The Nanit Plus is a great monitor and camera system for your baby. Easy to setup and you get a full view of the crib. The night vision works perfectly with clear, crisp video. You can set notifications for motion and sound and adjust the sensitivity of the alerts. The ability to leave sound streaming in the background on your phone means you don’t need a separate video monitor and can just use your phone. The Insights is what makes this monitor smart. Logging of your baby’s movements, sleeping times, etc. are helpful. You get a year free which is great, but then are required to pay for this service if you wish to continue. The major complaint I have with the system is that there is no option to setup the camera to the left or right of the crib. You must set it up at the head or foot to work properly. Overall, although more expensive than most other monitors, the features and quality this camera provide are worth the cost.

I am not new to being a mom, so I have used no monitor or very simple monitors. With my last child I wanted everything that I didn’t have with my previous children, we are a big tech gadget family so I was exited to be using a product like this. Pro: futuristic, technology driven, minimalist design, user friendly, peace of mind. Cons: I have noticed some delay, it’s supposed to notify you of movement and I have seen about a 5 min delay on the notification, which for a new mom might be a problem. The camera doesn’t move around. But overall I do like this, the picture quality is better than I have had before with other brands, having it right from my phone is a plus, the price is right there with all the best monitors out there. Having it right over my baby’s crib vs on a dresser or having to mount it on the wall to get a good view of your baby is what makes this one of my favorites by far.

The coolest baby monitor on the planet!

This thing is incredible! I imagine not all parents will have the success that we had, as the baby is the X Factor. Our responded wonderfully and it really makes things easier with a restless baby. Setup is a breeze with the app. A little assembly and a connection to wifi is all it takes to get this thing up and running. It works with Amazon Alexa if you have one.
Let me start by saying that the picture quality is fantastic. You can see your baby's face clearly. The audio works great both ways. During the middle of the night, this device has proved it's mettle. When the baby wakes up, we are able to sooth it sometimes just with voice and music. Sure, it maybe only soothes the baby 3 times out of 10, but hey, that is 3 times you don't have to get out of bed! And when you do have to get out of bed, the monitor has a great night light to help with those 3 am diaper changed!
The app has a pay feature that supposedly tracks your baby's sleep habits. We are in the trial period, and don't think it works very well so we will not be subscribing. All in all though, this thing is a home run!!

For our oldest, we tried several different baby monitors but ended up using an Arlo system as a monitor. Which worked well and we loved the video quality and ability to view the video feed from our phones anywhere. But for the second, we got the Nanit which is a different tool altogether. It's purely designed to function as a baby monitor, so it does its job very well, but you can't double it up as a room monitor from what I can tell. The stand looks like a sleek lampstand, so it fits in with the baby decor. The stand's designed to fix the camera to look directly down on your baby giving you a clear view of purely the baby. Sound quality is good, and everything feels nice and sturdy.
So if you want a monitor that can be versatile and used as the baby grows, then this isn't for you. But if you want the best baby monitor for the time period, then get this.

I Have a Newborn grandaughter and an Alexa show. This device allows me to view the monitor on the show as well as the app on my phone. What more could you ask? Well, I'm glad you asked. It has a motion sensor, a great microphone very clear and sharp imaging and wala, you have the Nanit. I am still getting used to the sleep data and I am sure there are features I am missing. in this review. But after 1.5 weeks of use, I am just floored by this product. Really is an amazing product. You can mount it on a wall or can come with a floor stand. I have tested it with the floor stand and it works great. I will recommend this to all my kids, family and friends. 2018 Best Inventions by Time Magazine of the year awards

At first glance, this is a nice baby monitor. But the Nanit Plus Smart Baby Monitor & Floor Stand is so much more. The nightlight on the head of the camera is a welcome feature. Also, the incorporated sensors that detect room temperature and humidity are amazing in helping keep baby comfortable. The companion App itself is amazing. The babys sleep patterns and habits or also tracked to help you get baby comfortable for better sleep. It also gives you tips, This camera is a definite great addition to any nursery.

Great Camera Monitor, But Paid Monitoring

So, overall this is a great baby monitor. The camera is detailed and holds up in dark rooms, the wide-angle makes it easy to keep track of your babe, and the setup and slimness make it perfect for over the crib.
The design of this camera/stand is great: everything, including wires, is held together by sturdy construction and piping and is quick to put together.
The camera is accessed via a downloadable app. You must create an account to do so. From here, you can view the camera's live feed, which is only delayed by half-a-second, at most. I found this to be great, as my other two monitors are not as fast.
That said, sometimes, since this is wi-fi and internet-based, the connection could drop or freeze up. It doesn't happen often, but can, and happened probably three times during the week.
The biggest drawbacks, though, are the infrared lights and paid monitoring methods. In order to truly get the most out of your Nanit, you must pay for a membership to access the sleep data from your baby.
Now, some people may not have a problem with this, but I thought that a free year or even 6-months, is better than the 30-days they give you. Overall, it's really just a beautiful camera system without the monitoring activated.
Also. if your baby is like mine, they'll be able to see some of the red lights on when in the dark. There are a lot of them, needed to make the picture quality good I'd imagine, but that means more to look at.
All this said it's still a great system. The paid membership does actually provide valuable data and insights on your baby, and the product does seem like a quality investment.

This baby monitor is absolutely fantastic. It's very easy to install and set up and it stays connected to the internet without issues. It's a small thing, but I also really like the fact that the stand tips glow in the dark!

My wife and I decided to go with the Nanit+ after seeing it at the top of virtually every parenting/baby site’s “best of” list. It does have some really cool features. Honestly, we’d be really happy with it if it weren’t for one issue: It loses connection with our wireless network several times a night. It’s not easy to re-pair either. As a WiFi-connected monitor, the issue is pretty much game-breaking. (And no, it’s not an issue with router placement)
Tonight, I finally get our baby to sleep after an hour-long battle, come downstairs to pull the monitor up on my phone to find it has disconnected. To re-pair, you have to push a small button on the camera itself which prompts the built-in night light to flash as it searches for your network. (Which, btw, is the absolute worst when you’re trying to be discrete over top of a sleeping baby.)
We’ve been working with Nanit support for maybe three weeks now and ultimately just requested a replacement. Hopefully this one works better and I can update this review with 5-stars.
