Very Useful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the old Google Hub model for a while, but having the screen hub has been very useful. If you have many Google products like the Nest Cam then this is super nice to have. When the doorbell rings the Google Hub automatically shows who is at the door along with the option of talking to them from the hub. It syncs with a lot of other smart products like the alarm system so it’s been super useful to have. Overall it’s been a great purchase especially when they are on sale.

Affordable, starter smart voice assistant
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several of these which I have purchased on sale. Everytime they're on sale, they are amazingly affordable. Quality wise, it's fairly decent considering it's a Google product. The device OS/software doesn't feel as smart as one would hope. There are many times it doesn't understand me or that it interprets the incorrect word. The app feels outdated and not organized. I have added and removed smart items and for some reason they still remain on the app. If they happen to (actually) remove from the APP, it still appears to live somewhere since using voice control does not reflect the change, for example, I once controlled my dining lights with two smart plugs, then I switched to smart bulbs and removed the plugs, but when I ask to turn off all lights in that room, it tells me "turning off 4 lights" even though I only have two smart devices in that room. I also often have to repeat a request. I have begun switching to Alexa products, because my Google products stopped connecting to my Wyze products. I'm not sure if this is a Wyze issue (which I wouldn't doubt) or a Google one. I just assumed that there was a reason the Google products were so affordable. We all know the saying "you get what you pay for." All that to say, I still recommend as an affordable smart home hub/system. When it works, it works well, but when it doesn't work, it can be very frustrating. I'lll leave you with two more points, it is smart to recognize who is speaking to it (if you have a household) which is convenient when asking to play music (it knows what account to select). If using to view cameras, it takes a while to load and has sort of a buffer/lag.

I like it way more than I thought I would.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My summary kind of says it all. This is basically a google home mini with a screen. The sound quality is okay, and the mics are evidently pretty great because it has no problem hearing me from across the room. The real benefit is the screen. Having to see calendar events at a glance and control my lights via a menu as opposed to my voice or my phone is SO nice. It’s a little pricey, but if you can get it on sale and are looking for a smarthome hub, this thing is great.

You will have no regrets- great product!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it, I get to see my loved ones phonies every time I walk by it. Overt handy and accessible if I need information on any topic. Reminds me to get my laundry as I asked for the reminder when I put in the laundry. It’s something I tend to forget as the laundry room is in the basement. Able to watch Netflix ir Hulu as I am cooking dinner if I choose. Just live this awesome little thing!!!

Google Home Hub
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have replaced 3 of my original Google Homes with HUBS. They not only provide all the function of the original Home, but allow photos to be display or let me stream one of my security cameras or play a YouTube on them. We also like to visual timers in the kitchen. Without a built in camera, there is no worry about visual spying either. The sound and mic appear to be better than the original as well. I have also given these as gifts. We really like the functionality of the HUB.

We love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I love the Google home hub! I bought it for her to use in the kitchen while she's cooking. She always watches YouTube videos while cooking and this make it easier for her with the big screen and better sound quality. We also use it to set reminders, alarms, events, calls, and to play music. Its loud enough to hear throughout the house. We have friends that have Alexa and Alexa doesn't understand some words and doesn't know how to look things up as good as Google.

Great assistant even without a camera.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google Home Hub model without the camera is a nice step up from the Google Home Mini. Save you phone or tablet battery if you normally use them to watch videos. You can do whatever you need to do minus video chat. It is so easy to setup. Sound quality is decent for its size. I would say this model is great for entry level. Placement is key use in locations were you might need to see or interact. Use the minis in other areas.

Less issues then had with Echo show 2nd generation
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaces my echo show 2nd generation. I was having issues the echos controlling devices and whatnot. So far so good, no issues controlling anything I have hooked up. Pairs with my lights, cameras, TV, phones, and Xbox amazing. Setting routines is easy and intuitive. Adding new devices is also a breeze. If your between the two systems for your home or apartment I would go with Google.

Awesomeness!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say I absolutely love this little thing more than I thought I would. I figured having an android phone I wouldn’t care for the extra features like having Netflix, YouTube, my music streaming platforms etc on here in addition to the smart clock and assistant functions but I love this thing. I set up smart bulbs in my room and this thing allows me to control the brightness, color scheme etc for all bulbs collectively or individually! And so much more can be added such as security cams, AC thermostat controls, android tv integration etc. And it moves so seamlessly and smoothly! Even small things like how faint and ambient the clock as when you have all lights out at night for bed yet it’s enough to clearly see the time while not being bright enough to interrupt sleep AT ALL. Forget to set an alarm on your phone that’s on the table charging? Cool, just tell the assistant to set the alarm and bam... it’s done in 1 and a half seconds. Want to change that alarm to different time? I could go on and an and this is just from the little bit of time I’ve had it in the last 24 hours since purchase.

