I like having the added benefit of the visuals along with the Google Assistant. I' d read a review before purchasing that mentioned it likes to be close to your WiFi router, which I recently found to be true. I originally had it placed right next to my router and decided to swap places with my Echo Show (1st Gen) on my kitchen counter. I'd never really had a problem with the Echo Show losing internet connectivity on the kitchen counter which is only 15-20 feet from the router as opposed to sitting right next to it but after a couple of days and multiple lost connections, decided to swap them back to their original locations. Also, I got the Echo Show first and use it for my shopping list, perfect being in the kitchen adding items as you realize you're running out of something & also a kitchen timer. I'd tried using the Google Home hub for that & although it works great for a timer, in trying to navigate to the shopping list on the app, which I use while at the grocery store, it took way too long to get there in the Google app. The Google voice match has also been problematic for me as I have done the voice match multiple times and am still told it doesn't recognize my voice. Convenient for home control, as is Amazon Echo. Do love the integration with my Chromecast!

OMG I just installed one and I'm moving away from my Echo system! Does things better and more consistently. Replacing my echo one piece at a time. So far everything I have is cross compatible. Oh, and actually there is no problem running both (so far)

I am used to Alexa products. Got this to help relatives in quarantine throughout a home with Covid to help communicate on video. Assumed for price and product type due to my experience with Alexa that these had cameras. They don’t. Have to spend 2x to get camera.

This thing is great even as just a digital picture frame. But add the Google home functions, speaker for music, video screen to watch YouTube or Hulu on in the kitchen and much more. It's even better. Would not have paid full price for it to be honest as it doesn't fit our budget. But got it for 20 bucks when we purchase a nest thermostat. That's a steal!!!

Absolutely love the Home hub. I already owned the home mini and home max and was very Happy but this is really great. Have it in my kitchen and we find d that we use it daily. Google has done a great job incorporating Google assistant into a screen.

I have Nest products all over the house and after purchasing the Next Hello doorbell I have the Google Hub to see who is at the door. We also have Amazon Echo devices which work well, but I would say the Google hub is a step above.

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift. She loves it! She always listened to YouTube videos while in the kitchen to pass the time. She now uses this exclusively. The Nest Smart Display does other things that we both love - we have family photos on rotation, check the weather on a daily basis and have our calendar linked to it. Best of all, our smart devices in our house can be controlled from here as well. I cannot express how fast it is too. She asks for a video to play and it plays almost instantly. This fact may be lost on some but it really amazed me on how well it works. Would highly recommend in a common area such as kitchen. Best of all, I bought this with Black Friday sales and the price was very reasonable.

What a great way to have the power of Google at your beck and call whenever you have questions that need answering. From "who was that actor in that movie" to "what can I cook with these ingredients" it's great getting answers ASAP.

I love the Nest Hubs! I have 3 of them. 1 in the living room, 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the office. I pull up YouTube videos (e.g. Young Turks, The Humanist Reportm and when I move to a different room I use the Google Home app to "throw" the video to the Nest Hub in that room to continue watching. Or, I can "throw" the video from my Nest Hub to my Chromecast-enabled TV or vice versa. The Nest Hubs are also great for getting weather reports with hourly data. It's also surprising the range of questions they can answer. Yesterday I asked for the military background of a Watergate burglar and got the answer I was looking for. Amazing! I'm sure I haven't even tapped 1% of their potential. Best Buy is the place to buy, too. Great service, Great return policy.

I bought it because I wanted something different and set it up in my room when I come in I talk to it and it turns the light on and shuts them off. Still learning different commands but it helps me out every day I dont regret getting it love it!!

I purchased Nest Hub for bedroom use. It has nice sound for music to relax, and when light bulbs purchased, it controls lighting as well. This is my first smart home purchase and would suggest others start here as well.

So I purchased this hub for a gift, but couldn't wait for them to try it, so I opened it and tried it on my own. I was thrilled with what it could do. I used it mainly for helping in the kitchen where my wife and I followed the recipes for cooking.

This is a fantastic Google Home Hub with the perfect screen size. The only problem I've run into is that I can't change the photo on the screen to a customized one, which is disappointing ,but not a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend this product to some one in the future.

Very enjoyable device. Provides cooking directions, news, games for kids and will even play shows from different apps (linked through Google home). Must have for the active kitchen user.

Great price for this! Google home is a step up. It is very similar to the alternative Alexa product by Amazon. It is just a different platform. Nice to have the screen. You will NOT go wrong if you buy it! Treat yourself and enjoy!

It is uses it for recipes, music in the kitchen, check the news, and get just about any information you can imagine all while doing her cooking, and entertaining etc. I made lots of points giving it as a B'day present!

I really like the Google Home Hub display. It is not obtrusive. Indeed, it is very subtle. I also like the fact that there is no camera. In this age of privacy concerns, it is good to know that a "bad actor" can surreptitiously access the camera.

I have mine set up in the kitchen and I love that I can just ask Google to show me a recipe and it stays on the screen until I swipe it off unlike the Google mini where I had to repeatedly ask her to repeat steps because I couldn't keep up.

Bought this when there was a deal to buy the home Hub and get two minis free! Set my mom up with the home hub and one mini and kept one for myself! She loves it and we taught my niece how to interact with it! Great for all ages and super helpful.

We love it - we didn’t set it up exactly correct - I want photos to flow but that can wait until my son visits. I love asking for music and it plays unlike Alexa who kept telling me what I wanted to hear was extra. Fun toy for the home.
