I originally purchased the google mini to allow my mom to google voice call me in case she fell or needed help and couldn't get to the phone. I added Phillips Hue light bulbs but had an issue with her Apple device integrating so I just purchased the Hub and an additional Mini for $99 (not sure if BB still has that promotion on). So now she has a Mini in the living room and bedroom and the Hub in the kitchen. The Hub mated flawlesly with the Phillips Hue Bridge and also gave her a nice functional screen in the room she spends the most time i.e. the kitchen. I think the google home automation eco-system is ideal for seniors like my mom who are still independent and live alone. Mom loves asking google to play songs and trivia questions...I feel better that she can ask google to call me (or a neighbor)in case of emergencies...I am thinking of adding a door lock as well.

I'm a visual person so I love having the google display. Being able to see what google tells me in addition to hearing it makes this great to me. Glad I bought this on sale though because the regular price is a bit high for my liking.

I love new gadgets and technology. I have 3 home mini's already. This product intrigued me from the start (as a lot of tech does). The only reason I purchased it though was because it was $19.99 with the purchase of Nest Cams. Even after owning it for a few weeks, I don't think I would be willing to spend more than $50 on it. The addition of the screen on a smart assistant of this size is cool because I use it as a picture frame, having photos of family and friends from my Google Photos account playing on it, which is something I have been looking for, for a few years without using an SD card. I am also able to tell it to show me the cameras that I purchased along with it, which is also pretty cool. But it is not something I sit and stare at for long periods of time, just something that I look over and see every once in a while. If you can get a good price on it, pick one up.

Great little device! Controls our lights, and tv perfectly. Plan to get a video doorbell in the future too. Will play music or show recipes, weather, etc. on command. Easy to connect and setup. Got it on sale for $99, so an even better deal! No complaints.

The product itself totally worth the price. Google assistant integrated, I don't feel the need for the one with the camera, this simply works great. Customer service was great, despite the busiest days at the store, was helpful and quick.

love having all the benefits of a Google home device combined with a beautiful picture frame. sound is good enough when listening to music, but I made it better when casting the hub to my Chromecast which I have connected to my stereo. now we don't have to tie up a phone to stream music. great little upgrade to the original Google home!

We have owned the Nest Hub for a few years now, and find it helpful to have a visual display of the response from the Google Assistant of the data, such as "hey google, what's the weather?' where a graph of the temp and cloud cover for the daytime hours is displayed. Or financial, such as "ok google, what's the Dow Jones Industrial Avg right now?' where a figure and % change is displayed, which is easier to wrap your brain around than being told a 6 digit number and percentage to two decimal place. When Best Buy had a daily deal for 2 Hubs for $100 (prior and subsequent price of $120 for one unit), we jumped to have these on hand to gift to our adult children, who also have Google "smart home" devices, Philips Hue lighting, and Nest smoke detectors, so we know they will integrate seamlessly.

The Google Hub works well. I have had it for a while and have not had any problems. The display is very good and the google assistant works well. However, not the best speaker for listening to music. I have it play music on my JBL Playlist speaker.

I wasn't expecting much when I brought this home. When I set it up I realized you can screencast to it meaning my Hulu live TV was now available in my kitchen. The screen size is more than enough and the sound will surprise you.

It is easy to set up. Easy to link with all my smart connections like Nest cameras, nest door bell, and thermostat. Great to play music on, have the weather, my schedule, etc. Plan to put smart lights in later and connect to Hub. Glad I bought it.

I really enjoy my Google home. I’ve owned minis for years now to convert my homes into smart homes and they’ve worked wonderfully. I finally opted for the display Google assistant after seeing the many more capabilities, plus after having seen that the similar echo display can play karaoke lyrics along with its music. I googled being able to do this with the Google home before purchase and all research indicated that it could. Now after owning it, I can’t seem to figure out how in the world to do it, hence my 4 stars. Aside from that, I love having all my pictures stored with Google come up. I’ve had pictures stored there for over 7 years and it’s always nice to see pictures from today, just as pictures from so long ago pop up, and Google being able to place them side by side based on facial recognition. It allows me to contemplate on how life has changed my family and I in all this time as I do the dishes. (The display sits on my window ledge over the kitchen sink) of course, it’s also very good with listening to commands. Love it!