I kinda want one in every room....
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this one in my kitchen. The software itself has been getting better and better. Now, most of my apartment's lights are voice activated, and this hub is a big part of that. It works for getting recipes, or listening to music, the speaker is pretty good for its size, and the screen looks great for my own albums. It seems the screen's refresh rate is...strangely low? It seems like it isn't like a 60 hz panel or something, so don't expect the interactions to be very smooth. It isn't an iPad of a Surface or anything. But it does the trick for the intended job.

The Best Assistant Tied To One Of The Best Smart D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used many different virtual assistants, Siri, Cortana, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Of them all, I have found that the Google assistant is the best at understanding me and capable of answering me with relevant responses. This has been further helped by the fact that in a recent software update, Google released Continued Conversation for the Home Hub, a feature that allows the Google Home Hub to wait for your response to its answer so that you don't have to keep on repeating the phrase, "Hey, Google," just to ask another question. The smart display that the Google Assistant is tied to, namely the Google Home Hub, is one of the best, although perhaps not THE best. Many professional reviews have called into question the smaller speakers or screen size of the Google Home Hub compared to other smart displays, but I have very few complaints. I rarely use it at max volume, seeing as I feel that it is too loud. If you have a particularly loud kitchen (or whatever room you're using it in) you may disagree with me; however, I have no found no problem with the volume of the speakers. Also, as far as the screen is concerned, while I would love it if there were a larger screen, this smaller screen, about 7 in, is very unobtrusive and will blend into almost any space in the house. All in all, I strongly recommend the Google Home Hub if you would like to have the Google Assistant in the kitchen, or maybe even in your bedroom, especially seeing as this one has no camera, and therefore less privacy concerns. I would, however, wait to buy this on a special. At least twice since the Google Home Hub was released, there have been $50 off sales for the Google Home Hub at the price of $100 instead of $150.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I mainly use it as a monitor with smart home cameras the only thing is I haven’t figured out how to keep it from going out of mode after a while.I also tell it to play music sometimes which the sound is awesome.I make duo and regular calls but it has no built in camera, you can see who your calling they just can’t see you unless you have your own camera connected. I really like it and plan to get more smart plugs and ad more devices. Sometimes you tell it something and it’s not correct so you just have to repeat it again and your good.

Function meets Fashion
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded to this one from the previous smaller hub and what a difference it made! For starters, the sound quality is on another level with this one. Deep bass. Clear highs. The screen looks amazing as well. Bright. Full. We use this everyday to listen to news in the morning, view the doorbell camera, check recipes, and check the weather forecast. Would definitely recommend!!!

Could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hub is a very nice addtion to my smart home devices. I like the fact that you can see the time and weather. Google searches now have a visual. You can watch youtube! The screen is responsive and and you can interface with the touch screen. It's a tablet that you or your kids cant walk way with. Looking on the market now i should have looked more to the lenovos hub with google assistant. It does video calls and can be placed horizontal and vertical and there are two options on size. The speaker sounds good but the best sounding google assistant speaker will be the maxx or the home. Over all still a nice unit.

love the picture frame
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put this in my kitchen and love everything about it. I didn't realize how much i would love having my google photos cycle through. It would pop up some photos from years past and really puts a smile on my face. Being able to send test messages while my hands are busy in the kitchen is really helpful. So many things it can do. My next purchase will probably be the hub max. Really love those pictures. lol

Great Device Works Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say I have been a heavy Amazon Echo system user for years. I avoided Google system because I did not want 2 ecosystems and Amazon integrates with far more products. But since they bought Nest and Nest won't integrate with Echo after August I took the plunge. I did not want to replace thousands of dollars of cam, etc. Well the integration between google its product is very well done. The nest products work incredible well with google home. Very fast response of video. Laos the Nest cam can do more than with echo (like changing HVAC system modes). I thought it would be a pain to have 2 ecosystems but it is actually not. Their display is very nice, very fast. Google Home is much more limited than Amazons echo system as far as integrating with smart home products, but their system does work very well with what it does integrate with. I have a smart TV with google home built in and now I can control everything (nest stuff), through TV itself since it can always listen like any google device. It is all tied together now. Google just needs to expand and integrate with more and more devices. But if you have Nest products this integrates extremely well.
