This review is not intended to be read by someone who doesn't know what the average smart display should be capable of. I'm not gonna talk about those features. I'm giving it 3-4 stars because it does almost all of its intended duties well, it's visually sleek, and the size is very optimal. I'm taking off one star because (1) the microphone's ability to detect my voice is really not satisfactory. This took the spot of my old original Google Home, which moved to another room. The original Google Home still detects my commands - from a room away - more consistently than the Nest Hub. (2) It bothers me when you load a device with a load that it struggles with handling straight out of the box. This only applies on the display itself (not the voice commands). It often gets slow and loses the smooth transitions if I'm using the touch detailed controls of my smart lights or speakers. I'm really not sure if it's a bang for the buck or not. Maybe the Hub Max is worth the extra price? I don't know. Also, I haven't tried any other options that serve the Google Assistant ecosystem and I'm not aware that they exist.

We weren't sure just what we'd do with this, but find it very handy for looking things up and also for timing things in the kitchen. Hands-free, plus you can have multiple timers. Also useful for controlling smart devices. We're still learning!

I like that there's a screen that you can see your queries such as the weather and direction. Also good for hands-free video browsing: my son used it for learning how to use a neck tie. It is also better in recognizing voice and normal conversation better than Alexa.

The Google Home Hub is great addition to the Home line. It isn't too big so it can blend it with the background and a lot of its features are good like the light EQ that match the screen display brightness with the light source in the room. Definitely a good pick up!

I love this little gadget for my kitchen. I can pull up recipes with ease and setup to do lists and order all from this little personal assistant. You can also keep up with your morning news during a cup of coffee!

LOVE! I have this in my kitchen and use it pretty often. I connected it to a smart plugs and also use it as an extra timer when making food. This device picks up what you ask so nicely. I love not having to repeat myself!

Works as expected. The sound is just as good as the minis which for as small as they are I have no complaints. The screen helps in the Kitchen which is where we have it. The screen dim is very nice, when not is use it looks more like a picture frame then a screen.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She wanted something to listen to streaming music on in bed as well as an easy way to up date her calendar w/o having to always use her smartphone. The Google Nest Hub fills the bill wonderfully.

I really like this device as it works great and pairs well with the hub. I just wish it gave me the option to do face2face communication with my loved ones like the Echo. Otherwise, there’s no difference in its capabilities to satisfy my needs.

Ok, I’m an Alexa fan and pretty much entrenched in the echo universe but at 100.00 for two google hubs I couldn’t resist. In fact, I purchased two of these earlier through Costco at 130.00For a pair! As it stands today I have a combination of echo’s and google nest hubs (4). I run a lot of routines through Alexa and these usually work well for me. With this said, I was really impressed with googles picture display. They do an incredible job of auto adjusting to the lighting environment they are in. Photos look great, better than a framed photo. They also do a nice job in automation. Google works more often then Alexa for some of my routines. For instance, I have an August smart lock. When I ask Alexa to lock or unlock the door I get not much better than a 70% successful response. I’ll then ask google to perform this function and it works. Not ready to break up with Alexa but will admit the nest product family (thermostats, cams and alarm systems) have me intrigued - now if they could just figure out their subscription plans and set some competitive pricing they “might” win me over. I do like these hubs. They’re nice looking and do the job they’re intended to do. They also make the best photo frames I’ve seen!!

I’ve been waiting for google to come out with this, so I can see the song titles and artists of what’s playing. I have it in the kitchen, and I can look up recipes too. I can tell it to turn on the lamp and even say goodnight, and it will turn my security alarm on

We have been using the home hub for about a month and really trying to take advantage of all of its simple to use features, such as search and video and audio- which all work perfectly. Next step is to integrate it with many of the home features that go with it.

I bought this as a bundle savings deal with a Nest Thermostat with a significant discount through my utility provider. I have Google Home enabled speakers, lights, cameras, TV's, etc and this fits in really nicely. The speaker isn't that great but having controls on a screen is really useful for the whole home especially for my ease of use for secondary users or home guests.

Purchase this to use with the Nest Hello doorbell. Unfortunately, we didn't like the doorbell so we returned the doorbell along with this item. I thought the Nest Hub performed better and was nicer looking compared to the Echo Show, but since we are sticking with the Ring Pro Doorbell the Echo Show just makes more sense.

I got it with my google pixel phone. The speaker sound quality is really nice. Works as my smart home assistant . The casting features needs a little improvement. Not everything can be casted. Only known apps such as youtube, netflix, prime can be casted. But otherwise good product. Can be used as digital album too.

Fun product to talk to and get information from. More efficient than Alexa and has a sharp 7" screen to watch videos on. If you're deciding between amazon and google, I recommend this product. If you are a google household and dont have this, you should get it.

The Goggle hub has made us so happy. From turning on/off up/down lights, to playing any video on demand. The hub is so simple to set up and use. I would rec. to anyone turning their home into a smart home, or to anyone looking for a music player you can command.

I bought this as a gift for my step dad for Christmas... he loves it... he shops on Amazon daily..LOL and this just makes it more convenient for him.... plus he likes monitoring the daily forecast. Thanks Best Buy...

I found this so much better than the Alexa...was able to quickly able to integrate with my home automation system...very easy to use. Distinct advantage over Alexa is its international use. Color blends in with decor.

This is the best mashup of a smart speaker and a digital photo frame. Its a small screen but great for a kitchen counter top or sofa table. Lenovo offers bigger screens with a like functionality for a good price but this one from google gets updates faster.