Paired this with the nest doorbell and it’s a winning combo, love the nest hub, was a bit small so ordered a few nest hub max for the kitchen and living room Great display and sound is good for what it is

My wife and I really love this device. Comes in real handy in the kitchen when cooking and just looking up things. The visual display takes the Google Assistant to a new level of performance. I also like the idea that it does not have a camera.

I am an avid cook, always trying out new recipes from the web, especially YouTube. However, I hesitate to take my precious phone, tablet or laptop into the kitchen to look at them while cooking, lest they be damaged in the wet environment, and because they are always precariously propped up in stand position so that I can view them handsfree. The Nest Hub Smart Display with Google Assistant is the perfect kitchen companion for me! While I purchased it to help me with my culinary adventures, because I have an Android phone linked to the same account, I find myself using the find/ring my phone feature more often that I would like. Since I’ve found this easy to set up and use, home automation using this Nest Hub is next on my to do list!

I love it. I have the original Google Home, and this is just as good... except... 2 things. 1. it can only understand English right now and 2. I cannot continue speaking after a task. I have to say "OK GOOGLE' each time. I hope they get that bug fixed. other than than, I love it! it's a visual now, compared to my original so it's nice to see things!

Love this display, especially on game night when we beed to see who someone is or have a question answered (cuz no phones on game nights). Lately the update has made it so if you ask who will smith is, it will show you several pictures of him enstalead of 1. So because of this I had to move the speaker closer (annoying). Also because of more recent updates, google gives you a very descriptive answer (sometimes going on and on, not even answering the question). But that is a google issue, not a best buy, or product issue. For the display reason I am probably upgrading to the larger nest screen. Overall I love the product and works well controlling my other google devices.

I owned an Echo Dot for 2-3 years and never really used it much but loved the concept of a smart home device. Then the Google Home Hub came along. I love the fact that it can connect to my Nest Video Doorbell and show me who is there if I don’t have my phone on me. It plays music, can search the web for you and so much more. Highly recommend.

This is my first smart home device. Installation was easy and I love being able to listen to music and watch you tube videos on this device. Speaker quality is very good. Broadcasting and phone calls work work well too.

This is my 4th Google Home Hub, now called Nest Home Hub since they bought Nest. I love that it has a screen and find it helpful. The only thing it wish is that the Clock and Alarm would still work if the internet goes out and or power. I use mine as my alarm clock in the bedroom but if there is a power failure or your internet stops working the clock and alarm does not work. Other than that I love it. I have several SMART plugs and lights that make turning them on easy. Also you can do "routines" and set it up to turn on lights when you get home and turn off everything when you leave. You can play music from several streaming services or blue tooth from your phone. Sound quality is good but don't expect Bose quality.

I purchased this hub to start my home automation project. Shortly after purchasing it, I discovered that the Nest door bell would integrate with it allowing me to answer the door bell rings on the hub versus breaking out my cell phone, unlocking the phone and scrambling to answer the Ring door bell using the app. I like the fact that I can use it to set reminders to take out the trash and place meat in the freezer before the use by date. Its great for a cooking timer and I can ask the hub all kinds of questions. I would have given the device 5 stars if Google/Nest would do a better job of integrating with other vendor products (ADT and Ring). Alexa can work with ADT systems and Ring, Nest cannot. Get with the program Nest. One other thing that I like is the fact that the Best Buy staff were extremely helpful with showing me the product. The online support for this product is pretty good. I have encountered some technical challenges but was able to get help from the Nest hub technical support staff. I recommend purchasing this hub.
