  • Wrong adapter

    The splitter works ok. But the wrong adapter was in the package (10-30 instead of 14-30). I needed to charge my new EV and couldn't wait for the replacement. So I got a 14-30 adapter from a local hardware store. I called best buy and I was told they couldn't give me the partial refund for the adapter, and I would have to talk to a manager in a local best buy (which is 15 miles away).

    Do not buy this product!! Firstly, they didnt send the proper adapter cable for the unit. Contacted support and they said id have to go through the reseller to maybe get a partial discount...what a joke. Now no matter what is plugged into the secondary power it wont stay on for more than a few seconds. The box clicks and a red light comes on. So im basically changing the primary plug over and over. The unit itself gets way to hot for my liking as well.

    We love the EV smart splitter!!! Before, we were unplugging the dryer to charge the EV. Now with the smart splitter, we never have to unplug the dryer again. It is definitely worth the price.

    The splitter works great out of the box even without enabling the app. The app works as well, but some of the features are not working well yet. They do appear to be actively working on improving the app with several updates per week.
