It really is just another Ninja Storm game but if you’re a fan of the series that actually may not be the worst. I mostly bought for the larger roster, portability, and new story.

This is my first Ninja Storm game, let alone the first Naruto game I’ve ever played, so I didn’t know what to expect. What I didn’t expect was a set of combat mechanics so detailed and intense that it took a few days of practice and tutorial-reading to wrap my head around it all. Maybe I was underestimating how good of a battle system these games have, but I wasn’t expecting a fighting system with such depth and nuance.

I mean I’m happy to get a new naruto game overall. I wish all the Boruto character (Konoha 12 besides Sasuke and Naruto) got updated movesets and new final cutscenes. I hope later on they will add more development into the game like more team ultimate jutsu, adventure mode, being able to play with friends online, and other small tweaks. I recommend getting this game when it’s on sale though since there’s not enough content that makes it $60 in my eyes.

It's not as bad as everyone says, but then again, I did get it 6 months after launch. I've actually had fun with it. THAT said, it still has flaws with the online, like how expensive the in-game items you have constantly grind for, the fact that they locked some dlc behind higher priced tiers (like the Kakashi unmasked skin is in the Deluxe edition and wedding outfits for Sakura, Ino and TenTen as well as Minato and Kushina's genin outfits in the Ultimate Edition which is $90. Since when did Bandai Namco become Japanese EA?
I suggest waiting for a sale on this one.

It's a visually stunning fighting game that faithfully captures the anime's essence. With a vast roster, spectacular battles, and a compelling story mode, it's a must-play for fans. However, repetitive mechanics and limited innovation may deter some gamers."

Storyline, gameplay, and engagement. My kid loves this game, and he's a huge fan of the anime, we play together on the weekends and has not touched any other game since we got this

This game, I thought was going to be more so of a fighting game but it ended up surprising me with more story line too. Overall happy with the purchase.
