano. Since MTV never shows music videos anymore, they should start airing reruns of this show again. Their ratings would probably skyrocket!! I would absolutely recommend owning the DVD collection to anyone who loved the show.

This nuanced and sweet series was gone after only 19 episodes, far too short a run for a story of it's richness and quality. There are few shows that can make you feel for their characters as though they are real people you live near, that years after they are gone you wonder what happened to them next. This is one of those shows. Now it's being re-released on DVD, this time with the attention to detail and the extras that the first set lacked. This is a definite buy.

This is one show that showed what truly went on in high schools in the 90's. It showed how the average 15 year old girl felt and thought. It made the girls going through all this feel normal. It also brings back many memories to those who lived through that era in high school! This was released on DVD back in 2002, but was only out for a short time. I'm glad to see they brought it back!

The box set contains every episode of the greatest, most realitistic teen drama ever made, but it also has a fun to read color book and an extra disc of enjoyable bonus features. Watching this series all these years later, I can remember what it is like to be that age again. The writing nails being a teenager like no other show.

I really loved this show. As a teenager around the time this came out, it really helped me to level on some of the hardships of trying to fit in. It hit the nail on the head and I really wished people would have been more open about the show to let it run for more than one season.

My So Called Life is a show that acturately depicts what life is like as a teenage girl. At least it did for me! I am so glad that they re-released this show on DVD! The DVD has several added bonuses that are wonderful for every fan!
