I had some idea what I was getting myself into when I added this movie to my order. It was decently done, although the costume and set departments deserve much additional praise for their art design work. And the soundtrack, which I did not purchase, has some fantastic music on it, especially the disco tunes. Still somehow I felt let down at the end, as if there was more to the story than what appeared on the screen...maybe the missing elements somehow ended up on the "cutting room floor," although in today's digital era, that phrase won't mean anything to people.

A cast of would be super heroes band together to form a formidable crew that is barely safe from their own foibles. It's a riotous mess as the team does their best to conquer real and imagined evils.

This is one of those sleeper hits that you wish you saw in the theater when it first came out! one of those crazy comedies that will help to take your mind off of day to day stress. that's why comedies should be funny, and MYSTERY MEN delivers! a welcome escape from reality. this is another Ben Stiller classic comedy that should not be overlooked! and it goes without saying that this should be seen for the first time in the blu ray format. i love it when producers take the extra effort to make sure they have a good script before they begin filming. this is a masterpiece of comedy, and will not disappoint you. so if you haven't seen this before than i highly recumbent this blu ray at a great price. get it before it is sold out!!!

This movie was a little early as far as parodies go. At the time of release, there were only a handful of comic book movies: Superman, Batman, and X-Men. That being said, after the Marvel and DC movies are on their way, it's nice to just have a spoof at the whole genre. The characters are great and the actor choice was spot-on. Get this for a fun Friday night with the family!

Decent movie I remember watching this as a kid so I decided to add it to the collection

As a collector of blu-rays, I absolutely love this blu-ray of Mystery Men. Thank you Best Buy for selling this blu-ray and making it available to collectors like myself. This is a classic from when I was a kid and it's finally on Blu Ray after all these years. A really underated comedy that takes the superhero genre and shows the not so glamorous side of it.

Ben Stiller as Mr. Furious do I need to say more?? This is a movie made before its time. If it come out today, it would rock the box office based on the over production of those superhero movies!! Oh yeah, Paul Rubin as the spleen equals GENIUS!! You will have to see it to find out his superpower. We will just say it is intoxicating.

This movie remains entertaining no matter how many times I watch it; some of the jokes even get funnier. It is a great vehicle for an interesting ensemble cast - even actors I don't care for, like Ben Stiller. One of Hank Azaria's best roles, and makes great use of Tom Waites' unique style and talent. Superheros for people who don't like superheros ... "The Shoveler is hammered!"

This movie is good tongue in cheek fun. A little slapstick and is worth the time to watch.

It’s not the best but it’s a classic comedy that will give you a few good laughs

This comedy spoof follows a team of far-from-super heroes as they try to overcome their shortcomings and earn respect. Champion City is kept safe by the brave and dashing Captain Amazing, but when he disappears, the Mystery Men spring into action.

Decent riff on the superhero genre. Would be interesting to see a sequel now with all the superhero content. If you like Ben Stiller films I'd say this one is average. It's not great, but it's an interesting enough of a concept to keep it from becoming forgettable.

A movie ahead of its time. Would probably be a blockbuster today with the girth of superhero movies....

Super happy Best Buy had this gem from my childhood. Just as silly and stupid as it was meant to be 22 years ago.

It's too bad this is in the $5 bin these days, but customers are lucky for it and have no excuse for not owning it. A great movie, very quote-worthy.

A great comedy based on a graphic novel and rife with cameos, from Michael Bay to CeeLo. Ahead of its time.

Mystery Men is a forgot hit, great actors, great story, with some really funny comedy.

Great family movie. Very entertaining. kids love it.
