I got this to make things easier and found that it made things harder. It did not sync to their cloud as indicated. Three techs have worked on my computer for over 5 hours to no resolve. I have yet to get anything resolved. You are better just using Evernote as your scanner and your sync account. Wished it really worked :(.

I was not pleased with this Neat product. It took many trys online to try & download the software. You must have the Internet running at all times to use. Not user friendly. I needed a scanner that would scan without having to use the Internet being connected all the time. I had no options but to return this product.

As the Director of IT for a large medical company, my familiarity with these products is quite extensive. I decided to give Neat a try given their success with other commercial companies but was extremely disappointed to see that they have discontinued support for all local scanning software. This means that users will now only receive support if they use the Cloud version of the software which I find to be concerning. My company scans files that must remain HIPAA compliant and encrypted throughout the process. We have dedicated servers that store our documents and we scan directly to these servers. Using the desktop software from NEAT we were able to do this but being that they are no longer supporting it, the default is to now scan to the "Cloud". More disturbing that this is that they will start charging for it. Sure you can manually tell the system to scan to a local folder but this is not a feature that is saved. You must set this each time you scan. Furthermore, the Cloud software does not recognize shared drives like the desktop software therefor it is useless. Cloud is great but not when their cannot get their act together. Oh, and if you attempt to call them, unless you are paying for support, you cannot talk to anyone. So that 30 day free trial is worthless. I created two support tickets and never heard from anyone. Today is day 25..I just returned three of these back to Best Buy!

I truly love this scanner! It takes care of all the clutter on my computer stand from the receipts. It's a God sent!

I went from the portable NeatReceipts to this NeatDesk. The increase in functionality completely removed my buyer worries. Also, the increased processing speed and text recognition was remarkable.

Was great while it was new to the market and the software needed was free to use. Now it’s a subscription and I’m not a fan of that personally.

Although the box states this scanner is for Windows or Apple users, the apple installation is very very difficult. It took hours to figure out how to install and now that it is installed I can use it so many times and then it stops functioning properly. I have to reboot my computer to get it to work again. I would love the scanner if it just operated properly all the time. I have read it is a problem with the El Capitan operating system. I really hope it gets fixed with the new upgrade coming out in the fall.

The papers got stuck frequently slowing the process to scan. It also turned off during scans creating more paper jams and re scans... N

i have one of these in every business I own and they make my life much less stressful

Does exactly what it says. Cloud based optional storage is more user friendly than direct hard drive saves.

This is a wonderful way to help file and track all of our expenses and to be able to go back to them without going through a lot of paperwork

I love working with this scanner and Its fast. The only thing is I get some errors occasionally.

Easy to install works great with all size receipts

This is the second neat desk I have owned. The first one wore out and it cost more to repair than to buy new. Since we began scanning our receipts, the number of boxes having to be stored has dropped dramatically. Neat is easy to set up and easy to use. Great for the small office that wants to go paperless

I noticed that the product hammed frequently if using more than 15 files at a time. The software is not very user friendly.

Product works as advertised. Easy to use.organizes all my receipts.

Its amazing I run a small business and was able to get rid of the envelopes and envelopes of receipts.

Beware of the hidden costs with this scanner. First of all, there is no printed manual of any type with this scanner, even a basic overview or quick start. You would think that a manual would be available online but it is not. Also, this scanner is designed to get you to pay an ongoing monthly fee for storage of your data. I have a philosophy that I never pay for my data so obviously, this was not the scanner for me. While it appears there is a way to get your documents stored on your computer and I did try it, they make it cumbersome and labor-intensive. Viewing your document once scanned is also difficult and appears in a small window making it difficult to review. All in all, not very impressive so I will return it.
