This was a spur of the moment purchase after having watched Christmas Vacation during Christmastime. I purchased it online. Very easy & quick. Delivery was earlier than expected. Needless to say, we enjoyed watching this Blast from the Past film!!

I have purchased this movie for all my nieces and nephews for gifts. I laugh at this movie every time I watch it.

SNL legend Chevy Chase wants to take the family on a cross country vacation to Wally World in California. This is where the trouble, but fun for the audience begins. From purchasing the new car to having to take an unwanted relative along for the ride to all the adventure in between to finally arriving at the destination to unexpected results. A great supporting cast includes Eugene Levy and John Candy. Superb direction by Harold Ramis. This is one Vacation you won't want to miss.

It's still a very funny movie, even with all the dated references. The extras aren't the greatest in the world: commentary, an introduction and a featurette gallery. But I only really wanted the movie and the price was fantastic at the time, so those things weren't all that important to me. The picture quality is quite good. As I bought a DVD and watched it on a Blu-ray player on a 1080p TV, it definitely beats the image quality the first time I saw it on television back in 1984. On a less important note, my copy did not have the same cover art as what is shown (Boris Vallejo painting). Mine is a fairly crude composite shot of Chevy Chase, the family truckster flying overhead and the desert in the background.

I can truly say that nowadays, some remakes and sequels are better than those of the past. In this case, not only was the 2015 sequel not that great, it was also up against an epic instant classic and original. This Chevy and Beverly hit brought a whole new take on satire that redefined the entire outlook on comedy in film.

I've seen this film approximately 30 to 40 times in my life, and I never get tired of it. Boneheaded, but well meaning father, Clark Griswold, driving his wife and two kids on a cross country family vacation, from Chicago to a California theme park, to spend time with all of them, before the kids are too old for such things.

This movie will never grow in my household. Out all the movies in this franchise to me this is the funniest. My 11 year old was laughing so hard. This has brought so many memories of my childhood back watching this film.

I have to think there can't be many people who have not seen this movie but for those of you who have not this is a must see.Chevy Chase and the entire cast are at their best.This movie is as much fun as you can ever have.The Blu-Ray transfer is good the audio is just OK but the new documentary is a little repetitive but very good.

This is an absolute must see for any comedy fan. One of Chevy Chase's best roles. The blu-ray is good as it can be considering the movie's age. It has a full commentary with the director and several of the main cast members. Also a retrospective feature with interviews from all of the cast.

This movie will always be considered a great because of how easy it is for most family's to relate to the classic road trip vacation and the crazy antics that happen during them. Bought this during a black Friday sale for next to nothing so it was impossible to pass up.

The start of them all! This movie is absolutely hilarious from beginning to end. No vacation goes perfectly and this movie tries to explore every hilarious reason it won't! It reminds me of my family's vacation road trips every summer. What memories this movie brings back for me.

Along with the movie, the DVD includes a campy documentary about the making of the film, which I found fun to watch, and included some cute factoids, such as the growth spurt Anthony Michael Hall (Rusty) had between shooting the main movie and shooting the re-written ending.

Quite possibly it's my sentimentality speaking but I'd rather watch this movie for the umpteenth time than most of the generic comedies put out today and you get the bonus of a feature length documentary on the making of this classic with this bluray edition!

NL Vacation is a classic and one of the best in this series. The price is right on this (I think it was about $4). The movie follows the comedic mishaps of the Griswold family on their cross country road trip to Wally World. The only thing I kinda kicked myself for is that there is another multipack that has Vacation and European Vacation in it for a couple bucks more. Overall though this is a classic comedy that stands the test of time and is great for kicking off the summer.

I’ve seen this movie many times and enjoy it every time. I quote lines from this film quite often. Makes me want to take a trip to Wally World!

What can be said about this film that hasn't already been said. The Blu-ray Disc version is awesome! Crisp and clean just like it was in the theater. If you're looking to upgrade this is the one! Pretty cool bonus features too!

What can I say about Vacation that any red-blooded american born before yesterday doesn't already know? It's just as funny and silly as the first time I saw it decades ago and blu ray has only made it that much better!

Sorry, folks! We're closed for two weeks to clean and repair America's favorite family fun park. Sorry, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh! I mean, who collects movies and doesn't get this 80's classic? MUST OWN.

Doesn't get better than Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo on vacation with their kids and crazy cousin Eddie. Always a funny movie and great time for the whole family.

National Lampoon's Vacation is a classic. Chevy Chase is great as Clark Griswold. It is the first of the Griswold vacation movies and introduces the characters. This is great to watch when you need some laughs.
