Really happy to find out I was wrong! There's a lot go umph with every shot, not to mention its pretty accurate for a "childs' toy". I actually ended up buying 3 more since my friends and I literally had a blast with them.

Resilient Nerf Rival!

It still works, which says a lot with the heavy usage it has received over time. Rival ammo is a bit tougher for the recipient, but a great way to play with Nerf!
