Enjoyed this game even though I didn't play the original. Combat is fun and the music is nice.

I have been waiting for a World Ends With You sequel since I finished the Nintendo DS version of this game. This game is extremely fun, the battles are fun, you pretty much are using every button on the controller, the X button is the least used button in a battle, it is only used to dodge attacks, lots of great music, especially the song Last Call which is played during a big boss battle in the game which was also extremely fun. There are lots of fun unique boss battles in the game, I played the whole game on Hard mode after you unlocked the feature and the game was still too easy, still fun but too easy. My biggest complaint is that the game doesn't keep track of how long you have been playing. The game is in English which is great, the only other problem I had that doesn't have to do with gameplay is the use of way too many slang words, you often had to stop playing and look up the word or text message to see what it means so you know what the character meant. Overall this is a great game, a must buy for anyone, highly recommended.

If you're a fan of the first game from way back in 2007 or the re-release on Switch, you'll like this game. Same art style now on the bigger screen, in 4k if you have a 4k TV. I'm about half way in through the story and it doesn't seem like you need to 100% play the first game to enjoy the story, but it does make certain story elements more enjoyable.

It's been so long since The World Ends With You on Nintendo DS, but NEO does so much right to preserve the aesthetics of the first game, while expanding the gameplay and world-building in so many ways. Characters are entertaining, graphics are full of style, soundtrack is stellar, combat is intense, fun, and rewarding...if you loved the original game, this is a must-play and one of this year's best and most memorable RPG's.

It is a very fun JRPG, but The localization is garbage, also they used a lot of social justice warrior terminologies which makes the game cringe at times. If you could ignore the cringy dialogue and focus on the gameplay then I do recommend this game as an experience. But make sure to buy the game with it’s on sale. Don’t pay 60 bucks for it.
