This is a great robot vacuum for the money. Would highly recommend.

The vacuum worked well and had good suction power. However it would disconnect from the network after about five or ten minutes of cleaning and stop in its tracks. It never returned to the charging dock. Also neato's support was terrible and did not help in troubleshooting the device whatsoever.

So this is my first robot sweeper/vacuum and I use it on my hardwood floors. The Good: It does pick up stuff. The other: It gets stuck alot, and it seems to navigate to my area rug and will stay in that area longer than anywhere else. I also can't tell it to dock mid-cleaning. If you can buy this for $100-$150 it's worth it but for $400-$500 I expected more.

I tried the base model last year, two of them actually as I exchanged the first hoping it was just a bad device. After the second failed to the same issue I returned it too. It seems this product has some fairly annoying bugs in it still and is always getting "stuck" on nothing or has great difficulty navigating seemingly simple (rectangular) rooms with no obstacles. I watched mine for 20 min go in small circles in the same corner before going dead and requiring I replace it on the charger. Prior to this I came home to it in stuck mode on a simple corner again. I've seen more "I'm stuck" or other problem notifications since I bought it two days ago than "I'm finished cleaning". Once it said it was finished and didn't even bother returning to the base. At the MSRP of $600 I could NEVER recommend this product to anyone asit's been more of a hassle than manual vacuuming at this point.

My wife mentioned getting one of the robotic vacuums and I never thought I would consider it! I own 2 dysons and now I own this Neato D5 and love it! Picks up pet hair, wife's hair, dog food, and about everything that gets in its way. I love mine so much I use it 2-3 times weekly. The dirt bin is easy to empty and filters are only $30 for 2 when they need changing! I don't use the set schedule feature because with a small dog i never know where he leaves his toys at. It usually takes around 35-40 mins to vacuum 400-450 square feet but does a really good job and one less thing i have to do! Only thing is on hard floors its kinda loud compared to carpet but if I'm home Ill tun the volume on the TV up a few clicks. Im debating buying a second one for my upstairs area now! I would recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a robotic vacuum!!
