Loved this movie, first for the wonderful Dad/son relationship - a tough relationship that the film shows thawing out. Then there is the rest of the dysfunctional family - whew! The black and white is a great counterpoint to the plot, and enhances the noir Midwest feel of the plot.

Alexander Payne is very hit or miss for me. Loved Sideways and Election, didn't love About Schmidt or The Descendants. This is one of his better efforts. Black and white looks great on blu ray.

This movie takes a long look at many human interactions: the relationships between youth and elders, dreams versus realities, greed versus kindness, the power of determination, etc. All in black and white, no less. A very powerful and moving experience.

I was uncertain of movie after watching. A few days later, I made a long trip to south central Nebraska. I was invited to visit a VFW, after that the movie made sense to me.

This movie shows what its like to live and grow old in rural Nebraska. It has a very believable story and I saw so many people I know, including myself, within the characters of the story. I've lived in Nebraska all my life, so far.

This move captures the family live of time in the good old days and brings out the problems when family members get old and there memory fails in a fun way and how they deal with the father, and enjoy a family trip.

Kind of a slow moving plot but with great acting by Bruce Dern. I was disappointed that the film is black & white but could relate to the subject matter very well.

I am a film critic and I own over more than 400 DVDs and Blu Rays, I loved this movie and the combo pack. This is an excellent movie and a powerhouse of acting along with an excellent deal price when I bought this. You can't go wrong!

Alexander Payne's movies (Sideways, The Descendants) take simple premises and and flesh them out with unexpected humor and a remarkable sense of reality. Nebraska is another exceptional movie that engages the viewer on so many levels.

I enjoyed the movie . At times it was a bit slow moving, but when you came back to the subject and the acting, you can not take that away from the total movie

Anyone from a small town or living in the midwest will relate to this movie. It covers lots of feelings - humor, sadness, family relations (up & down),. It may be called "Nebraska", but it's a story about life.

What a unique performance by a stellar cast. Not like any other movie. Watch this if you're looking for something different and humorous.

Moves a bit slowly, but so does the old man. It describes the development of a father-son relationship over a few weeks. Love the finale.

My son recommended this award nominated movie. It is in Black & white and beautifully filmed. I would recommend this movie, superb acting.

The actors in this film work very well together. Filming in black & white was a solid idea. The film is the perfect mix of drama & comedy.

Easterners tend not to "get" this story, but anyone with roots in the "Heartland" will recognize the situation and the people and will laugh and cry until you can't stand any more!

Wanted to see this fine actor's performance. Was not disappointed. Hope to see more of his work. The rest of the ensemble of actors did a fine job. Liked the final ride through hometown.

It's always interesting to see a black and white movie these days. More often than not they seem to justify their existence as more than just a gimmick. That holds true here.

Enjoyed this film tremendously. It's a movie about family dyanmics and an adventure between father and son. Some very nice comedic moments and a great cast to keep you engaged.

Watched this film in the theater and decided to own it. Want family and friends to see it.
